Author has written 10 stories for Naruto. Short version: I'm on hiatus until summer at least. Long version: I recently re-read several of my old fics, and find myself very dissatisfied. They suffer from choppy flow, rushed pacing, malformed tension, excessive verbosity, mediocre characterization, arrogant author's notes, changing perspectives, lack of polish, and probably several other fatal ailments as well. I'd like to re-vamp most/all of them, but I'm a PhD student, and I'm married, so I really don't have a ton of free time. I have a lot of stories knocking around in my brain, including the massively epic fic I've been tinkering on for years, but I've got no time/motivation to write. :( I'm also terrible about answering reviews. If you leave a review and I do not respond, please understand that it's not that I'm not grateful, but rather that I'm an unreliable, impolite brat. It's not you, it's me. And my harebrained decision to try to get a PhD despite the virtual impossibility of getting hired as a professor, given that universities prefer post-docs and adjuncts.
