Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Grey's Anatomy.

Hi Everyone! Here are some things about myself, if you want to know, which I suppose you do, as you have clicked on the link to my profile.

I know my profile is on the longish side, I know most of you aren't going to bother reading all of it. But ah well.

My name is Nirali. I am absolutely in love with Harry Potter. My friends have christened me the bookworm, because I read whenever I can and wherever I can. I also like to say the word blah a lot. I'm a hopeless romantic, although it may not seem like that when you meet me. I am Indian American. Not Native American though. I mean my parents are from India. AND INDIA IS IN ASIA! I AM AN ASIAN! Most people think that Asians are only people from the Orient, which I am not. I'm ranting aren't I? RANT TERMINATED. I do that a lot. (there are more rants at the bottom)

My mother's maiden name? Shah. I have one sister. I have, uh, no nieces. No nephews. I like ice cream sandwiches. Cold Diet Coke with Lime. Occasionally a good Hershey bar. I like to play my keyboard. And I cheat when I play cards. And I always dance, but not usually in public. Um... Favorite novel: The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls. Favorite Band: Snow Patrol. Favorite color is purple. I don't like light purple, royal purple. This scar right here on my arm? I still have no idea how I got it. All of my computer is mine. And I live...in my house. That's it. That's all you've earned for now. The rest you're just going to have to take on faith. :) (BTW: I don't own this, it was from that one episode of season one of Grey's where Derek tells Meredith a lot about himself, but leaves out the fact that he had a wife.)

My favorite random words are: Fierce(!), Ni! (Monty), Eh, Random, broody (OTH!), weird, quite, rather, unique, seriously!! (Grey's), fine (Grey's)

My Stories:

Complete:

Eyes-The Death of Severus Snape: exactly what the title says. I absolutely am in love with the depth of Sev's character, and how much we learn about him throughout the 7 books, and I just had to give closure on the Lily/James/Severus love triangle. (a oneshot)

Never Knowing: My first Grey's fic! I absolutely love the little girl of Grey's Anatomy: the silent little girl of the ferry arc. Its about how her "dose of Meredith" affected her. (a oneshot)

Incomplete:

Reflections: This has to do with the Grey's recent season finale. It's basically a reflection in every character's view about Izzie and George dying. As a challenge to myself, I made it in second person.

The First War: Marauder Era Drabbles: Play a song, write only while its going on, and don't edit a thing after that. A challenge from me and to me. It's all about the Marauders and the first war, basically. Is serious, unlike the word drabble, and has a lot of Severus angst. Mainly Severus and Lily, with a little bit of James and Sirius in the mix. (multichapter)

In the Process of being Written:

Brotherhood: A reflection piece, because I always do them, about the Marauders and their downfall.

The Fifth Marauder: It's going to be a multichapter and series fic about how Lily was a fifth Marauder, basically. I've been working on it for 2 months now so hopefully it will be up soon!

My Favorites:

Favorite Fanfics to read: Harry Potter, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill, and High School Musical

Favorite Pairings: I basically like anything that's good, but here are a few of my favorites:

Harry Potter:

All canons plus Hermione/Draco, Ginny/Draco, Ginny/Blaise, and many, many more...

Grey's Anatomy:

Merder (obviously), Alex+Izzie, Owen+Christina, Addison+Mark, George+Callie (I still think they were awesome together in a quirky way), Occasionally MerMark, Addex, and Slexie.

High School Musical:

Troyella, Chaylor, and Relsi (Ryelsi)

One Tree Hill:

Naley, Brucas, and Jeyton

Favorite movies: Harry Potter series, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Monty Python and the Holy Grail (NI!), Hairspray, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the Golden Compass, John Tucker Must Die, The Notebook, Becoming Jane, Legally Blonde, Johnny English (So Funny!), Dream Girls, Mean Girls, Step Up(!), Honey, 27 Dresses, the National Treasure movies, Paper Clips, et cetera, et cetera.

Favorite Musicals (The Broadway Shows and movies) (AKA, the only ones I've seen) : Legally Blonde (Broadway), Beauty and the Beast (Saw it 3 times)(Broadway), Lion King (2 times)(Broadway), Bombay Dreams(Broadway), High School Musical 1,2&3 (movies), Mamma Mia (Broadway and movie), The Radio City Christmas Spectacular (If that counts), Grease 1&2 (who doesn't?), Monty Python's Spamalot (Broadway)(It was amazing! and with Clay Aiken. It's closed on Jan 11, so it sucks if u haven't seen it), Wicked (Broadway), Sweeney Todd

Favorite Books(Ahh, the list can go on forever): Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, Children of the Lamp series by PB Kerr, Chronicles of the Moon series by Allan Jones, Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis, Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes by Chris Crutcher, Stotan by Chris Crutcher, Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes, The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, Deadline by Chris Crutcher, My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, Les Miserables, The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen, Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls (absolutely amazing book.)

Favorite TV Shows: Project Runway, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy

Quotes I love:

Harry Potter:

Hermione drew herself to her full height; her eyes were narrowed and her hair seemed to crackle with electricity.
"No," she said, her voice quivering with anger, "but I will write to your mother."

"Just because it's taken you three years to notice, Ron, doesn't mean no one else has spotted I'm a girl!" (as said by Hermione Jane Granger)

"The fates have informed me that your examination in June will concern the Orb, and I am anxious to give you sufficient practice." Hermione snorted. "Well honestly... 'the fates have informed her'... Who sets the exam? She does!"

Mine:

When there's more drama, there's more chapters. And when there's no drama, there's no getting ahead in life. We need drama!

Others:

"But when a story demands to be written, there's no way to resist." -Stephenie Meyer

How to tell if you're a (good) writer...

1. If you constantly talk to yourself.

2. If you talk to yourself about talking to yourself (i.e. I wonder why I talk to myself so much?)

3. If, when you talk to yourself, you sometimes speak as if talking to another person (i.e. Okay, so have you ever noticed that the word deliver could mean removing someones liver?)

4. If, after uttering a profound piece of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand in awe and say, Wow, this is good stuff for sugar highs!

5. If you live off of sugar and caffeine.

6. If people start to notice that you tend to check your e-mail every day for a week, then suddenly disappear off the face of the planet.

7. If you know what writer's block is.

8. If your e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random, or full of critisism.

9. If, when replying to someone elses e-mail, you are sometimes so random that you fail to address the original message altogether.

10. If you tend to collect the Bic Stics people leave lying around, kind of like picking pennies off the ground.

11. If, no matter where you are in your room, you never have to so much as get up to reach a pen/pencil and paper.

12. If the letters are starting to wear off on the keys of your keyboard.

13. If you memorized your keyboard.

14. If people think you might have A.D.D.

15. If you think itd be cool to have A.D.D.

16. If you have a grudge against Mary-sue's...even though you wrote a story with one in the past.

17. If you know what a Mary-sue is.

18. If you think about making lists like this, and start giggling for no apparent reason.

19. If your friends dont even bother to look funny at you anymore when you start giggling for no apparent reason.

20. If you go crazy over simple spelling/ grammar errors.

21. If you don't like critisism, although you are a critic yourself.

22. If you tend to dream about your stories at night.

23. If you write stories based on your dreams.

24. If you can recite the alphabet backwards.

25. If you start constantly talking in third person, past tense.

26. If you can type/ write fast. REALLY fast.

27. If you write 1000-word rough drafts for your story, then erase it and write something totally different for the final.

28. If you know basic writer terms (ex: beta-, canon, lemon...etc.)

29. If you know what 'etc' really means, and know the elongated written version of it...

30. And finally, the number one way to tell if youre a good writer: If you failed English 101.

... Or maybe that's just me

(I passed English, but its because my teacher was lazy and gave everyone who handed stuff in on time an A+)

REMEMBER WHEN ..
getting HiGH meant swinging at a playground?
the worst thing you could get from a boy was c0otiEs?
when )m 0 m( was your hero
and 'D a D' was the boy you were gonna marry?
when your W0RST ENEMiES were your siblings
and rAcE iSsuEs were about who ran fastest?
when - WAR- was a card game
and life was simple and care free?
remember when all you wanted to do
WAS GROW UP?

Put This In Your Profile If You're Still 5 Inside...No Matter How Old You Are Now

Girls
are like
apples on trees.
The best ones are
at the top of the tree. The
boys don't want to reach
for the good ones because they
are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
from the ground that aren't as good,
but easy. So the apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in
reality, they're amazing. They just
have to wait for the right boy to
come along, the one who's
brave enough to
climb all
the way
to the top
of the tree

Rants and Rambles and other random things starting with R

Neville

Neville is the REAL hero of the many adventures of Harry Potter. HE was the one who led the DA in Harry's absence. HE was the one who was the underdog, and turned into a hero. HE was the one to stand up to the professors in the Deathly Hallows. HE was the one who didn't abandon anyone, yet helped save the Wizarding World from Voldemort. HE was the one who killed Nagini, not Harry. Neville is the REAL hero of this epic. Who does Harry think he is anyways? HE thinks that just because he vanquished Voldything he should get everything. He got the girl, he got the fame, he got the money (which he had from the start anyways), he got the respect, he got everything he ever wanted. Meanwhile, Neville Longbottom doesn't get ANYTHING that he deserves. HE deserves it all. The fame, the money, the respect, the girl, but all he got was a teaching post at Hogwarts. I Sirius-Orion-Black-ly (Seriously) do not think that this is enough for the real hero. And like Harry said, half of what he did was a ton of luck anyways. I also think that half of the DA, before Neville was the leader, was only there to get the real story about the famous Harry Potter. RANT TERMINATED

Jacob
(note: inappropriate things and Grey's Anatomy mentioned)

I do not understand why so many people hate Jacob. He was the ONLY one there when Bella needed friendship and support! HE got her out of her zombie faze in New Moon when EDWARD LEFT HER! He even supported her when Edward came back, EVEN THOUGH Edward and Jacob are mortal enemies! If you can't call that friendship, I don't know what friendship is. And so he acted on impulse and kissed Bella. At least he finally showed his true feelings towards her! And seriously, in Grey's Anatomy, did you feel bad for Meredith or George when George had sex with Meredith in season two? I felt bad for both, but MAINLY George! It's the same exact thing here, except played down a notch! So he kissed her. It wasn't something terrible like rape! And about the imprinting, JACOB COULD NOT HELP IT! STOP BEING MAD AT HIM FOR IT! Seriously, he stopped going for Bells, which everyone was happy about, but then surprise! Jacob imprints on Renesmee! I agree that it's slightly sick, but Jake could not help it and he loves Nessie with all his heart. So don't diss him, because that is just plain wrong of you to hate Bella Swan/Cullen's best friend but love her and her precious husband (even though I love Edward). RANT TERMINATED

Wicked
(not quite a rant/ramble, but a tribute to Gregory Maguire, who is an inspiration to all fanfitioners)

I have recently realized that Gregory Maguire is technically a fanfictioner. And Wicked was his fanfic. Can you believe that a fanfic, even one as amazing as Wicked, has gotten rights, has gotten published, has become a bestseller, and has become a super-hit musical? This just proves to all of us fanfictioners that this is more than just a website. It is the root of what our stories can become. Although Gregory Maguire never posted on fanfiction (that I know of), he wrote a fanfiction that has been loved and cherished just as much, possibly even more, as the original story by Lyman Frank Baum, The Wizard of Oz. I find this amazing and inspiring. Fanfictioners should take this story and use it to feul our own imagination like we already do. Who knows? Maybe one of us will have one of our fanfictions turned into a bestselling book, a number one Broadway musical, and a beloved fanfic for everyone. RANT TERMINATED

Normal

(A theory by me)

What is normal? Define it for me please, because I can not seem to grasp the concept of it. Everyone is different, they have different opinions, they look different, they even smell different. So why do people have a tendency to call me weird? It's true, because nobody, in fact, is completely normal, but why use the word weird as a derogatory term? If I'm weird, then you're weird. Because nobody is truly normal. Nobody is the same person, and nobody thinks the exact same thoughts as someone else, not even twins. And twins are not normal either, because it is still uncommon to have twins. But then is it normal to have one kid? People were murdered because they were considered abnormal, take the Holocaust as an example. Only people that belonged to the so-called Aryan race weren't brutally killed in concentration camps. If normalcy means taking away everyone that's not you, then there is no such thing as normal, bringing me back to my original point. RANT TERMINATED
