I'm Mazkeraide, but most people call me Mazzie. This here's my profile for FF.net. I mostly write fairy tale retellings, which are always a blast for me because I love to look at them from different angles. I haven't updated this thing in a while (since 2008, I think) so I've gone through and changed a few things. Not many. Mostly just getting rid of things that didn't matter.

My Stories

In Progress:

A Promise of Peace- Isabella simply will not marry Teren Thundergrad, no matter what her parents say. She loves Gavin, after all! Meanwhile, Arija and her sisters are tempted by promises of glorious futures, and what on earth is going on with King Reynold? A conglomeration of fairy tales.

The Tower in the Woods- It's not every day you find a princess trapped in a tower. Prince Chuck absolutely adores Princess Elise, but his friend Laurence is suspicious. Who exactly is Elise, and what does she want? Written for the ACA Ficathon 2011.

Completed:

Supernatural Angst- a Supernatural oneshot. One night as I was going to bed I realized how perfectly Potter Puppet Pals' Wizard Angst fit Supernatural characters. The next day I wrote this with my sister. Personally I think it's hilarious. Check it out if you're a Supernatural fan or if you just love a good laugh.

Thou, O Queen- a oneshot based on Snow White. Although Snowdrop has found her prince, the evil queen is still at large. Can she still have her happy ending?

Glass- when a selfish prince makes a bad decision, he dooms not only himself but his entire staff. Years later, a young woman cursed by the same spell comes to the castle to save him. Will she be able to break the spell?

The Cursed Prince- He'd read fairy tales all his life, so he knew exactly what would happen when he was thrown into one...didn't he? An original fairy tale, written in a world where fairy tales are real and their characters self-aware.

Jorinda and Jorindel- He was a simple shepherd. She was the most beautiful girl in town. Now she's been cursed by an evil witch and he's her only hope of survival.

On Hiatus:

Efiathe's Champion- a fanfiction of Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams. It tells the story of Ebekah and Camaris. Takes place before The Dragonbone Chair, as in like forty to fifty years before. SPOILERS for To Green Angel Tower, which technically means the whole trilogy I suppose. So if you haven't read it, don't read this. I feel so bad that I abandoned this pair in the midst of their epic romance, but even if I do update again, it won't be until the whole thing has had a major revamp. I'll probably start work shortly after I finish Glass.

Tas Saves Yule- apparently I am only going to update this once a year. A humorous Christmas story, putting Dragonlance characters into Elmo Saves Christmas.

Forthcoming:

My completed NaNoWriMo 2010 novel will be posted as soon as I've got some editing done. I may also start reposting Glass as I edit it.
