► Believes NaruSasuSakuNejiHina and Goten x Bra x Marron x Trunks x Pan will solve everything.

► Dislikes slash, but respects those who do like it. (However, she is willing to read anything, even slash, if done very, very well. You have YenGirl and Chronic Laziness to thank for that.)

► Hates stereotypes, though detests people who rave about hating them just as much.

► Beware . . . she loves writing in convoluted metaphors, smilies, and abstract imagery.

► Believes Uzumaki Naruto needs more love.

A Rant

Could someone please tell me what happened to pairing peace? You know, tolerating and respecting what people like, regardless of how out-there it might be. Since when has liking a non-canon pairing (or "crack pairing") been a crime against the original author of the source material? Lately, I've come across a few people who abuse other fans personally about the pairings they enjoy reading and writing about. Apparently, you must restrict yourself to only the "canon" pairings, as to do otherwise is an insult, a heinous crime, even if these "canon pairings" have not even been confirmed or hinted at in the series/book/movie, etc. I'm sorry, but I know that my friends and I don't enjoy limiting our creativity. Pairings are just pairings. Now, I personally prefer non-canon pairings because I enjoy the challenge of bringing two very unlikely people together. I believe it exercises more originality, which I find sorely lacking in many of the canon pairing fic I see floating around. If that's a felony, arrest me now. Go on, do it.

Still, that's not to say I only like non-canon couples. I enjoy many canon and quasi-canon pairings, so I don't limit myself.

Please, if you don't want to read non-canon fics, don't purposely access one that features a hated couple of yours. Leave us be, and we'll leave you be.
