Only the noise of huge hydraulics from above. The Doctor looking up, trapped, helpless.

Then, quiet, intimate, across the distance:

ROSE

You never did finish that sentence.

THE DOCTOR

What sentence...?

ROSE

(smiles)

Like you don't know. Last time I saw you. On Bad Wolf Bay. You said 'Rose Tyler...'

THE DOCTOR

...isn't it cold?

ROSE

Come on. Properly.

THE DOCTOR

Does it need saying?

ROSE

Yeah.

Pause; sad smile between them.

Then, just as quiet:

DAVROS

Such intimacy. So different from the Doctor I once knew.

A lost scene from an original draft of 'Journey's End,' taken from 'The Writer's Tale' by Russell T. Davies.

-You see? Yeah, it needed saying! Rose said so!

Hello,

I'm Dolly Belleol'whatserface. Dolly Belle's easier. I nicked it from Captain Jack Sparrow...actually, borrowed would be more accurate. Borrowed without the intent of ever returning it. I live in England. Northern England. Chips n' gravy, cold weather and all that lark. I once spent twenty minutes trying to explain to someone what a stottie was...the really alarming thing is that I still don't think they get it and probably still remain under the impression that it's something you serve ice-cream on. On the plus side, I don't need a translator and subtitles when Cheryl Cole opens her gob.

Anyway. I'm at that lovely age where people think it's a right hoot to point at you during slightly tipsy renditions of Dancing Queen, and where I feel like piercing my own eardrums with a pen whenever a teacher brings up the subject of UCAS. ie. 17. So, I'm doing my A-levels at the mo'. Coursework. Revision. Joy of joys. It means I'm really awful at updating though-honestly, truly, absolutely ridiculously pants at it, so I'll apologise now.

The first thing I was completely and utterly obsessed with, was Harry Potter, but alas the past 18 months have been as quiet as an Umbridge popularity rally and so my heart, and a good quarter of my head lies with the 904 year old Time Lord from Gallifrey that is the Doctor. And his Children of Time.

I tend to write Doctor/Rose. I can't write Doctor/anyone else. My fingers would fall off and my eyeballs would pop and squirt everywhere. And that would make a bit of a mess, wouldn't it? And according to my mam, my desk's messy enough. Really? Three empty cups of tea, seven notebooks, Don Juan, Parce que je t'aime, Les Mandarins, Dear Fatty and the Gavin and Stacey box set and four folders of school work is messy? Please. Anyway, you get my point. Blunt as an unsharpened pencil, me. Sometimes. Doctor/Martha...no, no, no. Why don't I like Martha? Well, because of the whole 'He's not seeing me...he's just remembering' and 'Good old Rose' thing and being jealous of her after ooh, all of three days? I just didn't like her 'desperate-for-his-attention-and-craving-his-affection thing. Just...where did it come from? Very inconsistent. Sniffy, 'You have to earn that title' rubbish to flirting with him on a bed? Where did it all come from? And she's not a very convincing doctor either. Honestly. Oi, writers! Why did you make Martha naff? Where was the instant likeability? Hmm? Oh it was there, was it? Down the back of the settee? Hang about, while you're checking, see if the real 'The Next Doctor' draft is done there, too, will you? 'Cause what you gave us at Christmas was drivel. And I very nearly threw my selection box at the Christmas Tree. Which wasn't even spinning.

Now, where was I? Oh yes. Martha. Good with Owen; ok-ish with Jack, apart from when she kissed him, dear goodness woman, you had me cringing in my seat! And well...yes. She was better in Series 4.'Cause she's engaged and because she looked genuinely moved that the Doctor had found Rose...and 'cause she and Rose hugged-who would have thought it? So...the short and short of it. Martha's not my favourite. But she'll do.

Now Doctor/Donna. Romantically? Nah. I urge anyone who honestly believes in that to check to make sure you haven't inhaled copious quantities of paint in the last...well, year. But hey-whatever floats your TARDIS. Oh...that was an awful wise-crack. Apologies. Cependant, however, Donna is perhaps my favourite companion. Perhaps. You've got to write and love Rose because...well...you have. Her whole love story with the Doctor. But then...Donna. Oh, she's just Donna! Best temp in Chiswick! "Maybe not the stuff of legends but every bit as important as Time Lords, thank you!" Gallifrey will come back when I make my mind up about who my favourite companion is between Rose and Donna. Square peg, round hole. I do love writing Donna, though. Too much. I have a lot of one-shots with Donna and the Doctor. I might actually finish and upload them before I turn...eighty.

9/Rose...well he's the same man innee? And he's from the North. And he told Rose she was beautiful. And he kissed her on the head. And held her face a lot. Now do you do that, Mr. Suit n' Converse 10th Doctor? No...you don't! But I do prefer reading/writing 10/Rose. Just 'cause. And -leans forward after looking around, furtively-I'm one of...those. I read and love 10.5/Rose. Yes indeed! Ha! Though not the fics where they jump into bed with each other sooner than you can say meta-crisis. Shudders. Oh no. In The Writer's Tale, Uncle Rusty said...'Remember, because he's part-human he can be more overtly sexual than the original.' But that does not mean that he suddenly becomes Casa'bloomin Nova! Well...it does if you shove Casanova in your DVD player after watching 'Journey's End', I suppose...

Oh. And one more thing that I have to make quite clear and certain and...all that. I amble along pointedly ignoring Madame de Pompadour and River Song. They're both brilliant women but...it's like the Doctor and Jack at the end of Series 3. He's a Time Lord and Jack's a fact-a fixed point and it feels innately wrong. Same thing.

Owh! A non-Doctor Who bit...

Favourite TV Shows(other than Doctor Who and Torchwood): Ashes to Ashes, Life on Mars, Robin Hood, Gavin and Stacey, Silent Witness and Lark Rise to Candleford.

Favourite Books: Harry Potter and Twilight Series', The Sally Lockhart Mysteries. Anything by Jane Austen. Same with Sarah Dessen. Annnd 'A Long Way Down' by Nick Hornby and 'The Remains of the Day' by Kazuo Ishiguru.

C'est tout.

Currently working on:

My big stories are Sherbet Fountain, Call him Johnny, Miss Cooper and London Girls and I intend to finish all of them, but I've made Sherbet Fountain my main priority. Three chapters left!

Then there's the impossible number of one-shots, too. At some point during the next few months I'll be uploading a DoctorDonnaFriends fic about the Royal Wedding; another where the Doctor and Donna meet a cyborg who looks like Rose; a Mamma Mia tinged fic with Donna, Rose and Martha; 10.2/Rose going to the 2012 Olympics again;a long-shot where the Doctor and Rose go to Keisha's niece's Christening; a sequel to Toffee Apples on Bonfire Night; a one-shot with 10.2/Rose the night they get back from Bad Wolf Bay; a one-shot with the Doctor contemplating his coming regeneration after The Next Doctor; a one-shot with a far future(12th/13th) Doctor somehow meeting 10.2 and Rose and a ridiculously huge fic with Donna and the ninth Doctor.

The Doctor Who Survey

Who is your favourite Doctor? David Tennant. The Converse-clad, crumpled pinstripe suited, squeaky-voiced-when-incredulous-or-indignant, banana and ballbearing obsessed man with the greatest hair in the universe has given millions ridiculously high expectations of...men. And life in general.

What is your favourite episode? The Unicorn and the Wasp

Who is your favourite companion? Rose. No. Donna. Donna because she was incredible as a companion, and can you really call Rose a companion, really? Rose and the Doctor were more of a couple. And the Doctor and Donna had the most endearing platonic relationship ever. She made mistakes. Like talking into the Ood's translation...thingy. I'm like that. I got my audition form from RWCMD and stared at it in numb panic and confusion for about ten minutes going 'It's all in Welsh!" Like Smithy from Gavin and Stacey...before I turned it over and realised it was er...in English, too.

Who/what is your favourite villain/monster?Daleks are spacedustbins with sink plungers and whisks. Like kitchen assistants, really. Cybermen...nah. The Master though...scary. Completely insane and terrifying because for the first time you had to face the fact that here was a man who could actually beat the Doctor.

Who do you ship? Doctor/Rose. Specifically 10/Rose or 10.2/Rose. Nothing against 9, but I enjoy reading and writing 10 more. Though I'm writing a (non-romantic) fic with 9 and Donna.

Chris or David? David

Rose or Martha? Rose!! I don't hate her, but I find it so hard to like Martha.

Rose or Donna? Erm. I can't. The universe would implode. Both.

Donna or Martha? Donna!

Daleks or Cybermen? Daleks.

River or Reinette? Ohh. Show me a Doctor/Rose fan who likes either of them! I mean River's probably very nice and brilliant and lovely and all that jazz. Reinette, too. But you know that episode of Friends where Ross makes that list about Rachel and Julie and their bad points, and on Julie's he puts 'She's not Rachel'? It's like that...they're ok...but they're not Rose, and lots of us aren't quite ready to let go of the Doctor/Rose thing yet. Or ever.

Who's the hottest Who celebrity? David Tennant. Actually no...Davros. Ohh yes, it's all very well and good women fawning over him but I bet he was quaking in his Converse the day Davros sqeaky-wheeled himself onto the set. What is it about him that makes him so irresistable? The dental work perhaps? Teeth of a rotten corpse? Or is it the daft blue eye-stalk? Or the...weathered, wrinkled skin that makes him ressemble the Tollund Man? Sarcasm...sarcasm.

What's your fave piece of Who merchandise? The TARDIS money box! The doors open and it makes noises and everything...it's good fun. For a hermit.

How would you improve the show? Change the ending of the Doctor/Rose story arc, but I won't go into detail because I'm writing a fic about it. Bring Donna back...re-write Martha.

Who's your favourite member of Torchwood? Gwen. Ianto's got the lines, Jack's got the...well, everything but I do like Gwen.

What's your favourite episode? Something Borrowed. Or Exit Wounds.

Jack/Ianto or Jack/Gwen? Jack/Gwen

Who is your favourite Doctor from the Classic series? Tom Baker

Who is your favourite companion from the Classic series? Sarah-Jane Smith. I know, I know...very unoriginal

Which Classic series character would you love to guest-star in the current series? Romana!! Start a riot, she would...

Who would you like to be the next Doctor? Chiwetel Ejiofor. Though I'm very excited for Matt Smith; I think he'll be absolutely amazing.

Who do you want to be the next companion? Please. Not Lily Allen. I like her as a person and singer and everything but we need someone different. A companion not from 21st century London! In fact, why not have more than one companion? It'll add a new dynamic. Ruth Jones or Jemima Rooper would be brilliant.

My Stories:

Miss Cooper: The first piece of fan-fic I ever wrote :) It was originally intended to be a one-shot, about Gwen's last day at work before she went on 'Wedding Leave' written at around the same time as "Adam" was broadcast, but it just...escalated. There's a new, creepy alien involved called the 'Gelbi', Skaro, yes SKARO is involved, as is Bilis Manger, tension and arguments brewing between Gwen and Jack, Toshiko's been let loose with an electric probe, Ianto's armed with his coffee AND the next few chapters mark the arrival of a very important visitor! Oh yes, and there's the question of whether Gwen will actually get married, or whether she'll stay as "Miss Cooper." Hence the title.

Call Him Johnny Well! I was watching 'Doomsday' again for the millionth time, as is to be expected and Rose's line about her mum being pregnant inspired a bit of dialogue in my head in which she and Jackie talk about naming the new baby after the Doctor. It then turned into a full-scale, complicated story involving telepathy, Revels, Rose acting like the Doctor, parallel Adeola oh, and Martha Jones. I started this before the start of series 4, so it doesn't quite fit. Well, let's be honest; it doesn't follow events at all, but on the day Jackie gives birth, Rose is somehow able to talk to the Doctor again, but when has Doctor Who ever been that simple?

Martian Man and Donna Dunghead This is a one-shot with Donna and the Doctor in which Donna realises how close the Doctor and Rose really were. She hears a weird noise in the night and goes to investigate. Armed with a spatula, nail varnish and an alarm clock. Bittersweet, but I loved writing it.

Sherbet Fountain Set during Series 2. The Doctor takes Rose back to the 90's one day and finds a nine-year-old Rose Tyler being bullied. Too ashamed, Rose has never mentioned it before. Even though personal timelines are never supposed to be crossed, this time, the Doctor just can't stand back and watch Rose being hurt. It's a fic which explores the friendship between the Doctor and Rose, Rose's growing feelings for him and the truly horrible sorts of things that children are capable of. Inspired by a real event.

London Girls Set and written after the Doctor's Daughter, although not corresponding to the events in the later part of series 4, it's a fic about the women in the Doctor's life; Donna, Martha and Rose. When the Doctor and Donna arrive back on Earth they realise that history has gone completely mad and so call on Martha for help, but Martha herself looks tired, unwell and can't even remember meeting Shakespeare! It looks like the problem is on a greater scale than even the Doctor can cope with; beyond the universe itself. But if the Doctor can't do anything, who can? Well, Rose Tyler can...I wrote this because I was impatient for a meeting between Rose and the Doctor's new companions, though it was before Silence in the Library. So no River. Shame.

Remember Allons-y? Just a one-shot I wrote after 'The Stolen Earth' and before 'Journey's End', inspired by the pictures of DT in two suits. It's basically the long-awaited hug and tearful conversation between Rose and the Doctor since they lost each other. Takes place inside the TARDIS, as they're both recovering from the Doctor being shot. Of course, things didn't work out like this in the actual episode, but I had to find something to write during the longest week of my life, didn't I?

Toffee Apples on Bonfire Night Set after Journey's End, assuming that the Doctor did give them a piece of the TARDIS. On Bonfire Night, Pete's hosting a fireworks display and Rose is in charge of getting a three year old Tony ready and he's less than impressed. The Doctor tells her that their new TARDIS is ready but he's concerned about whether Rose will want to leave her family again. He's being ridiculous...of course but he also hints that he knows something about Rose's future. Parallel Lisa and Ianto make an appearance. I was just going to leave it as a long-shot, but I'm now writing a sequel. First ever sequel...

Dancing around the subject of Minerva and Fortuna Have you read The Stone Rose by Jacqueline Rayner? It's almost obligatory for all Doctor/Rose fans but anyway, in it the Doctor says that any red-blooded, or blue-blooded or green-blooded man would love a Minerva-gram. But what is a Minerva-gram? He doesn't quite specify...Rose thinks about it whilst she's out buying milk, and asks him about it back in the TARDIS. It involves flirting and metaphors about dancing. Set the morning after 'Fear Her' and the day that they land on the Powell Estate for 'Army of Ghosts'/'Doomsday.'
