It's cold here. But I like it.

Firecrackers sang the ‘bang’ deep into the hour. As I lay there in the waist-deep snow, I felt a stirring in my throat. I listened to the rising and falling wails of distant snowmobiles. When they died, I heard only the soft plinking of snowflakes hitting my bare face and gathering on my coveralls. The winter insolated my body against its chill, leaving me many minutes to be still… and to think in the gathering silence.

The first decade of the millennium left without my knowledge; I was heedless and dead to the world for that moment. The passage of time, garnered only by humans, seemed very meaningless. I knew that my computer waited for me inside with the lights of my house. But let me tell you, the night was (IS) calling, and by the light of the full moon, I could see all of nature arranged in stunning composure. My weak eyes could take in the depth of the snowdrifts, the frost on the conifers, and our restless, domesticated beasts. There was wonder in being such a part of the darkness.

February 7th:

-Chapter 29: 5,563 words. Posted during January.

-Chapter 30: 208 words, ahaha... Right now I'm in the midst of the second semester, and with that comes two art classes to contend with. SO, there will be a lot of activity on my deviantART page, but probably not much on this front. The story's not finished, though. The Akatsuki part is only just getting started!
