Author has written 2 stories for Silent Hill. Me Not much to say really. I was a Marine and served two deployments in Iraq, so any stories I write will probably have some connection to the military (they say write what you know, right?) I've been an amatuer writer since I was 11 years old, but that doesn't mean I'm particularly good at it. I'll admit I have plenty of faults as a writer. I'm a bit of a procrastinator, so just because I start a story doesn't mean I'll finish it. As far as fanfiction goes, my only real interest is Silent Hill (because there's just so many possibilities with the whole concept). By the way, my profile picture is supposed to be the Woodsman, a Pyramid Head type monster I came up for "The Bitter Season". Age: Born in '84. Do the math. Home: Texas (and no, I'm not one of those annoying "a little too proud about being a Texan" Texans). Movies: Apocalypse Now, The Graduate, El Laberinto del fauno (Pan's Labyrinth), Rope, Dr. Strangelove, Jacob's Ladder, Adaptation, Unbreakable, Get Carter (1971), and pretty much any Coen Brothers movie Music:Beth Gibbons, Poe, Garbage, Al Green, Bill Withers, Black Sabbath, Bob Seger, The Beatles, CCR, David Bowie, Dire Straits, The Doors, ELO, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Kidney Thieves, The Kills, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Sneaker Pimps, etc. Books: Johnny Got His Gun, Bringing Out The Dead, Catch-22, The Thin Red Line, For Whom The Bell Tolls Possible Future Projects The Bitter Season- A survivor of the 1983 Marine Barracks bombing in Beruit is recovering at the Wake Forest Veterans Hospital on Toluca Lake. Bed ridden, he uses dreams as an escape from his bitter reality, but when those dreams start turning into nightmares, he finds himself shifting between two worlds until he no longer knows which one is real. Influenced by "Johnny Got His Gun". Sins of the Father- A prison inmate under Police escort visits Silent Hill to attend his mother's funeral, only to be trapped in the town and forced to voyage into the past that led him to Death Row. Broken Angels- 5 strangers disappear at the Central Square Shopping Center when Heather is there, only to suddenly appear nine hours later with no recollection of what happened to them. One year later, 1 of them is waiting on death row while the other 4 are institutionalized in the Pale River Psychiatric Hospital, and they slowly begin to discover what happened to them in those missing moments of their lives. The Glass Coffin- After getting caught in a snow storm while passing by Silent Hill and driving his car off the road, a man finds himself trapped in the wreckage of his car with a dead body in the passenger's seat and a strange creature outside looking for a way in. - And, at the moment, I'm still planning on finishing "My Name is Maria" (in retrospect, it was kind of pointless to post just that one chapter which's essentially a recap of the "Born from a Wish" scenario). It's supposed to be a short one, so no point it abandoning it completely. I'm just preoccupied by "The Unknown Soldier" and what they call "life". I think I enjoy starting a story more than I do continuing it, when it's still new and exciting. Silent Hill V: The Unknown Soldier Silent Hill: Homecoming No disrespect intended towards the game, the creative power behind it, or fans of this particular game, but I really had a whole different expectation for it. Which led me to idea of rewriting it. But, to those who think the game's story is better and to those who may find my rewrite better, I simply would never have been able to come up with this story all on my own without the ground work from the game's creators (for example, "The Bitter Season" had a very aimless, "I'm really not sure where I'm going" feel to it). While I may see it as a disappointing Silent Hill game, I think "Homecoming" is a good game in its own right. Silent Hill V Teaser Trailer - my inspiration for the story. "We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn (the song Alex hears in the nightmare version of his home) "One" by Metallica (music video) Just really seems to fit the story (and the movie clips in the video are from the film adaption of "Johnny Got His Gun"). This is the song Alex is singing to himself in chapter 10: "Whispers". "Lust" by The Raveonettes (song playing in the beginning of "Halls of the Crimson King") "Love is Blue" by Paul Mauriat (music Alex hears in room 312) | |||||||
