What's Up:

11.05.09: It's been two months since I posted something here. Wows. Anyways, down to business...
Gah! I still haven't finished writing
The Greatest Joy!! I seriously need to get around to that some time...
Passing the Torch!! I love this story. I am currently re-writing the epilogue because I wasn't satisfied the first time around. I also am working on some EXTRAS, as requested.
Ohmygosh, brain explosion!! I've had this absolutely BRILLIANT
idea! You see, a couple days ago I was in this terribly dreadful mood and I went and read some depressing fics and I had this great idea for a horribly tragic fanfic! I've already started it and I LOVE it so far! I know, I know, I sound so emo, enjoying this wonderfully saddening notion. I'll try to get a little more done on that before I (and if) I start posting.
The idea mentioned below is still in the works. I wasn't happy with how I started it off, so I decided to take a friend's advice and I've started over.
Finals. I just hate them. Tests make me fall asleep and right now that's what I could seriously use. Ugh...end the torture!
There are a ton of books that I would like to read. On my shelf AND on my "Must-Read" list. Some of these include:
Artemis Fowl; Percy Jackson and the Olympians; The Lake House; Charlie Bone; and Generation Dead. That's not it, though. Far from it. I also really wanna reread my favorites so I can re-evaluate the list and make changes where necessary. Who knows, Twilight just might lose its number one spot.
Your sleepy author,
eclipsed heart.

09.04.09: It's been some time since I've updated this thing. So here it goes:
School. Don't you just despise it? Sophomore year looks like it's gonna be a lot rougher than I thought it would be, especially with all those darn freshies...(no offense to any freshmen out there). I am busy juggling my hectic school schedule, which includes me missing two and a half hours of school time for a one hour and ten minute Precalculus class at the University. Part of that time includes lunch, which means I get hardly any time with my friends at school. As for my friends outside of school, well, homework takes care of them. I'm already tired and excited for the three-day weekend, when I FINALLY get to sleep in. Thank goodness for Labor Day!
Ey, any Trekkies out there? Anyone like Star Trek: TNG? Well, it's kinda become my favorite show and my brother (who got me into) wants me to consider writing some fanfics on it. Opinions??
The Greatest Joy...update in the works. I swear to it.
Passing the Torch...you guys enjoying it so far? I sure hope so, because I'm currently writing Chapter Twenty, so there's no turning back. Hopefully, when I'm done writing that one (and The Greatest Joy) I'll be able to start on this great Maximum Ride idea I've had brewing for a while. No, I won't tell right now. More info (possibly) to come.
Well, I should probably get back to my homework now. First week and I'm already swimming in it. But I guess that's high school...
Your innundated author,
eclipsed heart.

07.20.09: Do you guys love me? I mean, really, really love me? Then help me out please!!
Okay, so follow this link for the
Maximum Ride Fanfiction Awards 2. Nominate people! And if you love me lots and lots, nominate me or one of my fics for something and I'll love you forever and ever and ever!! I'm getting ready to go and make some nominations right now. So go try it out!! (Psst! Remember: I'll love you forever and ever and ever!) :D
Plus, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was great! Of course, some stuff was taken out, but it was still fabulous!
First chapter of
Passing the Torch is up. I hope you guys enjoyed it! New chapter to come in a few days!
Your antsy author,
eclipsed heart.

07.14.09: Wowzers, time goes fast. Nearly a month of summer has gone by. Hallelujah! Anyway, so far I've read a ton of books, spent one whole day in a bookstore without going berserk, taken a week off from life, and been bored out of my mind. But now comes the point in the summer where things get good.
OH MY GOSH!! TOMORROW IS JULY 15TH!! Not only is it my friend's 15th bday, but HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE COMES OUT!! Woo-hoo! I've got to go see that!
OH MY UNHOLY NUNS! FRIDAY IS JULY 17TH!! Not only am I probably doing nothing that day, but YOU GUYS ARE GETTING YOUR SEQUEL!! MR: Passing the Torch should be officially up and running on Friday, so just sit tight for a bit longer!
So, while I sit at home with my books and my computer, you guys are probably off having the times of your lives. Which is good for you. :)
I hope everyone's having a great summer!
Your excited author,
eclipsed heart.

07.02.09: Wow. I can't believe it's summer. I know it's gonna be a long summer 'cause the school year seemed much too short. Plus, I'm not even two weeks into break and I already can't wait for September. Jeesh, I have no life. Anyway, tomorrow I will be posting the very last chapter of MR: The After Years, but a sequel will be up soon enough. Not much else to say.
Your bored author,
eclipsed heart.

05.02.09:
OH.
MY.
FLIPPING.
ZEUS.
(That's a phrase you'll hear again quite soon.)
400. Isn't that SUCH a WONDERFUL number?? I think it is. AND it's what the review count for Maximum Ride: The After Years reads at this very moment. Oh my holy puppies!! (You'll also hear that phrase quite soon.) THANK YOU GUYS SOOO MUCH!! I LOVE YOU MUCHO!!
Also, do you guys like blue? Cuz that's what color my hair is now. Okay, okay, a bit of an exaggeration. It's more of a blue-green color, and it's only my bangs. And the dye only lasts about a month...but, whatever.

I was gonna type all four hundred 'THANK YOUs' but after I typed the first hundred, I realized that that was too crazy, so I just copied and pasted three times. But there you have it...a THANK YOU for each review (now 401). So, yah, if you didn't get the message up there...THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!
Your blessed author,
eclipsed heart.

Author Space:

First, an THANK YOU to anyone and everyone who has EVER reviewed ANY of my stories! I love reviews and I have been blessed to receive them and I am quite proud to say that I have NEVER received a flame! I may not always reply to reviews, but I have read every single one! THANK YOU very much! Your review was GREATLY appreciated.

Second, I try to update stories weekly, though I probably won't hit all of them in one weekend. I would appreciate if you guys could be patient with me and keep in my mind that I do have a life outside of FanFiction. However, if I haven't updated ANY story in three weeks, feel free to complain, criticize, and push, unless I have announced an absence first.

Third, I know this will sound kinda bad, but NONE of my fics has EVER been beta-ed! I know, I know, shame on me. No one views the stories before they are posted here for you all to see. The only editor is me and my computadora. Occasionally, I go back and reread something long after I've posted it, and then I feel really bad. But now I'm trying to read over it before I post! So, yah, sorry if you guys find any mistakes hanging around. Tell me, and I'll see if I can fix them. :)

Fourth, I am also proud to say that I am a published author (as in, a BOOK). If you wish to view the published work, both poems can be found on my FictionPress account.

Oh! If some wants to add me on MySpace (why you would, who knows) then click on the Homepage link up there, with all the stuff the FanFiction puts at the top of the profile.

That's it for my Author Space at the moment!

About Me:

Name: '"Cats don't have names...Now, you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names."' -The Cat, Neil Gaiman's Coraline (meow! I'm a kitty-kat! hehe).

Prefered Nickname: Bells

Age: Hmmm...I'm old enough to know that you shouldn't need to know, old enough to lie about my age in a convincing way, old enough to write, old enough to read, old enough to get into PG-13 movies without an adult, old enough to act mature, young enough to act immature, old enough to know that I need to do good in school, young enough to slack off, old enough to understand some of the world, young enough to think the rest is an insane mess, old enough to have my own opinions, and old enough to still not tell you. x)

Description: I am a quiet person, that is, until you get to know me, then I EXPLODE! And I don't mean in a bad way. I find it easier to concentrate on something when there's a bunch of noise around me. I am old enough to know that you don't need to know how old I am or where I live. I am a Latter-Day Saint, or Mormon, and I am not perfect or close to it. I have my beliefs and you have yours, simple as that. I always have a book on me, whether it's from the library or from my own shelf. I don't watch much TV, but I like movies and some video games. I am in high school and I am aiming high for college. I would like to attend Oxford or Harvard or BYU. I wish to write for a living. I'm not too keen on the idea of getting married, but that might change someday. I like to read about romance, but don't much like being involved in it. I'm not really a people person, but only my brother has figured that out so far. I'm not popular but not unpopular either, just kind of there. I don't have much patience for flamers and tend to flame them if they've been cruel to others in reviews. I am my own person and unique in my own weird way. It's something I'm PROUD of.

Favorite Books:
1: Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer: Okay, well, what can I say? AWESOME BOOKS! Gorgeous vampire guy, plain human girl. "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..." -much gushing- NOTE: I am NOT one of those maniacs screaming my head off about how hot Taylor Lautner is (no matter how true that may be)! I did NOT get into the series because of the sexy actors! I actually READ the books before they were a huge fad, way back in 2006. YES, I was one of the girls that was biting her fingernails off in anticipation for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. So I'm proud to say I beat the vampire fad!

2: The Maximum Ride Books by James Patterson: These are great books too! Six flying mutant bird kids (two with a hopelessly obvious attraction to each other) and one mission: save the world! Oh, and try not to die. The spins: they are on the "Must Kill" list of way too many people, they attract way too much attention, and they have too little time. FaXNeSS!!

3: The Looking Glass Wars Trilogy by Frank Beddor: The modern take on Alice in Wonderland. Wonderland is a very real place. Alyss Heart is the heir to its throne. She just has to find a way back to Wonderland, a way to revive her powers after thirteen years, figure out how she feels about Dodge Anders (her childhood friend and protector), and lead those who are loyal to her against the wicked Redd, who has stolen the crown. Throw the cunning King Arch of Boarderland (who is intent on turning the queendom of Wonderland into a kingdom) into the mix with his advanced technologies and secret agendas, and you've got one irresistable story. OMtothefrickinG!! One of the most PERFECT endings I've ever stumbled across!! All loose ends tied, still leaving some room to imagine other things. Not sad at all, but I somehow still managed to cry. :) Fanfics, maybe??

3 1/2: Blessed Child by Bill Bright and Ted Dekker: Caleb is an orphaned boy who was raised in a small monastery in Ethiopia. When the only home he's ever known is in jeopardy, his adoptive father asks Jason to take Caleb to America. Jason agrees but soon learns that Caleb is no ordinary ten-year-old boy. With the nurse Leiah, Jason takes Caleb and they flee the monastery, nearly losing their lives. When they make it to California, Caleb is taken into custody by a greedy priest who soon figures out the Caleb has other-worldly healing powers. While Jason and Leiah fight for Caleb's custody and freedom (and fall in love), the priest uses the boy's powers to gain money and fame. Things get even more twisted when those who attacked the monastery find out that Caleb is alive, and carrying dangerous information, which pushes them to try and take him out. Unaware of the chaos around him, Caleb makes his way through Los Angeles, trying to hold on to his love and innocence while the world argues over his abilities. Fantastic!

4: Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher: One girl's suicide story, after she's commited the act, addressed to the people that pushed her into an early grave and the one that tried to pull her out. Clay Jensen doesn't know why the tapes ended up with him when he tried to help Hannah. Now that she's gone, he doesn't want to have anything to do with her. But Hannah kept lots of secrets. She let things boil up inside. And when the explosion hit, she saw all the little connections between those that ruined her life. And she won't let them forget it. Hannah Baker's bakers' dozen. Great read, but kinda mature material. Depressing.

4 1/2: The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke: The streets of Venice, Italy, hold many secrets, as well as three orphans, two runaways, and one "Thief Lord." But when their hideout is found and the Thief Lord's big secret is no longer secret and the children have lots of money ahead if they perform a robbery, it becomes difficult to remeber the true meaning of family. Totally heart-warming...

5: The Inkworld Books by Cornelia Funke: Resa got read in. Capricorn, Basta, and Dustfinger got read out. Two wanted to terrorize the world. One wanted to return to his world. But, nevertheless, all of them are drawn to one Mo "Silvertongue" Folchart and his gifted daughter, Meggie. This story takes so many twists and turns that retracing steps just isn't an option.

5 1/2: The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling: Okay, so who doesn't know the story of the Boy Who Lived? What?! Well then get with the program! Three young wizards (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) that have to save their world from crumbling down, while being constantly distracted and torn apart AND having the rest of their world frown down on them (the half-blood, the pureblood, and the mudblood). Great from start to finish, so it really sucks that it took me so long to actually pick up the books and read them (no lie, I didn't read them until summer 2008).

6: The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series: AAH! New discovery! I'm a big fan of Greek Mythology, and these books just totally fortified that. Basically, Greek Mythology actually isn't mythology...it all happened. The gods, the Titans, the wars, the monsters...every last bit of it. And it turns out that the gods still exist, and, while the heroes are all dead, the monsters aren't. Percy Jackson (his real name is Perseus, like the guy who first killed Medusa) finds out that he is half-human, half-god. Greek god. And the monsters are all after him, forcing him to seek out the haven of Camp Half-Blood, where other kids like him learn to survive with monsters at every turn. Though he's new to this world, his role in saving it (or destroying it) is much more than he bargained for. With the help of his best friend (cough, cough) Annabeth, daughter of Athena, the satyr Grover, and his Cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy must stay alive, even though he's wanted dead by more than one side of the war... SO FLIPPIN' GREAT!

6 1/2: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card: Set hundreds of years in the future, our planet has been invaded by alien attackers twice. Though great chaos was brought about, the world managed to unite in order to defeat this enemy of superior intelligence. The only problem: Humans won by sheer luck. In order to ensure Earth's safety in the case of a Third Invasion, the International Fleet has taken to training geniuses among small children in the arts of warfare. However, no one can defeat six-year-old Ender. The IF is convinced that only he can forever silence the aliens. Unfortunately, as Ender grows and learns, he becomes weary of war and only longs for peace of mind. He doesn't want to play their games anymore, especially when the government begins to cheat and manipulate him for the wrong reasons. Astounding!

7: The Uglies "Trilogy" by Scott Westerfeld: Sci-fi, we-ruined-the-world kinda thing. Basically, if you're not yet 16, you're an Ugly. On your 16th birthday, you get the most EXTREME plastic/cosmetic surgery to ever grace the planet, and some stuff in your brain that makes you malleable and obedient. Then you're considered a Pretty. If you think your way out of stupidity, you can be a Special and keep the others in line. If you're not popular enough, well then poor you, you're just an Extra. Tally is an Ugly, while her best friend has just turned Pretty, which is her life-long wish. Then she befriends a girl named Shay who doesn't want to turn Pretty. Shay escapes to a place called the Smoke and the authorities convince Tally to follow and turn her in. If she doesn't, she is told that she will never become Pretty...

7 1/2: The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins: One huge stadium, 12 districts, and 24 teenagers, 23 of which are slated for death at the hands of their opponents, while their country watches their every move. The last one standing wins. So when Katniss takes her sister's place in the 74th annual Hunger Games, she doesn't expect to ever return home. After watching her first ally suffer a gruesome death, and unconciously falling in love with her second, she's convinced that she won't leave the stadium alone. Great twist ending and overall enthralling read. Sequel was amazing as well. Waiting in anticipation for the third one!!

8: The Host by Stephenie Meyer: OMtothefrickinG, aliens just took over our planet! But, these aliens were smart and subtle and knocked us off our feet. Their goal is to actually save our world, even if we're not in it anymore. But they aren't perfect, and the humans they miss in their takeover are determined to control the world once more. One problem, okay a couple: Jared is in love with Melanie who is sharing a body with Wanderer, or Wanda, while Ian is in love with Wanda... Can you say "Uh-oh?"

9: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll: The timeless story of the girl who went down the rabbit hole and through the mirror on her mantle. Both times, she found surreal worlds where cats smile, March Hares drink tea, chess pieces come to life, Tweedledum and Tweedledee reside, and mad queens want to behead everyone that crosses them. Enchanting!

10: The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux: "The Phaaaaaantom of the Opera is there..." The book that inspired the musical and movie of the same name. The main characters: opera house singer, Christine, her childhood friend, Raoul, and the Phantom (aka Erik) that takes refuge in the opera house and keeps Christine under his watchful eye. This book is amazing and written as if the author believes every word that he's writing, and he convinced me, too!

The white man said, "Colored people are not allowed here." The black man turned around and stood up. He then said: "Listen sir...when I was born I was BLACK, When I grew up I was BLACK, When I'm sick I'm BLACK, When I go in the sun I'm BLACK, When I'm cold I'm BLACK, When I die I'll be BLACK. But you sir, When you're born you're PINK, When you grow up you're WHITE, When you're sick, you're GREEN, When you go in the sun you turn RED, When you're cold you turn BLUE, And when you die you turn PURPLE. And you have the nerve to call me colored?" The black man then sat back down and the white man walked away...
