Awe, dang it, it's been about a month since I've done this. Sorry all, school is just being a drag. Oh, and I'm addicted to skype thanks to a certain brilliant writer here (*coughDamnedLolita*cough*) and that's not too good. Plus, my laptop is being a total drag. But anyway, I promise to try and write more over the break. Really. Even though school sucked the creativity outta me, I shall do it! And I love snow. It's so beautiful. We just got over ten inches. That's more than we've had in my life at one time! It's so pretty.

Canon, to me, is what comes first. I will, however, tend to get more into or use something that isn't canon if I really love it. Like, I pretty much go by Tokyo Mew Mew anime (which isn't canon since the manga came first) because it's much deeper.

Just a few likes and dislikes will be listed below. Simply because.

Likes

Of course, I have more likes than what I'm going to put but these are just some basic things.

I love animals, for example. Absolutely adore them. And, yes, insects and humans happen to be animals as well. And fish. Why people sometimes forget this, I'm not entirely sure. My least favorite animals happen to be: Mosquitoes, flies, and parasites. (In other words, these are the animals I don't like, oh no). My favorite types of animals happen to be: Canines, felines, and marsupials. But if I had to pick one animal, it would most definitely by the wolf.

Alternative music. I love most music, actually, but this is just the kind I suppose I love the most. My least favorite genre is country (and yes, I'm from Tennessee, you shouldn't be surprised) but there are still some really good songs in it. I don't like mindless songs about sex and clubbing and all that nonsense but if it's got a wicked beat, I might get into it. (Like Lady Gaga. I don't care what you say. Her music is a disease.) Oldies music also doesn't really appeal to me though I've found a few gems that I love.

I have an odd obsession with animation. Especially anime, though I don't always find good ones. It just seems to have more depth than most American cartoons. Except for the glorious Avatar: The Last Airbender and kid movies. Not all kid movies are deep, of course, but there are some wondrous animated kid movies that I still have geek attacks about.

Now, I'm about to say something very, very obvious. So obvious in fact, it probably shouldn't even be listed but I shall anyone. And this very obvious thing is writing. I love writing. When I go without writing for too long, I honestly fall into depression. I lose concentration. I get twitchy and temperamental and all sorts of bad things. Which is why one should never take me away from it or try to force me to quit. Even if I go for a while without posting anything you can rest assured I am writing something.

There are also certain people in my life I appreciate and don't think I could live without. Whether I've met them recently or have known them for most of my life, I can't get over how important they are. Best for last, I guess. They're my motivation and they're the root of most of my problems and joys. Heck. Some of them I don't even talk to all that much but it's still a nice thing to get to chat. And what could these people be but my friends?

Dislikes

Oh no, the dreaded dislikes.

Well, I suppose a place to start is my dislike for extremists. Now, there are extremists and then there are extremists. I can understand getting pumped about something and being highly motivated but there becomes a point when you have to stop. Especially if it's hurting others. Especially if it's hurting a lot of others. Extremists include terrorists, radical feminists/insertreligionhere/racists/ect., and those pesky over-the-top homophobes [if it's a legitimate fear, fine, but do not shove your beliefs on others or hurt others because of it].

The extremist part covers quite a few of my dislikes involving people. But there's also one group that don't necessarily group into extremists but I'm pretty sure most extremists are these kinds of people. That's right. I'm talking about close-minded people. Tick me off, they do. I suppose I'm being close-minded by disliking them but, honestly, people will be different. Nobody is the same. So. It just rubs my nonexistent fur the wrong way when others have to make a big deal about this or get all snippy and angry because someone is different. [I realize this sounds entirely hypocritical but there's a difference between closed and narrow-minded and I'd like you to think about this].

The overuse of the words hate and love. Honestly, the value on these words have gone down so much. Love can be used in many ways, fine, I accept that. But what I'm talking about using the word love is when it's used in romantic undertones. I despise how casually people sling that word around in those situations when what they feel is limerence. The whole hate thing... Well. Hate is a powerful word. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't have all those other branches like love (such as platonic, a liking bordering on obsession with objects/art/ect, romantic). It is simply hate. And thus, when people use it all the time, it makes me want to hit them for using it so easily.

There's a certain pet peeve of mine that I'd like to say many people share. It's called abuse. I think this is self-explanatory.

Here is something I honestly hate. I occasionally slip into it, I suppose, and I beat myself up for it if I realize it's happening. It's when you hold one standard to a whole group of people (for example, gender is especially common) and then hold a different one to the other. Like, let's just say, a woman being raped is a big deal but when a man goes through the same experience it is either mocked, ignored, or treated much more lightly. Double standards just piss me off.

Notes: Five chapters left but I haven't been able to decide on the pacing. Crack couplage! [I don't know when I'll work on this again, honestly, but I'll definitely try to finish it.]

The Dragon Knight - in progress - rated T
Fandom: Bleach
Summary: Tatsuki-centric. Her struggles coping with lying friends, the supernatual and the dead , and doing her damn hardest to keep her friends safe. She may be five foot one but she's going to fight with all she has.
Couple: In pending.
Notes: I'm really unsure on this one and, as of now, will update very sparsely. Don't worry, I'll get around to it.

Enemy Mine - in progress - rated T
Fandom: Pokemon
Summary: Minady is left in charge of teaching a Seviper to be a good explorer and the Zangoose is not amused. Fang wants to get along with his partner but struggles with getting the ice queen to open up. Will they ever get along? Feudshipping. :SeviperZangoose:

Notes: This one is moving slowly as well, but only because I'm deciding on which route I want to take. xDD I'm working on chapter two as I write this so hopefully I'll add to it soon.

Twist In Fate - in progress - rated T
Fandom: Vocaloid
Summary: Just a few drabbles involving Haku and Len. Not really romantic unless you want it to be, I suppose. I'm aiming more for friendship but hey, your choice.
Couple: As shown, I don't really consider it romantic but Haku and Len are the focus.
Notes: I will update this one randomly since it's just a bunch of drabbles. They're all connected by how they met. However that chapter was lost but it won't mess up too much.

Fandom: Iron Fey series.
Summary: Emileigh Chase has a secret destiny-one she could never have imagined... Then again. She was always a bit of a daydreamer. Ah, who cares? Follow the tales of a snarker in the same situation as Meghan... and watch the differences unfold.
Couple: I suppose it'll have to turn into AshEmileigh. Maybe. But, darlings, this might take into the sequel since Emileigh is a bit... more resisting to romance than Meghan was.
Notes: I will try to finish this quickly so I can return my friend's book. It's just a project I'm undertaking that might end up taking more thinking than planned. We'll just have to see.

Entangled - in progress - rated T
Fandom: Pokemon. Game-verse.
Summary: Tabitha, captured by the horrible Team Aqua, has the worst possible member as his warden: Tactical Commander Shelly. And yet he still finds himself slipping down into her web. But is he the only one having trouble controlling his emotions? Commandershipping.
Couple: Commandershipping. Shelly and Tabitha.
Notes: I'm not able to post it right now, actually, due to fanfiction acting up. It's annoying me quite a bit. Now, this one already has nine for sure chapters, one I'm a bit hesitant on, and I'll be writing more today and tonight as of March 27th. I plan to post them weekly, possibly biweekly. It depends on reviews.

Notes: This is just me goofing off. I started it while on vacation without Internet and haven't really worked on it since--but I plan to. It's pretty fun to write. It's a pretty normal journey fic, the main characters are Kasey and Romani with Gold as a close friend and teammate and Silver as the rival. Kasey is aggressive and the POV character, Romani is her sweet best friend, and Gold... is Gold. xDDD Kasey's 'affectionate' nickname to Silver is 'Firecrotch' or, the ever so lovely, 'Bastard.'

Notes: This is about Lea and Isa. It begins shortly after meeting Ventus and ends when they become Nobodies. I was going to write two thousand words a day. But then got a virus. And am too upset to write anything.

Notes: It's very AU. Roxas has to be disguised as Ventus because he was kidnapped by a 'mysterious group'. Oh, by the way, Ventus and Terra are brothers. And princes. If Roxas' disguise slips it spells doom for him and his family. Isa and Lea are main characters and become rather friendly with Roxas... But will they learn his secret? (insert doom music)

Hapless Descent - writing it - rated T

Notes: This is me attempting to make a semi-believable Saix/Roxas story and it was inspired by another story in which I give full credit to in the author notes of the first chapter. I haven't written much in it but pretty much, Sora's dreams are controlling poor Roxas at different times and Saix finds out about Roxas' loss of control, deciding to teach him self-control so he can be useful to the organization.

Notes: Hahah, I've actually had this idea for years... It follows the manga but then diverges with the battle of Naraku. Rin, Shippo, and Kohaku are left from our main protagonists, Souta ends up going to the feudal era, and they attempt to find their missing loved ones.

Notes: This story is about a girl from our universe who gets stuck in the Pokemon universe--However, she doesn't even know what Pokemon is minus Pikachu and a vague recognition of pokeballs. Not only that, but she lands in sea. She has to befriend a series of water pokemon for survival and make it to land alive.

Notes: I've actually been working on this one for years but everytime I write it, I have to rewrite it. It's a self-insert fic that me and two of my friends goof about that I am trying to get down but it's hard to make it in-character and go with the plot so it's taking forever. And yes, it's a series. A rather long one. Each one represents a certain time and each title has a meaning.

Rant

Okay. People. Stop bashing characters. And if you're going to bash them, don't completely tear apart their or other people's characterizations just so you can be all "I hate this person." I'm talking about you people who hate on Masaya (I might not like him with Ichigo but he is a perfectly good person and you need to stop making him out to be some kind of cheater or abuser). And Kikyo (what the hell did she do to you? Kagome got Inuyasha in the end, didn't she?). And Kagome (...She didn't steal Inuyasha from Kikyo. Inuyasha chose her. It's kind of different, people. Plus, she helped Kikyo and where do you even get the idea that she's a slut? Hate her for being immature and abusing the sit command if anything). And why are people hating on Hojo so much? He's Hojo. He didn't really do anything. He wasn't even truly competition, the poor boy.

These are just some common people I've come to notice get bashed a lot. There are tons more, of course.

And hey, just because someone gets in the way of your ship doesn't mean you have to villainize them. If you can't figure out a way to settle the issue without making them completely out of character, than obviously you shouldn't be writing it. Now, I can understand the younger ones who bash. They're young. They have things to learn and understand. However, the older people? Really? You're going to be immature and change a character for messing up your shipping? For simply being there?

The people reading this probably aren't a part of this group of bashers... But I really just needed to let it out. I read a fic that had some major bashing.

Now, if you want an example of good fanfiction that manages to have couples without bashing the characters that are rivals to it, read some of RosieB's stuff. I have decided she is amazing. She is so refreshing after reading crap that depicts perfectly good characters as evil and promiscuous just to get the couple they want together.

It's an entirely other subject to have a character's villainization to simply be amounted to the POV character's beliefs, by the way. That's okay as long as they don't do any acts that show it's not just inside the character's head. I don't mind an unreliable narrator. I just despise ruining characters so your couple can be together. In real life, perfectly good people don't suddenly do a one eighty and start trying to abuse the person they love. No. But relationships can drift and change. Try to write that. It makes the story so much better.

Mkay. I think I'm good for now. Sorry to anyone who read this and was a bit startled. But really, this kind of crap has to stop.
