Hey, everyone, I'm out of Italy and now am back home, though suffering from a sort of split perspective on whether to like it or not. I haven't written much fanfiction in a while, but rather original fiction, though I have worked on some very brief Star Trek fiction which I just realized may cough be the slightest bit illogical due to my very small knowledge of Vulcans at the time. I might or might not post it; probably not -cringe- (Edit: I did, but edited it a little, and I'm currently puzzling out Spock and Saavik's possible complicated relationship into a story, which might take a while but definitely has got my mind going)

As for all my fandom! I am currently hugely in love with the book The Mists of Avalon, which is sort of a slow, continuous obsession I have, and even more recently have become ridiculosuly obsessed with Star Trek and its overwhelmingly positive, interesting nature, though I am far from being any true Trekkie yet, having still to watch most of TOS and the series. I'm going to be either Morgaine from The Mists of Avalon, or Saavik, for Halloween. (Maybe even both!)

Cheers!

-Katie

I found the best song for Spock/Saavik, by the way: (I bolded some especially reminding bits)

"I watch you grow away from me in photographs
And memories like spies
And salt betrays my eyes again
I started losing sleep and gaining weight
And wishing I was was ten again
So I could be your friend again

These days we go to waste like wine
That's turned to turpentine
It's six AM and I'm all messed up
I didn't mean to waste your time
So I'll fall back in line
But I'm warning you we're growing up

I heard you found some pretty words to say
You found your little game to play
and there's no one allowed in
Then just when we believe we could be great
Reality it permeates
And conquers from within again

These days we go to waste like wine
That's turned to turpentine
It's six AM and I'm all messed up
I didn't mean to waste your time
So I'll fall back in line
But I'm warning you we're growing up

We're OK I know we're OK
These days we go to waste like wine
That's turned to turpentine
It's six AM and I'm all messed up
I didn't maen to waste your time
So I'll fall back in line
But I'm warning you we're growing up"

—Brandi Carlile, "Turpentine"

I'm a-writing the sappiest (hopefully slightly good) fanfiction concerning Spock, Saavik, and slightly, David (even more slightly, Kirk, and Bones) in the parts we don't see in "The Search For Spock", as well as more Spock/Saavik that's actually being thought through. Spock's got some troubles, y'know, so I have to find some way around them and see what he'd do confronted with the situation he's in. Anyways.

David's actually getting a chance in this fanfic, suprisingly enough. Though, of course, he has to go and die and make everything complicated.
