Salve! I am bandgeekcp24, otherwise known as "the smart black girl that dresses weird and reads too much." to my stupid peers that don't know me and won't ever bother to. To my kindly friends I am known as Gorgo because I'm so freaking obsessed with Sparta and ancient Greek and Roman times in general.

There are really only three things that I really love besides fanfiction...

Latin

Well...I love Latin! It's my new favorite hobby...and if you call it a dead language. I won't really care, because I love it anyway.

I am only in Latin II but I plan to take it four years. My favorite part of it is finding English words from Latin derivatives such as mensis-that means month- which is what we get the word menstrual from.

Also words like excrutio which means torture...excruciating anyone? Cause it's like my favorite word as of now. Along with fickle.

Band

Is my life. It eats away at the soul...and yet we always come back for more. I play alto saxophone (woop, woop!) I love it to death...and the only things I hate about playing the sax are

number 1) we never get the melody!

number 2) I'm convinced that sax's wouldn't even have music if it weren't for the french horns...cause all we play are their cues...grrr.

I'm in Marching band and it's amazing! I love most of the people...and the thing is --marching band members are the MOST perverted people in the world. I'm sure of it. And I happily go along... :D

Drama/choir

Besides band...this is also what I waste my life away doing. Our drama this year sucks...but I am really loving choir! I'm in chorale and it's amazing! My favorite thing to do is sing in Latin! (go figure..) Everyone needs to listen to the arrangements Flander's Fields and Deo Dicamus Gratias because they are beautiful pieces. Lift Thine Eyes is a women's piece that we're singing at Butler tomorrow actually...it's really pretty as well as Song of Ruth.

Fanficiton is a given. I've been obsessed for way too long and probably could have proven string theory with the time I've spent reading and writing fics. I am getting better about not spending more time on homework than fanfiction...although it is still very painful to do so...As everyone probably knows-summers are the worst. I am so addicted during that time it's ridiculous.

Talents: singing, playing my sax, making people feel really awkward...making myself feel really awkward...getting myself into awkward situations...keeping my grades up, being a total suck up to teachers...making my friends laugh.

Current Feeling: meh. idk.

favorite music:well I LOVE Moulin Rouge, Sherwood, Death Cab for Cutie, Panic at the Disco, Yellowcard, Wombats, Vitamin String Quartet, Owll City, Never Shout Never, Augustana, and the Decemberists.

Favorite Books: well there are a lot but my new favorite is Flowers for Algernon. I read it before and liked it, and I just bought it at Goodwill and love it sooo much more now! I also adore pippi longstockings :-)

Favorite Movies: National treasure, Transformers, Anne of Green Gables, Ever After, Green Mile, Major Payne, Hangover, Pineapple Express, Ace Ventura When Nature Calls, and Finding Nemo.

Favorite Color: yellow i suppose.

Favorite Actor:Will Smith hands down.

Favorite Actress: Drew Barrymore

Favorite TV Show: Lie to Me, Burn Notice, Monk, Royal Pains, Mentalist, Bones, NCIS, CSI, House, Walker Texas Ranger, Avatar:The Last Airbender
