The Fics

Doctor Who

Baby Smith - First ever fic. Mickey, Rose and a parallel world. Three lines of pointlessness - avoid at all costs.

Going Back - The Doctor's thoughts at the end of Rose. Originally intended as a series, which is why the author's note jars a bit. This and Baby Smith are kept only for posterity's sake.

Running - This is a bit more like my current style. Also marks the rise of the enigmatic summary. That's all I'm saying.

Remembrance - Martha's Remembrance Days. The first fic I was truely proud of.

Time Never Wasted - Rose between Doomsday and The Stolen Earth, with a bit of Journey's End for good measure. Trickster-jz did this so much better with 'Constant Satellite', but this is my effort.

Miss You Before You're Gone - Unspecified companion and one very important question. Take this how you want to.

Rain On Your Wedding Day - Lucy Saxon. Good old Lucy and her splintered mind. More abstraction for your (dis)pleasure.

Mirror, Mirror - Sylvia after Journey's End. Has a companion part called 'Chance' in 'Time Was', which I'll get to later.

Ornamentum - Basically a canon-compliant 'what-if' about the Time War. Title is Latin for 'weapons'.

Time Was - Ah, my epic. Of all my DW children I love this the best, purely because it's so long. A group of one-shots, updated daily except for Internet meltdown, brain freeze, and forewarned occasions.

Familiar - My first romance, with very little actual romance. I got a nagging inner voice which sounded suspiciously like a Doctor/Donna shipper, asking 'what if...' Oh, just read the first chapter and you'll understand the question. Originally intended as a one-shot, but I got sequel requests (!).

As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) - An end-of-the world fic. Stolen from so many places it has an actual credits list.

An Exercise In Centimation - Yes, I made up the word Centimation. (It's like decimation, only in hundreds, alright?) Anyway, this is my first attempt to discipline my word count - basically Doctor-Donna prompt-inspired drabbles. I say my first attempt - Time Was was my first attempt. Some of the chapters got to 1000 words rather than the planned 100. Not so good at the discipline, me.

Water Born - A The Waters Of Mars knee-jerk reaction. Because I both loved and hated every single second, and needed catharsis.

Torchwood

Fifth Wheel - During the credits of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, what happened? Let's find out...

But Words Will Break My Heart - This is my favourite Torchwood fic. Because it started as a silly little attempt to convert Gwen-haters, and grew into this massive introspective. Also got an amazing reception, which surprised me greatly.

and there was evening - Yes, the lack of capitals is deliberate. Pointless, but deliberate. A post-Children Of Earth therapy one-shot, Gwen's POV and abstraction to the max.

we came so far to lose our looking glasses - Sort-of companion to and there was evening. Sort-of because they are nothing alike, except they show different sides of Children Of Earth. Jack's POV - sort-of. Oh, I love confusing people.

Pan Peter - A take on Jack's life, after TWS2 up to that big old Boe Face. Written before Children of Earth, but after the first section it ties in oddly well.

N.B. There may be connected ficlets to any and all of the above in Time Was, sometimes because of prompts and sometimes because I want to. Just so you know.

The Policies

I used to beg for reviews. I don't any more; if you like my fics, I trust you to tell me without prompts. And if I have to remind people, it means the fic was never that good to start with.

I write solely for the plot bunnies that occasionally knaw at the inside of my head. I also usually have no favourites among shows - apart from particularly annoying characters, I love them all equally. Any character, any time, any place. Nothing is sacred. Including pairings; I keep my views on anything non-canon to myself. If the bunnies are knawing, I will write it. You have been warned.
