Author has written 13 stories for Mega Man, Naruto, Prince of Tennis, Black Cat, and Detective Conan/Case Closed. Moving onto original fiction. Sorry. I won't be posting any new multi-chaptered stories. I will, however, post my fanfiction ideas which I know I will never start. Check below. I try to get new chapters out as fast as I can, but it's not always easy to. I do have a life outside of fanfiction. :) Things as They Are: ... I've got no excuse. Fighting scenes are the bane of my existence. Rules of the Shinobi: On hiatus. Turn Back the Shards of Time: Got the next chapter planned out, but only about 15 is actually written. Ideas up for grabs: -- FMA: Massively AU. Once upon another universe, genius crafters Edward and Alphonse Elric, two very normal boys, stumble upon alchemy... and things turn out to be a tad more troublesome for certain people. Pre-series. -- FMA: Roy and his subordinates find out that shockingly, Ed can actually be good at paperwork when he wants to be. Oneshot, no pairings. -- BLACK CAT: After a concussion, Train's memory for the past two years disappears. Suddenly, he's the Black Cat again. That isn't too good for Sven, Eve, and the men chasing him. Tips for Writers and Readers 1. Don't put "This summary sucks, just read it" or anything along those lines in your summary. If your summary sucks, why would someone want to read your story? Just try your best at a summary, and if the plot is interesting then people will read it. 2. Try to limit the use of Japanese words. Use some, such as honorifics (endings such as -chan, -kun, and -sama) and Japanese words that have no English synonym (such as jutsu, rankings, and weapons). 3. Spell check your work, if you can. For me, if there are only a few misspellings, I can read it, but if there are too many misspellings I will not continue reading the story. 4. Remember to double-space often. Don't have too many blocks of words; it's hard to read. Also, don't have more than one person speaking in a paragraph. It sometimes confuses people. 5. Try not to flame in reviews, unless you really hate the story and the authors gives permission to flame. If you don't like a story, that's fine - but if you say just that, then how can they improve, so that next time, there'll be something better? Write constructive reviews instead. Tell them how they can improve! 6. Try not to use symbols and abbreviations in your writing, unless it's in the author's note. Some readers may not know what those symbols or abbreviations mean, so it makes it harder to read. 7. If you're not exactly sure how to write a certain section of your story (examples: romance, fighting, dialogue), you might want to read other fanfictions or stories that have those types of writing in it to see how that author did it. 8. Above all else, don't forget that writing on FanFiction.Net is fun! Please don't feel pressured by reviewers to update, because it's better to have a late but good-quality chapter than have a quick but bad-quality chapter. 9. Regarding crossovers: when you write crossovers, you may have a problem on which category to put it in. My rule of thumb is that I would put it in the category in which most characters appear or events are mentioned. For example, if one story about one character going into another world was written, I'd put it in the category of the "other world" was in. That way, people who read it would be able to know about the canon events that happen. The only exception I'd put to this is when one of the categories is so big that it would just be strategizing to put it in that one, regardless of the situation. For example, the Naruto category is so large that even if your story wasn't in the Naruto world, people would still read and review. Mm, I think that's it. Anyway, have a nice day! | |||||||||
