Author has written 14 stories for StarTrek: The Next Generation, Transformers/Beast Wars, DC Superheroes, Blakes 7, Magic Knight Rayearth/魔法騎士レイアース, and Avatar: Last Airbender.

Hi,

Just to tell you a little about myself:

I'm a child of the 80's, female, and way too obsessed with Transformers (especially G1, BW, & TFA)! You can often find me on the Transformers TFW2005 boards as Fairlady_Z or at the TMNT TheTechnodrome boards as Time Mistress or even the DC Boards as Helena Wayne.

I love to write/read in a lot of other categories too - Zorro, TMNT, X-Men, Star Trek (especially TNG and DS9), Green Arrow, Robin Hood, The Last Unicorn, Fraggle Rock, Doctor Who, Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis, Highlander, Buffy/Angel, Rurouni Kenshin, Ranma 1/2, Ducktales (Carl Barks and Don Rosa included), Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Jem, ThunderCats, G.I. Joe, Silverhawks, Batman: TAS, Blake's 7, Tracker, Queen of Swords, Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, Due South, Alias, Magic Knight Rayearth, Galaxy Rangers, Avatar: The Last Airbender, to name several.

Favorite types of fanfic: I normally write/read fics that take place "between the episodes," character pieces, or continuations of a series after it is over, though I do enjoy the occasional crossover or alternate universe tale.

Types of fic I don't like: Slash (sorry, it's just not for me), obvious Mary Sues (well-written OCs are perfectly okay though).

Thanks to everyone who has reviewed and favorited my stories so far. Your encouragement really does help keep fanfic authors like me writing! So if you like a story, please review it, even if it's just a quick "I like it." Otherwise, how do I know if you read and enjoyed it? : - )

It's simple, you review mine and there's a very high chance I'll review yours. I've been getting a lot better at that myself, because I've realized that writers tend to seek out other writers that write stories and characters similar to their own styles and taste. If you're trying to find good stories one of the best things you can do is check out the profile page and stories of those who have left you a review. Because, lets face it, when you have story archives on here as big as Transformers or Avatar: The Last Airbender finding good stuff can seem like an overwhelming task. Yes, genre and character catagories help, but I'm sure many a poor writer has posted something new only to have it burried in the archive 5 pages down within less than 48 hours, and there are days I know I just don't feel like digging for them. So sadly, many a good fanfic goes unread because the right reader simply can't find it. I know we've all been there. So all you visitors who are kind enough to read full stories, seriously consider writing a review, especially if you have fanfic in that same archive, you might just gain a new fan yourself in the process. At the very least, consider favoriting or putting the story or author on your alert list so you can find those burried archive treasures again when your in the mood for them.

What you can expect from me in the future:

1. Gemini: A Sunstreaker/Sideswipe fic, the movie showed one twin on the Moonbase and one at Autobot City, how do the twins deal with this separation? UPDATE: Chapter 8 now up! Looking to be 12 to 13 chapters total according to my outline.

2. Zuko: Crown Prince Chronicles - done in the style of my Green Arrow stories. I have several ideas for future chapters at this time. UPDATE: Chapter 30 is up and chapters 23 & 24 will be parts 2 and 3 of Broken and Branded, currently being edited and revised.

3. TLA: Adventures at the North Pole - I'm starting to outline this one. I'm hoping to start writing it in the next few months and hope to alternate between it and Crown Prince Chronicles.

4. an old ST: DS9 Garak story I have to retype (lost it in one of my computer upgrades, thank goodness I keep printed copies of all my old fics) UPDATE: Backburnered unitl I can get Gemini finished. I lost my only hard copy in a pile of papers somewhere and can't find it for now.

5. Green Arrow Short Stories - UPDATE: This fic is done for now. DCNu GA doesn't really excite me.

Lunatique has started a Avatar fic author interview series and guess who got to be the test subject! I think it came off quite well. So for anyone who wants to know more about why I write fanfic please check out her featured fic essay on Crown Prince Chronicles followed by her interview with me done in two parts at:

Some recommeded shows/movies/books with an elemental or martial arts theme to keep you occupied until Legend of Korra premieres in 2012 (in no particular order):

1. Magic Knight Rayearth - think Sailor Moon meets Dungeons and Dragons. Hiraku (fire), Umi (water), and Fuu (air) are three ordinary Tokyo girls who are destined to become the Magic Knights and save the fantasy world of Cephiro. Two seasons long. Anyone looking for a show where girls kick butt should love it. Plus it has giant robots!

2. TMNT 2007 movie - Mako plays Splinter. Really I could stop there for reasons to see it, but for anyone who loves martial arts and is curious about how the new Nickolodeon show might look, this should give you a good idea. The animation is spectacular (this came out a whole year before Kung Fu Panda wowed the world) and the mesage of family and brotherhood is very heartfelt, even if the villian is a bit underdeveloped (but he is played by Patrick Stewart.) Plus Mae Whitman is going to play April in the new Nick TMNT show.

3. TMNT 2003-2009 - for those who prefer beautiful 2-D animation with arguably some of the best animated fight scenes and continuing storylines in the past decade of TV animation look no further than this underated gem. The first five seasons are nothing short of spectacular with season five (aka the Lost Season) taking a particularly mystical bend (with each turtle getting paired up with an element). Later seasons such as Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers change animation style and direction thanks to network interference. But they still have their enjoyable share of episodes and Turtles Forever (the 3 episodes special that was season 8) is a true love letter to the fans and not to be missed. This version of TMNT stands as one of the best North American adaptations of comic book to animation to date. Zuko fans should find Karai the Shredder's daughter a particularly interesting character.

4. Kung Fu Panda 1 & 2 - Nickolodeon is giving us a a marital arts trifecta of coming shows and this is the movie series that proved Dreamworks could take on Pixar. Beautiful animation, heartfelt storytelling, if you haven't seen these yet, now would be the perfect time to catch up. It looks like the new show Legends of Awesomeness and TMNT will be using the Sifu Kisu's team for their martial arts live action reference as well as Korra, now that is awesome!

5. The Five Ancestors by Jeff Stone - This middle grade/young adult book series is about five young monks who escape the burning of the Shaolin Temple and thwart a secret plot to rule China. Each monk has his (or perhaps even her) own animal style of kung fu they specializes in. There are seven books in the series several of which end on exciting cliffhangers. Zuko fans should particularly like the character of Ying who follows a very similar story arc of bad to good. And Toph fans should come to like the character of Seh, the snake monk. The best thing about Stones's writing are his incredibly well written action scenes. I have yet to see a better writer describe martial arts fights in a more understandable, exciting way. The books are - Tiger, Monkey, Snake, Crane, Eagle, Mouse, and Dragon.

6. The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale - young adult series, think the four elements meets the Brothers Grimm. This series starts of fas an adaptation of the fairy tale the Goose Girl and then grows to become a marvelous tapestry of themes and characters examining war, friendship, manipulation, and balance. Ani/Isi (air) is a princess in exile not unlike Zuko but with a temperment more like Aang. She can also talk to some animals. Enna (fire) is a loyal, hotheaded commoner who has to learn to balance the tempting destructive side of her element as she desires to be a useful player in a war. Dasha (water) is an ambassador with a calm temperment, but is she friend or foe? Rin (earth) who has a similar truth telling ability as Toph runs away from home in hope of finding herself and adventure. Razo, one of Rin's older brothers, is funny and good with a slingshot, definately the Sokka if this series. Then there is the main villain who's manipulative skills, people-speaking as the books call it, and hatred of Ani/Isi very much like Azula. The books are - The Goose Girl, Enna Burning, River Secrets, and Forest Born. I highly recommend listening to the Full Cast Audio audiobook versions of this series.

7. Street Magic and Melting Stones by Tamora Pierce - part of the larger Emelan series though these books can easily stand alone. I have never seen a character who reminded me more of Toph than Evomeimei Dingsai. Evvy is Asian, smartmouthed, controls rock (and lava), and all shades of awesome just like Toph. Her best friend is even a talking rock creature. Though Evvy is a street rat and not noble born like Toph. I highly recommend listening to the Full Cast Audio audiobook versions of these two books, especially Melting Stones since it was originally conceived and recorded as an audiobook first with Evvy's voice actress in mind.

I have a few more book series I'm trying and will recommend the good ones once I finish them.
