*EPUB Project - an on-going gift to my readers; leave a comment here (194974.html) if you want to see one of my fics made into an .epub or .mobi for your e-reader! Over fifteen fics have been converted!

Since URLs fluctuate between enabled and disabled on the profile page, I am adding the post numbers at my LJ in parentheses for reference (i.e. 12345.html - stands for writer-klmeri.livejournal.com/12345.html)

[I.]

I write both gen and slash fanfiction, catering mainly to the three Star Trek characters Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. This FF.Net account has been with me for ages (I joined in 2000) but it is not my primary fic-chronciling site. I post first-and-foremost to my Livejournal account (writer_klmeri) created specifically as a journal to encompass a gamut of writing activities, both the good (actual fic posting!) and the bad (delayed chapters, evil deadlines, and fending off trollers, oh my). It is open to the public and to anonymous commenters.

I recently discovered authors now have the capability to create their own Forums (ha, I remember the days back when personal forum-ing wasn't even a possibility) but I will not utilize one here. If you want to keep up-to-date on my current or upcoming projects or marvel at my ridiculous penchant for nattering on or read works not posted to FF.Net, please visit my writing journal. Also, any questions on writing (see below for an example) or reviews which require responses not feasible by PM-ing, again, visit my journal. I swear things are neatly organized, properly tagged, and fairly easy to find!

To conclude, I hope you find something here to engage your imagination in a satisfactory fashion; this is the purpose of Story, after all. I am not a professional writer, nor am aspiring to be one, so please accept my humble offerings with a gracious heart.

An answer to a reader's question: Why/How do you write your stories, and what advice would you give on writing?

If I didn't begin my answer with some literary device - a silly metaphor, for instance - you might not realize how egotistical I am. (91299.html)

An answer to another reader's question: How do you tackle a long story?

I thought this was such a good question (and Lord knows I was pleased enough to receive it!) that I decided to post my answer in its own entry (174327.html)

You'll notice that I have marked no favorite stories... this is simply because I would break FF.Net with the list of them all. I am an avid reader who maintains a generous amount of pairings. I have browsed through so many fandoms, enjoyed SO MANY stories, that it would be a triple headache to even contemplate the thought of a top ten list. Therefore, I have listed some of my favorite FF.Net authors instead. Each author has produced unfailing good works, which are a joy to read. Please pay them a visit!
