Author has written 22 stories for Maximum Ride, Harry Potter, and Alex Rider. ...fandoms... Alex Rider by Anthony Horowitz, Harry Potter by JK Rowling, Maximum Ride by James Patterson ...sometimes... His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer, Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins ...about the author... Check out the link on my homepage, up there at the top, for updates on where I am in my writing/why I'm taking so long to update. (Takes you to my new livejournal!) ...works... (minor biographies) The Firm is a collaboration of Alex Rider writers writing round robin style in the hopes of creating a super-awesome story. :) It's really described much better on the profile page, so check it out--the first chapter is up! We also do monthly prompts that anyone can participate in, as I go into below. :P Divergence. (Alex Rider). In-progress. Written for one of The Firm's May prompts, accusation. (Although, to be honest, the accusation part was little more than a starting point for me. It kind of...evolved into something very different while I was writing it. Which is fun!) I like it a lot so far, and I tend to switch points of view a lot, which keeps it moving fast. (Or so I think. Feel free to tell me if you disagree!) Don't Fear the Reaper. (Alex Rider). Complete. Wow, this was fun to write. Written for The Firm's April prompt challenge, I chose reaper and ran with it. I love how it turned out, and apparently a lot of readers did too. Check it out! (Please? :P) The Ripple Effect. (Alex Rider). In-progress. Officially started, but in need of updates. I'll do my best, I promise! Collection. (Alex Rider). In-progress. My collection (clever title, huh?) of 100 word drabbles. Once upon a time I was doing one a day...I'm going to try to pick that up again soon, I'll let you know how it goes. :) This is the Altar. (Alex Rider). In-progress. It's so much fun to write John and Helen - plus I thought this fandom needed some nice fluff. As I will probably never pair Alex with anyone, this was a nice way to do it. :) For all of the people out there who love Yassen - don't worry, he'll be in this. I don't quite understand the obsession, but I do have to agree that he's a cool character. No Signs of Weakness. (Alex Rider). Complete. I love the way this turned out - it's very morbid of me, but I'm really happy with it. It was originally going to be a one-shot, but I had some continuing ideas with it and I wanted to give my lovely reviewers a Christmas present. So now it's a three-shot :). It's also a prequel to Reeducation, if anyone cares. (Also, I'm thinking about writing another prequel because it was so much fun... but I may have to write some more of Reeducation itself first!) Origins. (Maximum Ride). In-progress. Well, it's official: I'm an idiot. Not only do I have three stories already in progress, I promised myself I wouldn't write in in Maximum Ride because the fandom has deteriorated too much. But the vicious plot bunny grabbed on and just wouldn't let go, no matter how hard I shook it. I really like the beginning chapter, so we'll see how it goes. (And, idiot that I am, already have the bare bones of a trilogy planned out!) Reeducation. (Alex Rider). In-progress. This was one of those silly little plot bunnies that just wouldn't let go! I tried to put off writing it until I finish Repercussions, but that didn't happen. I'm having too much fun with it - cold!Alex is challenging to write. Some Friendly Competition. (Alex Rider). Complete. Comes from a line that really caught my attention in Snakehead, and was a pretty interesting writing experience. I had fun coming up with Matt's character, and his history. Probably too much fun, really. Repercussions. (Alex Rider). Complete. The sequel has begun! Someday, it will probably go through a rewrite stage so I can get further into the religious aspect of the story. I didn't write as much of that as I would've liked to. Delayed Reaction. (Harry Potter). Complete. I love this one-shot for no real reason but the last line. I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. (Harry Potter). In-progress. Kind of my baby when it comes to my fics. The updates are very random, but I will never abandon this story. Tuesdays. (Alex Rider). Complete. I am inexplicably proud of this story. It was my first attempt at a dramatic sort of one-shot, and I think it turned out rather well. It took some time to post, but it's all good now. I'll Be Home For Christmas. (Harry Potter). Complete. Was originally supposed to be 12 one-shots, but the spark basically died. And I ran out of time. :P So it's now Molly/Arthur fluff. Comfortably Numb. (Harry Potter). Complete. I like this, but then I like depressing one-shots. Stories in the Staffroom. (Harry Potter.) Complete. Yech. This needs to be reformatted. Otherwise, though, I'm pretty happy with it. A Different Perspective. (Maximum Ride). Complete. For my first piece of fanfiction, it's not bad. I'm not sure if I managed to capture the mindset of a 14-year-old male, but I did try. ...miscellaneous... Pairings: Alex Rider needs no romance. (Seriously!) Harry Potter: Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks, Bill/Fleur, Neville/Hannah, basically all the canon couples, though I can tolerate the occasional Neville/Luna or Luna/Dean. Dislike reading slash - nothing against it, but it's not my thing. Twilight: All the canon ones. I am so beyond glad that Jacob has finally imprinted - he is the main reason I didn't love Eclipse. Maximum Ride: Max/Fang. Occasionally Iggy/Ella. I'm not a big fan of Iggy/Nudge. Pimpage: For my fellow AR obsessives, cricketchick1990, amitai, Amari Bell, Nyxelestia and scorpia710 all write stuff I love to see updated. (Cricketchick gets a special mention because she and I are brain twins and she has reviewed nearly all of my stories!) If you are in need of some excellent HP stuff, I really recommend little0bird. Most of her stuff can be found in my favorites and my c2. Also, I recommend the stories When Your Life Is an Epilogue by Sailor X1 (severely underappreciated for its level of brilliance) and The Unbreakable Vow, by Ash Darklighter, which also gets way less reviews than it should. For other stuff, check my c2. In Maximum Ride, it's sometimes hard to navigate. Not to fear! Emmy-loo is here! I really recommend turquoise.seas for this one, guys. Excellent Fax without going overboard. :) Other: I found this genius article about how to write a good fanfic (read it, please! it's hilarious as well as informative!): http://firefox.org/news/articles/650/1/Dr-Merlin039s-Guide-to-Fanfiction/Page1.html | |||||||||
