Author has written 19 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Lost.

The evening hangs beneath the moon
A silver thread on darkened dune
With closing eyes and resting head
I know that sleep is coming soon

Upon my pillow, safe in bed
A thousand pictures fill my head
I cannot sleep, my mind's a-flight
And yet my limbs seem made of lead

If there are noises in the night
A frightening shadow, flickering light
Then I surrender unto sleep
Where clouds of dream give second sight

What dreams may come, both dark and deep
Of flying wings and soaring leap
As I surrender unto sleep,
As I surrender unto sleep.

Sleep, by Charles Anthony Silvestri (to the music of Eric Whitacre)

PLEASE NOTE: If you are one of the growing number of people who has found me by googling the above song (I'm now the FIRST hit, somehow beating the Myspace profile of Mr. Silvestri himself), then feel free to hop on the bandwagon and IM me... but I should let you know I do in fact know the Robert Frost story. If you don't know the Robert Frost story, ask me, because it's wicked awesome.

THE NUTSHELL SYNOPSIS:

I'm going to write/direct films with some novels and perhaps a play or two on the side. I believe in individuality, artistry, and personal freedoms. I don't really write fanfiction anymore, at least not the kind the people running this silly, silly place are willing to allow. I love good movies, analyzing said movies, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Sondheim, Gaiman, Shakespeare, Theatre of the Absurd (particularly Waiting for Godot and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead), and well-written slash. That is pretty much me.

"Perfect love is the most beautiful of all frustrations because it is more than one can express." -Charlie Chaplin

"Be like a duck; calm on the surface, but paddling like the dickens underneath." -Michael Caine

"The reason that some portraits don’t look true to life is that some people make no effort to resemble their pictures."
-Salvador Dali

"My only regret in life is that I am not someone else." -Woody Allen

"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." - Oscar Wilde

"So much death... what can men do against such reckless hate?" -Theoden

"It was my view then, and still is, that you don't make war without knowing why. Knowledge, of course, is always imperfect, but it seemed to me that when a nation goes to war it must have reasonable confidence in the justice and imperatives of its cause. You can't fix your mistakes. Once people are dead, you can't make them undead." -Tim O'Brien, The Things They Carried

"I'm a heterophobe. I think all straight people are the devil!" -Lauren

"You must be the change you want to see in the world." -Gandhi (senior quote of Mike Hoppy, 1985-2004)

"The only explanation I can find is that our leaders have simply gone insane." -Garak

O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams.
