Hello and hugs to all. I thought I would take a moment and thank you all for a magical and wonderful first year on fanfic. You have all been so kind and generous and kept me writing (and going) through some rough times! If I could hug you all I would. I posted my first story here one year ago on 18-July and since those first words I have posted more than half a million! And that's thanks to you! The Supernatural fandom is such an amazing experience. I've been involved in others before, but there is something remarkable about this fandom. Warm, giving and kind.
So here I am, one year later, still happily playing in the Supernatural universe.
About me: I currently live and work in the Pacific Northwest. I have been a writer off and on for most of my adult life. I am currently nearly finished with my second novel with an eye towards a series, I hope. (Crossed fingers for that.) My first completed novel is currently in the hands of Thomas Dunne books, we're waiting to hear on it. So sacrifices, crossed fingers and good thoughts for that are much appreciated to encourage them. If you're curious about my second (it's in more the Supernatural line) the first two chapters of The Legacy are up on my website muffymorrigan.com.
I am a Master Herbalist with a specialty in European herbalism and Dark Ages medicine. Along with that study comes a vast knowledge of herbal charms, magic and all the other things that used to be a part of medicine. I am more than happy to help anyone with information/spells/charms or herbal medicine. Please feel free to email me and ask. I also have a pretty good grasp of Native American Medicine (and lived on the Res for many years).
I also have a good working knowledge of firearms. I guess I could be a "gun beta." I have shot almost everything you can shoot, including a small bore cannon. If I can help, please let me know!
If you have any comments, questions or even screams of anguish, please feel free to contact me. I really do listen and the comments and reviews that have come my way have all improved my writing. I enjoy challenges and have several stories on the burner, requests, that are stewing away madly, waiting to be done. I guess if I categorize myself I primarily write hurtDean. Although I think I am rapidly becoming a (perhaps new) genre, hurt Winchester. Poor boys!Although I try my hand at pretty much everything (except for death fic, suicide fic or Wincest). I want to tell whatever story I'm writing to the best of my ability. And if you have anything you would like to see, I am always willing to try something. A couple of requests have led to great stories, so I'm always willing to try something new!
In case you are reading my stuff for the first time, please know that I do not write Death Fic, Suicide Fic (even if things look very grim, I promise, promise they won't die! Or if it looks like they have, they will be back in body and not just spirit, I promise!) or Wincest.
I know I don't have a lot of favorite stories or authors posted. I do have lots of them. I am trying to update my list--sadly technology often defeats me and I read a story, like it and forget to add it or lose it into the mysterious electronic world. I am working on it and hope to get a few more in there soon! I'm trying to catch up on the reviews I owe from when I was still lurking (more than a year ago) I'll get to you I promise. Right now, I have to admit I am focusing on writing. I seem to be able to either read or write and the manic writer in me won't let me stop the words!
I have found such amazing support while writing on FanFic. Thank you so much to everyone who reviews (they mean a lot), takes the time to PM and a special thanks to Dennis, for support, care, love, tolerance of my little obsession and an unimaginable depth of knowledge when it comes to metal, classic rock and guy stuff! He's the best! Extra special thanks to Abni co -writer and when we have time--beta, TraSan, Manavie, Nana56, Heather03nmg for all their extra special care!
If you are on myspace, drop by and say hi, be a friend! We all need friends. :D I'm there as Muffy Morrigan! (with a space between the names)
