By the way...please listen to my rant.

Imprinting is what happens to the werewolves when they meet their mates. Its a soul deep love at first sight. It rocks their worlds and changes them ... they become whatever their mate needs. This sudden mate thing isn't easy to deal with either. You could already have been in what you thought was love to suddenly be imprinted on someone else. OR the person you imprint on could be someone you've basically ignored your whole life... Its not an easy thing.

Quil imprinted on Baby Claire... for her since she's a baby he's the ultimate protector and playmate. Her best friend

Sam imprinted on Emily... he fought it and pissed his wolf off.. this temper tantrum is what caused the damage to Emily's face and the break up between him and Leah.

Those who claim Jake is a pedophile need to grow up. He'll be whatever his mate needs be it playmate and protector (till she's the proper age) or baby sitter. Nessie wouldn't not have been my choice for Jake... but then neither would have Leah (like so many seem to want)

On the subject of pedophile.. Edward could be considered one.. and no one seems to have trouble with that, or with his breaking and entering and basically stalking of Bella.. Hypocritical if you ask me.

Also, all Jake wants to do is make Nessie happy. That is his goal in life until she reaches the proper age to date. Also, it's highly unlikely that someone as overprotective as Edward would allow Jake to see his only daughter if Jake thought pedophilic thoughts. Edward understands imprinting, knows it's invoulintary, and accepts that Nessie and Jake are soul mates.
