Author has written 2 stories for Labyrinth.

'Allo, all. My name is Laurelle, and the first thing you ought to know about me is that I just LOVE Labyrinth... which is why I'm disappointed that it's so hard to find really good fics, and why I'm determined to remedy the situation by writing them. Be forewarned, though: I don't think that Jareth and Sarah should be together, not in the least. They're terrible for each other. I'll read such stories for the sake of sappy romance-- and enjoy them quite a bit-- but really, I've yet to find a fic that convinces me of their mutual feelings while staying completely in character. So if you're a diehard Jareth x Sarah fan, well, I HOPE you'll still read my pieces, but they're probably not exactly what you're looking for. With that said, I should tell you also that I'm marginally artistic and that I hope to have a few drawings to accompany my writing at some point in the future-- if I ever figure out how to fix my scanner.

Fanfic writing is a recently discovered hobby for me; I was convinced until about the beginning of this year that I was going to be a comic book author, and spent most of my free time scribbling away in my sketchbook. But after an attempt at writing a comic with one of my friends, I discovered that it was the words and not the art that really drew me in. This epiphany came just in time to choose creative writing as a minor in college (it's not offered as a major at BYU Hawaii, where I'm going this fall). I do hope to become a novelist, and am currently hard at work on a book with the working title Whitewings. It's a fantasy, of course-- that's what drew me into reading and, eventually, writing; I have a deep desire to add my two cents to the wealth of good reading found in that genre.

I am a fan of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings-- typical, I know, but there you are-- along with The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and anything and everything with the name of Tamora Pierce or Orson Scott Card on it. I also have a soft spot for Jane Austen, and have been known to quote Mr. Darcy's lines at random moments, usually drawing blank stares or uncertain chuckles from my companions and a blush from my own cheeks.

For nearly everything else, my taste is eclectic at best. I listen to Enya, Tatu, Alanis Morisette, David Bowie, Evanescence, and heaven knows what else, usually jumbled together in no particular order. My favorite color is purple, but a month ago it was red, and I think it's going to change again in the near future. Don't ask me my thought process; my logic is like swiss cheese in this case. I enjoy food from all over the globe, including sushi (the kind with raw fish, not just wimpy California rolls), calamari, and escargot, but I can stand neither peanut butter nor eggs. I do enjoy a good anime or manga, but unfortunately I haven't found any lately that I particularly liked; even the Labyrinth manga was too poorly done to be really enjoyable, with the single exception of the scene where Jareth passes himself off as Toby's guidance counselor-- SUCH a drama queen, but that's why we love him!

Well, if anyone has bothered to read this far, I apologize for your wasted effort-- I tend to ramble when left to my own devices late at night on a sugar high. Forgive me?

Love from Laurelle,
Labyrinthine Heart
