Hi, I'm Kel!

First off, I'm a Christian. I must say that in most of my earlier work (DMDW, DMW, etc.) this comes off in a quite bashing-people-over-the-head way. And I'm sorry about that. I shall try to be more graceful in the future as not to turn people away (But you will not see me denying any of it. Just being more subtle, I hope.) The partial exception to this is "The Cure" in which I pretty much meant it. I will say that ALL of my stories were/are written for my own pleasure and only posted so that my friends can read them. If you want to read it, that's your problem. In ANY case, I hope anyone reading my current fiction can tell a marked improvement in not only this regard, but in my writing in general.

Right now, Doctor Who is pretty much the only fandom I write for. I really stopped writing all together and thought I would give it up entirely until I started watching Doctor Who. Now I mostly write Ten/Rose (and 10.5/Rose!) fics. But I want to write some with Donna soon.

The new exception to all this is Fullmetal Alchemist. I read the Manga last summer, and then watched Brotherhood. I've yet to make it through the 03 stuff, but you won't hear me bashing is because I haven't seen it!

I have some (ooooold) stuff for LotR, PotC, Van Helsing, and Harry Potter. I wish I had more ideas for HP, I'd love to write it, but strangely enough, I have NONE. Also, PotC and Van Helsing have ceased to inspire me (It is an arguable point weather or not "The Cure" will ever be completed. Here's to hoping!)

As for my LotR fiction, much/most/all of it has HEAVY reference to the fanfiction series "The Mellon Chronicles" found at www.aragorn-legolas.5u.com I truly do not mean any offense or disrespect to the authoresses by this, I'm sorry. But like I said earlier, I write because I love to write and my plot bunnies wont leave me alone. Most of these references actually sneak in when I'm not looking- I all to often accept MC as cannon or at least fanon if not cannon. I've been considering taking all of my old work off the site, but - annoyingly - people keep randomly reading it and favoriting it. I have honestly no clue why.

Of late, I have begun to write only one-shots, aside from that Master fic I mentioned earlier. This is because in reality, I don't think in long-term plots, I think in small individual scenes. As such, I have a LOT of trouble completing fics that are more then a few chapters long. So I've decided to stick to one shots. Most of these are short, sweet, sappy, and - surprisingly to me - romantic. (I'm very VERY new to this genre, as I said, it surprises ME that I've been writing it, as I do not read romance much AT ALL.) However, when I DO write a chapter-fic, it's normally extremely angsty and filled with torture. I know that's quite a contrast, but it's the truth.

As far as pairings go, the only couples I've ever written for are Elrond/Celebrian, Aragorn/Arwen, Will/Elizabeth, Harry/Ginny (and I LOVE Ron/Hermione, but I haven't written anything for them yet), Doctor/Rose (mostly TenToo/Rose), and Roy/Riza. Another note: I won't ever write slash. So if I use the word "love" between two male characters, I mean a brotherly love, and that's it.

Her Name is Elizabeth

This story is just me having some fun with my ideas about how Riza feels about being "Elizabeth" to the girls at Chris' bar, and how she met Chris for the first time. I'm not sure I like it very much, as I'm more inclined to think that the name "Elizabeth" came from Roy and Riza's childhood, and may have been her mother's name. But I couldn't resist writing this little two-shot. I may replace it someday with a young Royai fic about the name.

This is Gonna Sting

As the description says, this is a little "off camera" shot that occurs during chapter 38-39/episode 19 of FMA Manga/Brotherhood. It's the story of what happened in between the time when Lust "killed" Mustang and Mustang killed Lust.

Unforgivable Sin

Also entitled "It's Alright". A Doctor-wake-up-from-a-nightmare fic in which I endeavor to explore the Time War, and also the idea of forgiveness. This fic may prompt me to write more about the Time War, as I was planning for a while a fic called "The Moment" that would actually star the 8th Doctor as he meets his end. - This is my favorite story I've ever written.

Whatever Happens

Formerly entitled "Nerves". A short, 4-chapter Doctor Who fic. Mid-series-2, Doctor/Rose (duh!). This is by far the most episode-like story I have written thus far. (even more than Gone Awry). Angst, hurt/comfort, action, even a bit of a thriller (not quite a horror). Less angst-y that TYtMHB, but much more than most of my other DW stuff. MUCH more action-y than all of them. - This is my other favorite story I've ever written.

The Year that Might Have Been

My first real Doctor Who chapter fic. Basically one big excuse for an EXTREME amount of Doctor whumpage and blatant torture. Loads of angst. NON-slash Dovtor-VS-Master. A bit of an AU "What-if" fic based on The Sound of Drums and the Last of the Time Lords. It started with the idea "What if the Master had not used the Lazarus technology age the Doctor and used other methods to weaken him?" Because a friend of mine didn't like Old!Doctor. The story is 27 chapters and around 50,000 words long.

Perfect

Probably should have been posted as the next chapter to "Not Domestic" but it was waaaaaaay too long. But I couldn't bring myself to chop it up into chapters either. Anyway, I wasn't happy that the Girl in the Fireplace got to see inside the Doctor's mind and Rose Tyler didn't. I thought it would be very proper for it to happen once they were married, for them to really know each other in an extremely intimate way. T is for kissing (and for my own sappiness in writing this), but nothing more.

Allons-y!

Did you know that ff.net won't take story titles with hyphens in them? Well, it won't... anyway, when I had this idea I was going to post it as the 5th chapter of Not Domestic, but when I finished it, I realized that although it was a 10.5/Rose fic, I could not bring myself to post it under any other description than one with the TARDIS listed as a main character. This is the story of 10.5's first encounter with his new TARDIS. And yes, I completely made up with a new-born TARDIS would be like - I looked for some cannon description and could find none. And yes, I realized that I posted a story that occurs on Christmas Eve on the 4th of July. Merry Christmas in July, y'all. I'll try to save a few X-mas fics for the actual holidays.

Just Sleep

Which is basically me being happy with the beautiful love that the Doctor and Rose share in a more platonic than romantic way. More 10-Rose than 10/Rose, if that makes sense.

Gone Awry

Basically my excuse for Doctor whumpage. I LOVE the Tenth doctor Duplicate/half-human Doctor - or as I call him, 10.5. And I wanted to play around with the differences and similarities he bears to his time-Lord self, and also with his relation to Rose and their adventures in their new TARDIS. Creating alien races is also pretty fun. I'm actually REALLY happy with this story, and I wish more people would read it :(

Not Domestic

My ongoing series of non-chronological, semi-related one-shots about 10.5 ("John Noble Smith") and Rose Tyler's lives. Contains 6 stories at the moment:

"Tyler-Smith" (once again, that hyphens thing!): The Doctor is terrible at weddings. Especially his own. But for Rose, he'll try to make this one count.

"Happily Ever After" On Bad Wolf Bay right after the Tenth Doctor and TARDIS leave Rose and 10.5 behind, the pair discuss the Time Lord's actions and what their new lives mean.

"A Striking Resemblance" The Doctor is a huge Harry Potter fan, but he never really noticed Barty Crouch Jr.'s face before before - until now!

"Bananas and Pears" The half-human Doc. needs to test out his new taste buds FOR SCIENCE! And Rose tries to help.

"Not Only in My Dreams" The Doctor comforts Rose during the Christmas season. Married couple fluff!!

"Just a Dream" The Doctor is having nightmares that are all too real, luckily Rose is there to comfort him.

"Blessed and Beloved" The Doctor hates hospitals, but on occasion they could be a blessing. This was one of those times. This was the moment that would change his life forever.

"The Warmth of Winter" - Just a small fic I wrote on Christmas Eve. The Doctor has more of a family than he ever dreamed of. And it's wonderful. FLUFF!

"Teenage Dream" - This is a bit of an odd fic, inspired when I heard Boyce Avenue's version of a certain Katy Perry song. I'm not really a fan of the original song, but the "guy's version" I really like, and the image of the Doctor singing was too much to pass up.

My first Harry Potter fic! Very outside my normal genre. Full of what I am calling "married couple fluff". Just a scene I had an idea for one night and decided to jot down. Pretty much wrote itself. Hope you like it!

The Cure

My first fic from the world of Van Helsing, complete with vampires and werewolves - My sister challenged me to make an alternate ending, because we thought it was weird that a werewolf bite killed Anna instead of making her a lycan. It inspired a huge fic that's the most original work I've ever done. as the A/N says, I've 8 chaps written and I'm not done yet, so be patient please!

Remember When:

This is the saddest plot bunny ever to have bitten me. I was on YouTube and I found this song. Originally I was going to make a Aragorn and Arwen video to it, but then I thought of this, and I almost cried. One of my biggest goals with this story is to make SOMEONE cry.

A young-Estel one-shot that I've wanted to do for a long time. About the more musical side of the inhabitance of Rivendell. The title will explain itself when you read the story.

Christmas for a King:

Just a short, happy fic about Yule time in Gondor- a few years after RotK, when Eldarion is a young boy. This story, if you cant tell by reading it, had heavy- if not stolen- inspiration from both the true Christmas story(as in the Bible's account) AND the song "The Christmas Shoes" by Newsong ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNsvE33pRSw )

Here's to Many More

A short Christmas fic about Aragorn. I may add more chapters, so I left it "in progress". This is actually a second draft of the tale. The first time I tried writing it, the plot was VERY different (even though what I posted was my original plan, the first time, the story took over and wrote itself.) if you'd like to read my - VERY short - first try and this, PM me. I really loved both versions. I might eventually have to post the first try, I love it so much.

A/N: yes, I know, they mightn't have called it Christmas, but I dont really care. :P

Defection:

My first Legolas and Aragorn angsty fic on ff.net!- THIS is the kind of thing I write. This is a short story about a trip gone wrong. It does contain heavy reference to Cassia and Siobhan's "Traitor" and possibly other stories, but I hope you enjoy it.

This fic was nominated for the 2008 Best post-RotK fic in the MC awards!! YAY!!

NOTE: I have decided to finish posting all of DMW, just to finish up some old buisness. As the A/N says, I still do not encourage anyone to actually read it. If you got a notification about it and you're wishing I'd just continue DW stuff, you're in luck - that's exactly what I'm doing! Dead Men Don't Walk (DMDW):

A LotR and PotC crossover, when Legolas and Aragorn find themselves once again the strange world of pirates and sea monsters. This fic is during the course of DMC, PLEASE read disclaimers before reading.

Dead Men Walking (DMW):

Squeal to DMDW. This covers the course of AWE, and beyond. It is of much better quality than it's prequel, if I do say so myself. As a note- please bear with me through the starting. I PROMISE there will be more original content nearing the end. Just bear with me. Also, DMW may have slower updates on it's prequel, as I have not finished writing it yet, but I promise I will!

I once started work on a fic or two featuring (movie verse) Wolverine. Both take place between X-Men 2 and 3 but neither are close to being finished or posted.

An "Alternate Ending" to RotK when Aragorn makes a dreadful deal with the Mouth of Sauron to save his friends- FINISHED STORY! needs a title and some(a lot of) editing - and will possibly be left to be forgotten, as it's much closed to "Dead Men Walking" in content than any other story posted on here.

An "epiloge" to DMDW and DMW that got stretched into a full blown fic. (Purely PotC, NON-crossover, post AWE, Willabeth)

Several other oneshots- little Estel, Post RotK, and others.

I also have a few fictions working with different fandoms, but they are being very frustrating and may never be finished: these fandoms include The Chronicles of Prydain, the musical "Wicked", and some NON-fanfiction: historical fiction.

I also have at least one lotr story that will NOT be posted on ff.net, as I find it crossing the line of respect for MC. The ONLY reason I wrote it was because my nazgul plot bunny/dragon/fellbeast would not leave me alone. It was a dream that I had one night, and, as always, I wrote it for my own pleasure. It is an insert scene in the story "Between Darkness and Dawn"- and insert scenes are against the rules. IF you would REALLY like to read this, PM me, but I DO want to keep my respect from Cassia and Siobhan's brilliant work if I can. Also, as a note on this story: It has a LOT of pain and angst involved in it, and floats somewhere between PG-13 and R. - this is also very old and pretty much forgotten.
