| The Jolly Gnu |
Author has written 13 stories for Doctor Who, StarTrek: Enterprise, StarTrek: Other, Harry Potter, Young Dracula, and StarTrek: The Next Generation. Name: The Jolly Gnu. Age: When you've passed 2000, it gets a bit hazy. Sometimes it seems like seventeen. Gender: Tricky one. Last time I looked, male. Appearance: Exactly one inch shorter and slightly less handsome than the Thirteenth Doctor. I suppose I should issue a Warning: I'm one of those annoying Doctor Who fans who takes every opportunity to complain about the New Series. A couple of years ago, I pretty much exclusively wrote hate-fics about Rose Tyler, or the new series in general. But enough of that. I'm turning my gaze onto serious fics now. I've kept the majority of my old fics up as a marker of how much my writing has improved. Please don't feel pressured to read them, as you may end up judging me by the personality of a much younger me. "Death's Embrace," "The Venomous Mountain" and "What Lies Beneath" (which I won't be updating until I've caught up with it in the 13th Doctor's chronology) are currently my only serious Doctor Who stories. If you're easily offended or confused, don't read any of the rest, because they're just silly. My non- Who stuff is either serious (my Star Trek fics, Will of the Devil) or straight comedy (The Wedding), but I'm unlikely to update any of that ever again. Ever. So don't even ask. If you haven't come across the authors on my favourites list, scrutinise them for yourself. They are very funny, very talented, and often both. So... yes. Take a breath, step into my TARDIS... and enjoy the ride. | |||||||
