It will probably come as no surprise to you that my name is not actually Birchbark. I am a high-schooler living in the northern U.S., along with my parents, two younger brothers, and one cat. My main interests are singing, writing, reading, weaving, logrolling (which is a sport, in case you were wondering), and talking to myself.
I am currently obsessed with The Silmarillion, and it‘s the only fandom I‘ve been writing for. I'm also a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Tamora Pierce's Tortall books, Redwall, Percy Jackson, Fablehaven, Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Deltora Quest, The Chronicles of Narnia, Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, anything by Gail Carson Levine, the Bloody Jack books, the Books of Bayern, and many others.
I've had an account on here for a few years now, but only so I could write reviews and favorite stuff. Just recently I got the guts to stop lurking and actually post something. Hopefully more is on the way. Right now my favorite writing topic is the royal family of Numenor. Lots of interesting characters with not a lot of background or personality. I may write stuff for other fandoms eventually. I'm never entirely sure what my brain is going to do next.

Dislikes: Bugs, caffeine, math, sore throats, the Twilight series
