I'm a die-hard Babe fan; don't think there will ever be anyone to replace Ranger. Must be the whole Man-in-Black thing...I love to unravel a good mystery (would seriously love to unravel Ranger)! I can't write worth a crap but dearly love to read (my laptop goes to bed with me in case I wake up with the urge LOL), so I gotta get my fix by reading a lot of terrific stories from some really amazing authors here. In fact, it can be argued that I'm more hooked on Fan Fiction than Janet's books! (gasp) But then, we get to read so much more about Batman this way! I have, however managed to get my 2 step-daughters hooked on Evanovich (one while she was in Iraq for 7 months - Marine 2nd Battalion Oscar Co now based in Yuma Arizona). By the way, she is married to ANOTHER Marine, who is currently in Afghanistan doing his bit, and in November Lisi presented us with baby girl Marine! (right!) She's a Babe, whereas my other daughter is a Cupcake, who I'm desperately trying to convert. Makes for some real fun discussions, I'll tell ya! I also have a son who graduated from MCRD in October '07 and just now is home from doing his stint in Iraq. Thank God! (Charlie Battery, First Battalion Twelfth Marines, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii) and yes, I'm damn proud of my three Marines!

I've read every single book by John Sandford, Tara Janzen, JR Ward, Jack DuBrul & Kathleen Woodiwiss, all but the last by Patricia Cornwell, Lee Child, Clive Cussler (his Dirk Pitt was my hero before I "met" Ranger), Johanna Lindsay and I'm about halfway through James Patterson's massive collection as well as Sherrilyn Kenyon. I only recently started on Sara Paretsky (I think I spelled that one wrong and I'm too comfortable to get up to check the spelling!) Lisa Kleypas, Lara Adrian, Jeaniene Frost, Mary Jane Davidson, Shelly Fredman and Kay Hooper. I'm also just getting started on Jill Shalvis, Toni McGee Causey and JD Robb. I'm hearing really good things about them from people who share my tastes.

My other half & I own our own business (the only Hydroponic store in the state of Utah) so as the boss I get to play on my computer all day between customers (people walking into our shop can find me right behind the counter on my laptop engrossed in my favorite stories. He stays home out of my hair unless I get swamped or need some muscle). When I'm desperate for a new story with none forthcoming on Fan Fiction, I search out whatever stories I can find on the other 51 groups I joined on Yahoo (yeah, I'm an addict, so sue me!). I've just recently managed to hook my part-timer into the Plum world, most especially fan fiction. Her twelve year old son, however, is hooked on Stephanie Plum. Another 2 Babe converts. I'm sooo bad!

I play Pogo for sports & entertainment in the occasional moment I don't feel like reading (like that's gonna happen!). Thankfully my other half doesn't mind my addiction. In fact, I blame him. He bought me the damn laptop a couple of years ago for Christmas, so he has no one to blame but himself (he's too smart to blame me)!

I just want to say Thank You to all the wonderful writers here in Fan Fiction. You really make my day when I look at my mailbox and see new chapter and story alerts from all my favorite authors. You also save me a buttload in buying books! There are a few of you, however, who will remain nameless (you know who you are!) that I must strongly chastise for ruining my panties! You need to post panty warnings, dammit! It's embarrassing to be reading a really really hot story at work when BAM! a customer walks in! Yeesh! Most of them are men, too! Try explaining that one! It's bad enough keeping the moans down across the room when DH is watching TV and I'm reading. Sometimes the looks he gives me...!

P.S. If anyone ever needs a beta, feel free to look me up. I have all kinds of time! I'm a little anal about spelling; constant errors drive me nuts, so if you need help with that, I'm your woman! I'm also real picky about continuity. If a story is choppy, I'm gonna work it and work over & over until it flows smoother. I'm rotten about coming up with ideas for stories, but I can sure as hell polish it. Just call me Revlon, Babe!

P.P.S. One more thing. Even if you're not Shakespeare or whatever, it takes cajones to publish your thoughts, your ideas, and sometimes your feelings that you've put into your stories. NEVER let anyone give you shit about your writing. They may say "you're just writing words". Well, Bunky, I hate to break this to you, but that's EXACTLY what a story is; words. Words that are all strung together to make a story. It's how you put those words together that tells that story. YOU make that happen. Some people have wonderful imaginations and can weave a terrific tapestry of stories. If you're one of those people, share your gift with us. If you only wish to review, if you can't or don't wish to write, don't begrudge them their gift. If you don't like it, DON'T READ IT!! There's a back button on your browser for stories you don't like. Deal with it.
