My Writing MOTO:
Some words of encouragement from author David Sedaris & writer Les Edgerton: "Your goal as a writer isn't for you to be something to everybody. You need to use your own distinctive voice and personality. Don't listen to those that tell you to change for them and stick to your own distinct voice and writing style; perfect what you enjoy and it will show. Chances are 17 out of 20 will love you, 2 can't stand you and 1 will find you boring". I write for the 17.
AiP loves you guys back!
On a personal note I just uploaded my 300thh story on this site, the honor goes to my current fave fandom Chicago Fire. Happy to be sharing this personal milestone with you all and am hoping for another 300 and beyond. THANK YOU ALL!

Hope you all enjoy my stories. If you do read something of mine, please don't forget to REVIEW. I always return reviews, even if it's just to say thanks! Hey you took the time to read and told me what you thought, and I'll do the same! That is the best way to show appreciation for the hard work the writer puts into the stories. Plus reviews encourage more stories and faster writing. And if you want to FLAME, what is the point? I'll just use those flames to toast some marshmallows in your name and thank you for reading. Asking for reviews is always something a writer who's not vain will ask, b/c none of us assume our work is that good that it should be reviewed, but please don't hold the story for ransom in return for reviews. How will you know people wanted to review?

MY WRITING STYLE:
Writing is my favorite hobby and passion and I have been writing for a few decades now (Yeah I won't tell my age!) My true writing voice is situational peril (tense danger) and emotional or mental angst. That is what I think I write best so most of my stories (unless stated) will have a strong element of relationship (mostly m/m friendship) angst, nail biting action and lots of danger and peril. Please don't ask me to change my style or my voice; a writer's voice is what it is; please respect that. There are a lot of great writers on this site, I am just trying to keep up!
I love action, angst, relationships based on conflict and drama oh and I will throw in some romance for good measure, no death fics for main characters, too much of that in my personal life, it's not entertaining when a fave character dies!
I like to get into both sexes heads; to explore both thoughts, fears, feelings, emotions, etc etc. I get tired of reading stories where women are the victims (HATE rape stories b/c 9 out of 10 authors write for the sheer vulgarity of it and that's just stupid and not entertaining). Not a fan of DID stories (damsel in distress *yawn*). I don't write "rescue the girl" fics BUT I LOVE TO WRITE "rescue the boy" fics. And my stance on female OC's is this...I don't like or read them BUT if she's a very well rounded, multi-dimensional character who is preferably the baddie you got my attention, but if you are writing a mary-sueish female OC based on yourself opposite the handsome male lead, outing your fantasy about being in trouble and being rescued by him - please move on. That is beyond lame and I have yet to find more than say a handful of female OC's over the past 10 years on this site that I would even read twice. So usually have my main men as the main focus of the trouble (with very multi-dimensional male baddies hehe). Please don't ask me to change this b/c I WON'T. My fave thing to write is male/male (NO slash) friendship/partners action/danger/suspense/angst/peril/whump/hurt/comfort stories.
I am never too old to learn or too think I am too smart to accept advice, counsel and corrective suggestions. WHAT YOU CANNOT DO or expect me to even listen to is those that ask me to change my writing style; ask me to include more profanity (swearing is cheap); ask me to enjoy the rape, torture, cruelty or domestic abuse of a female character as entertainment. I also don't write slash! And if you poach or plagiarise (as was said so eloquently by a fellow author) we know the ideas aren't yours and you are just a common thief! And if you are expecting perfection, please don't. I like my stories the way they are. I am fluent English and don't care if an I is not dotted. Otherwise please just enjoy my humble ramblings as what they are meant to be - a simple work of entertainment at best!
So thank you for visiting and please enjoy my stories! AiP
