Author has written 2 stories for Misc. Books, and Girl who Leapt Through Time. Artwork: http://fuyusarah.deviantart.com Frustrated artist. Writing: Although I've been an avid reviewer on FFnet since 2001, I only started actually writing fanfiction in June 2007. Most of my works are original pieces, up in Fictionpress.com. You can view my profile here. Genres: romance, action/adventure, comedy, and drama. Languages: My native tongue is Filipino, but I write in English. During the early stages of my writing "career", I liked inserting Japanese words into the text. I've tried to get out of the habit when I realized that my readers don't necessarily know Japanese even if they like manga and anime. Now I restrict my use of Japanese to terms that have no direct English translations (like certain festivals, parts of the house, pieces of clothing, etc.) The names stay Japanese, of course. Influences: A number of people have asked where I get my ideas from. I think my answer's pretty typical. I get it from my life, mostly. All of my stories have at least one scene or line of dialogue from my life. My second influence is manga and anime. I'd like to say that I've never copied anything off the screen, but they greatly influenced my storymaking process, especially in the early stages of my writing "career". Third would be other writers, professional and amateur. You can read who they are here. Manga and Anime: A lot of people are asking what manga and anime I've read and watched. But since they're sooooooooooo many I don't think I can list them all down here. My top manga: Hanazakiri no Kimitachi e, Hagaren no Renkenjutsushi, Nodame Cantabile, Koukou Debut, and Lovely Complex. And Special A. My top anime: Tenkuu no Escaflowne, Nodame Cantabile, Ouran Koukou Host Club, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, and Gundam W. My top anime films: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away You can view my MyAnimeList profile to see my complete list. Stories: Nathaniel and the Orphan: I've always loved Meg Cabot's Nicola and the Viscount. This story retells the book, but in the point of view of Nathaniel Sheridan. Summer Sky: A one-shot for Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time). The ending was just so beautifully bittersweet, I just HAD to write something. If you haven't watched the movie, go and watch it. NOW. Jacob and the Heiress: Following the Nathaniel and the Orphan tradition, this story retells Meg Cabot's Victoria and the Rogue as experienced by Jacob Carstairs. | |||||||||||
