Author has written 2 stories for Card Captor Sakura. ~The Lol Corner~ Perverted Nerd Humor Frankie: (Suggestively) Hey, Meredith. I want to proselytize you. (Later, during lunch) Frankie: Lindsay was gesticulating in the back of the bus. Frankie is a tiny, beautiful girl with this completely innocent face. She's smart, has angelic blond hair and wide blue eyes, and giggles nervously a lot. But this is the reason why her friends wrote the word PERVERT all over her hand and her Chemistry binder. She is a little pervy for her image. If you don't know, "proselytize" means to convert someone from one religion to another, and "gesticulate" means to make gestures while/instead of talking. ~Notices~ 9/26/09: School is decidedly the worst thing ever. Two hours of sleep a day and no time to write at all. TAKING AP BIOLOGY WAS A SUICIDAL CHOICE. 7/27/09: I'm not dead, I swear! I've just been unbelievably busy the past, er, ten months. I just finished a month-long writing workshop that helped me somewhat, and now I'm determined to get writing! Can someone tell me how I was able to write six thousand words in less than a week for the workshop, but can't write that much for my beloved fanfiction in ten months? 3/20/09: I have declared myself to be the worst fanfiction author in history. My readers must hate me. That is, if they even remember who I am. T-T Currently listening to: "Kimi Dake" by Koike Teppei CCS videos and other links: If Sakura and Syaoran (from Tsubasa) were real, I'd imagine them to look like this - http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4/mysticmagic1113/MOMOCON08ANDAWA07304.jpg My Rambles (it's an obsessive thing for me, so don't read them unless you want to waste your time): Twilight by Stephenie Meyer I don't like Twilight. Yeah. That's right. Bella creeps me out. I do not find icy, pale vampires sexy/hot/beautiful. The movie sucked. The author has the potential to write much better. If you love it, that’s fine with me, I respect your personal tastes and opinions. But if you’re one of those giggly preteen girls who claim they’re madly in love with Edward Cullen (who is a fictional character) and have your own Edward shrine in the back of your closet; or if you can relate everything in life to the book ("Ohmigosh, that song is perfect for Edward and Bella!"); or if you hold the dogged opinion that “the Twilight series is the single greatest thing evurrrrrrrr”; or if you’re like these girls in my English class who name the characters in their short stories after characters in Twilight (because it's too big a coincidence to be a major Twilight fan and have two girls named Alice and Rosalie in your story), that’s when it starts to get on my nerves. Everywhere I turn, I hear “OMG TWILIGHT!!111!1!” or "OMG EDWARD!!11!1!" This one girl I know was about to go watch the movie on opening day at midnight, and then skip school the next day. Really now. Just look at yourself. I just want to take a brick and smash it into the faces of those people. And I know I’m sounding mean and harsh, but that’s MY opinion. I’m not bashing you for loving the story, but you might want to calm down, breathe, and see just how crazy-obsessed you are. I'm scared to mention my thoughts out loud because those obsessed people will probably jump me. Seriously, it's not that great. I love Cardcaptor Sakura to bits and think Syaoran is adorable, but they're not constantly on my mind. "are you -- kidding me? - an actual comment from a Twilight obsessed fan that I found, with the cursing removed -x- Anime and Manga I'm not really that into anime or manga, probably because I fear addiction. I tend to avoid watching any anime because of my short attention span. From what little I've seen, I favor Shoujo mangas more, which is why my favorite anime/manga of all time is Cardcaptor Sakura. The art isn't fabulous, but I'm still absolutely in love with its fluffy cuteness, and with the Sakura/Syaoran pairing. Following a close second would have to be Fruits Basket, which I have discovered only recently. Kyo and Tohru's close relationship (Yuki and Machi, too) touched me in so many personal ways. I lost count of how many times I cried while reading the manga. Ouran High School Host Club, however, is my newest love/infatuation. I once gave Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle a try, but it was too dark and violent, and I can't stand violence unless it's in video games. Don't me started with Naruto and the violence in that. -x- Flames I loathe flamers. I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever flame a story. It's just too mean. I know that however bad a fic is, the author might have spent a long time writing it, so it's just cruel to tell them it sucks. So instead, I'd just lightly point out what I didn't like and what mistakes they made. But never: "Your story is crap. Quit writing and go become a hermit." Take this as a request from me: don't flame. Most of the writers here aren't professionals, so don't expect their stories to be flawless. I honestly won't be bothered if you hate my fanfics. I take flames into serious consideration, as if they're extremely harsh, brutal critiques. I know my writing isn't wonderful and that I need much improvement. I write for the sheer pleasure of seeing my ideas and thoughts on paper. (But don't take this as an invitation for all you flamers to bombard me with flames. Unless you think I deserve it.) -x- Beta Reading Beta reading is my other life besides fanfiction. Truthfully, I believe I'm more skilled at beta reading than writing itself. One of my older clients described me as "competent." As you know, the range of my vocabulary is disappointingly narrow, so I had to look up that word on Dictionary.com to make sure he's not insulting me. But back on the subject of beta reading. I have beta read for many different people and have seen a variety of writing styles, so I think I know what I'm doing. If you want me to beta read your fics, scan through my beta reading profile and don't hesitate to send me an email or PM. I’m always on (unless I’m showering/eating/out somewhere/sleeping/being lazy), so I will respond promptly. Yes, this is precisely the reason why my grades in school aren't as high as I'd like them to be. Chances are, I'd answer within an hour on weekdays. I'm tougher to reach on weekends because I'm usually dragged against my will to parties in attempts to make me "social," whatever that means. -x- Reviews I love reviews. Honestly, who doesn't? It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside whenever I read one for my writing. I never expect many, but I adore the few reviews I do get because I've noticed that they usually include a question/critique/comment instead of the typical "UPDATE SOON!!1!!11!!" As long as I receive at least one review, that indicates that someone in the world wants me to continue writing. And I'll always reply back, even if it's just to thank you. If I ever neglect to reply to your review, it must mean something seriously bad happened to me. The reason as to why people never seem to see me review is this: I don't read fanfiction anymore. I have no time to write, let alone read. I would love to be able to sit and read fanfics for hours, like I used to, but I can't. Life sucks. About the Author Name(s): Tammy, but I'd rather you call me Mimi, which is what my parents have been calling me since I was a month old Likes: Dislikes: Random Facts: Fics That May or May Not Come Out (aka Plot Bunnies) +Maiden Voyage+ Summary: The renowned Captain Li Syaoran and his faithful crew have set off on another one of their famous voyages, on a search for new, foreign treasures. It's all smooth sailing: no storms, plenty of winds. But wait, what’s this? “Captain, we’ve found a stowaway!” And that stowaway, of course, is Sakura. And the poor dear's lost her memory. She's not exactly a stowaway, but I haven't figured out how to get her on Syaoran's ship. -x- +Conversion+ This is still in the embryonic stage. I need a few more months of brainstorming before I actually start to write anything. Still too blah. I'm not even sure if I'm going to start this at all. It was just an idea that struck when I was visited by a certain friend of mine, who shall remain nameless if I don't want to give out the details... -x- +Perspective+ Summary: When I knocked on Sakura-chan's front door and realized it was open, I brushed it off. When I experienced the unusual silence in the Kinomoto's living room, I ignored it. And when I heard the groan and giggle coming from the kitchen, I thought Sakura-chan and Li-kun were simply having fun. But when I heard my best friend tell Li-kun to remove his shirt, that was when realization hit me hard. Then I whipped out my camcorder and pushed the small red button labeled record... A three-shot. Just an idea that popped into my mind during English class. I'll be working on this -- slowly -- between my Forget-Me-Not chapters. My first try at a humorous-ish fic. | |||||||||||||
