It's not that hard to figure out, so long as one looks at it logically, which, unfortunately, is a dirty word for about 70% of the people on here. Take the words 'no' and 'know'. While they do sound the same, how they are used is dependent on two factors: showing knowledge or showing deniability. If you are showing knowledge, then use 'know'. If you're showing you are unknowedgeable, or are denying someone something, use 'no'. Since I'm on the subject, let's cover 'know' and 'now'. 'Know' is a verb, and only becomes an adverb when 'ingly' is added, usually when describing how someone is speaking. 'Now' is only an adverb, and describes the immediate time. What I'm coming down to is, no matter how many rules there are to the English language, all you have to do is just think of how the word is being used | |||||||
