I read more than could ever be considered sensible, love music above everything but books, and enjoy well-written film and tv with an almost embarrassing level of nerdishness and glee.

I'm a grammar freak. I do not abide chatspeak. I hate OOC characters unless it's a blatantly good parody. I don't care about slash, if you think it's offensive, go back to your bibles and live in your caves, I'm sure they'll be comfortable for you when the your Messiah finally gets around to returning. (Personally, I'm rooting for Sammy Winchester - bring on the apocalypse!)

My OTPs and OT3s are just that. Mine. If you don't like them, stay away. If you flame me, you will regret it.

Books

Maximum Ride - I used to love this, it's what brought me to fanfiction, and though holding a special place in my heart, it is gone for me now, the books utterly destroyed and beyond repair. I'm sorry for this, truly, I had so many ideas for this, and my longest loved fic; Max's Pain will never be deleted, but I don't think it will ever be finished either. The spark is gone, try as I might. Sorry to my readers, you guys gave me the first boost of self confidence I needed, especially the Old Boards - you know who you are - and it gave me more than just a review in my inbox.

Harry Potter - I'll say that I can only live in books 1 to 5 and the fandom now. They just... lost it along the way. I'm studiously an EWE devotee, and don't care about the last two books at all. I ship Harmony (Harry/Hermione) as a basic, but I'm a Hermione!whore. Eh. I also like the Marauders, with the exception of Peter. I loved the books for a long time before they became popular, but it doesn't matter now, everyone's an original fan.

Twilight - I won't rant here, it's been done enough, but suffice it to say that I have a first print edition of the first book, and remember having a countdown to New Moon where everyone told me I was a weirdo for reading a book about vampires. Morons. I haven't been wrong yet. It's terrible that now, if I say I like Twilight, everyone assumes I'm a pop princess romantic with no imagination and a crush on Edward Cullen.

Abhorsen - I don't think I could stop loving these books. I ship Sabriel/Touchstone and love Lirael/Dog!Friendship to death. All nine gates of it.

The Mortal Instruments - Watch this space. Like I said - I haven't been wrong yet, and these are going to get big. Very Big. I shipped Clary/Jace all the way through, even through the two years of waiting and doubt that kept being pushed on readers. Hah.

TV

Supernatural - LOVE. I cannot properly convey how much I love this show, and I'm finally getting into the fandom. Have only seen S1-4 (due to location of country) and am such a multi-shipper. I am no Sam!Girl or Dean!Girl - those boys were made for lovin', and I am a fan of it, every single whichway. Sam is... just.. ooooh, Sam, and Dean? Have you seen his legs? The man is made to ride things. Oh, god, I'm slut. (Eh, Winchesters bring it out in females - this is my hypothesis, feel free to try and prove me wrong). I was a Het person before I started in on this fandom (where RPS is the moral highground, apparently), but I am now a Het/Slash/Gender!fuck person - Supernatural fandom has, to put it nicely; fucked with my brain, irrevocably. Seriously - I would never have gone and read a fic where one ofthe main characters was spontaneously transmorgified into a rubber duck and just gone "Oh, awseome use of setting there, and the brother!snarking was great - so realistic!."

Heroes - Okay, this I love. It's something to do with the filming, lighting, sound, actors and premise. Such. Great. Premise. However, the writing has steadily been going to hell (attn: see season two), with the endish of S3 looking slightly better, though not for my ship. I ship Paire. Hear that? I. Ship. Paire. Yes, I know all about it, so don't go there with me. There is too much eye!sex and Petrelli!lies under the rug for there to be true facts presented. I ship most Petrelli!cest, because that's how that family works - fucked up, but gloriously so. I love HRG with an obsessive passion and hate interfering!Momo. I also like Sylar/Petrelli depending on which Petrelli, but I am also partial to a good Molly fic... no-one ever writes enough about her. Greg Beeman has the golden touch and should be revered with a Whedon-like entourage.

Gilmore Girls - Love this show with all my heart, probably because I talk like this in real life, if more scathing and sarcastic. I ship Literati and no other Rory pairing. I like Java Junkie and can read it in the background of a Lit fic, but I won't actively search them out and read them. AU or Canon is fine by my, but I hate idiot!Jess or an OOC Jess, same goes for Rory.

Veronica Mars - The best detective show around, and it was cancelled here because they put it in an 11:30 pm timeslot on a Friday and then said it was getting no viewers. Ijits. I love this because my sarcasm is Veronica's, and I just always loved it, from music to plot, it kept me happily guessing until the very end. I'm a LoVe shipper - always have been, and I think Duncan was a kind if not thickheaded necessity.

Smallville - Love. I have a thing for Superman in all his forms, and I was seduced by the plot and UST on this show from the first episode. This once again proves that Greg Beeman is basically god. I have shipped Clark/Lana, Clark/Chloe and Clark/Lois in my time - all of them have their place, but I have a special love for both Chloe and Lois. Chloe because she could always be herself and was the strong woman who could figure out the answers. I hated that the writers made her have this constant unrequited love for Clark - at times, it just felt like a plot device. Lois I love because sometimes in the movies or TV shows or whatever, Lois just becomes this simpering mass of damsel incapable in thinking straight with Superman close by. Smallville shows a side of Lois free from the usual restraints - she is free to kick ass, and does so - regularly and in defiance of Clark. Girl Power at last.

NCIS - I'm a TiVa shipper, and Gibbs is just cool. My first ipod was named Tim, and his successor is Abby. Nuff' said.

Film

X-men - I'll keep it simple. Bryan Singer is genius. The third X-Men film should not exist. I ship Rogan, Ryro and Kyro. Anything else (ie: Logan/Jean, Storm/Logan, Professor/Anyone, Rogue/Bobby) that isn't friendship just squicks me. Close-minded, yes - but it works for me, and that's what fanfic is for.

Of course, there is always the obvious solution to the pairing wars. If you don't know it yet, you have an astoundingly pure mind for a fanfic reader. Congratulations.
