My profile is divided in two sections.

First, a bit about my ship of choice and general fanfiction things. Below that, I have some basic info about what my stories are about, and I try to keep you lot updated on the progress on my stories (just go to the bolded titles of said stories for info).

So, here's the yadi yadi yadada bit:

First of all, my ship of choice: Tomione. In HP-fanfiction I only read and write about this coupling. Sorry, I tried reading other pairings and some stories were well-written, but they just don't pique my interest as much as this impossible pairing does. I like the fun you can have with these two outspoken characters who have such different world views and opinions that it gives for the most interesting debates and conflicts in my humble opinion. Besides, it's a challenge to make this pairing work in a somewhat believable manner, and I never shy away from a challenge.

As for Tomione fanfiction, there are several things that are important to me while reading and writing.

First, there is characterisation. I dislike complete OOCness of both characters. I don't mind additions to canon characterisation or slight diversions (since canon is seen through Harry's biased POV and you do have some wiggle room for Hermione and Tom because Harry can't possibly have noticed everything about their lives). I don't mind if a character changes as a result of the events in a fanfic. I don't even mind if a minor trait is added or omitted. However, if the character is someone who's not at all recognisable as Hermione or Tom, I run for the hills.

As a writer of Tomione stories, I have to warn you that I don't make a difference between Lord Voldemort and Tom Riddle Jr. as FFnet does. For the purpose of fic-posting on this site, however, I will choose one of the two depending on appearances since I believe most readers prefer to be able to differentiate between fics based on how Tom looks. Therefore, if my fic is posted in the Tom Riddle Jr. category, it means he will have his hair and handsome looks. It will NOT mean he's a little, misunderstood, lonely, sad boy who just needs a pat on the head and some "lurving" from the right woman to change his evil ways. I am not saying I am against redemption; I am saying it takes a hell of a lot more than that to make me believe in its possibility.

Besides, I am getting sick of the strange argument that teenage Tom has a shot at redemption while the older Riddle has not. To me the opposite is more likely. From the "two", the snake-faced one has a better foundation in canon to have a shot at remorse since he's the one who took a bit of "good" back inside of him when he used Harry's blood to resurrect unlike teenage Tom who can't feel love and has already killed four people and made at least one, possibly two Horcruxes by the time he's Head Boy. If one would want to, one could write how the love (Lily's sacrifice that empowers and protects Harry) inside of Voldemort gradually changes his perception and acts. I don't really see that option for teenage Tom. If you want to "change" him, you'd have to catch him as a baby or you need some major magical interference before I will buy it.

I will also warn you that I'm not willing to throw Hermione under a bus for Tom. If you're one of those people who loves Tom and wants to see him happy, no matter what the cost to the girl he's with, my fics are not for you. If at the end of my fic, I still think that any sane woman would run for the hills, if there is no solid, logical reason for her to gain something from their relationship (and then I don't mean the safety of the rest of the world population but something she personally gains from it), and she can get away, Hermione won't stick around. I cannot and will not do that to her. I am not saying I don't approve of a dark!fic or won't write one, quite the contrary. But when I go that route, Hermione will not be his plaything. She'll give as good or as bad as she gets. And yes, I don't think fics should always end on a happy note - real life is much more ambiguous than fiction. So basically: Expect anything. XD

Second, there is canon. As much as I love and adore canon, I have no problem diverting from it depending on where and when in canon my story starts. In Masters of Manipulation, the challenge I set myself was to fit that story entirely into canon; in Bittersweet I altered the ending of canon and moved on from that point; and in Apprentice, my story starts at the end of OotP and the events in Apprentice will severely alter everything that originally unfolded in canon (even though I will still use things from HBP and DH, it will not work out as before). I do try to keep contact with canon in my AU stories because it's Rowling's universe I place the story in, but I am not as they say a "canon nazi" who freaks out because things aren't entirely the same. It's called fanfiction for a reason. If I want to read more of the same, I have a much better written paper version of HP in my bookcase to go to.

Third, smut! Yes, the reason fanfiction thrives. *winks* Here on FFnet MA sex scenes aren't allowed, so that means you have to go to either adultfanfiction, GrangerEnchanted or ArchiveofourOwn to read them (if you're of legal age). I will only post M-rated smut here. Yeah, I know ... trying to figure out the difference between M and MA is worthy of supplying one with a monster headache, but eh, I didn't make the rules. So, sometimes, this censorship will mean that the stories will be different beyond the smut on the other sites. You can see how the story differs in the paragraphs below about the story, its contents and progress.

Fourth, reviews. Yes, I LOOOOVE them. Big smack on the lips to all you lovely reviewers. Where did they all go? Surely, my smooches aren't that bad? *emo teardrop* If you leave a signed review, I will always do my best to reply to you asap. If you leave an anonymous review on a story, I'll reply to you on our special Tomione forum (the links are supplied below under the respective stories). If you feel the need to flame, go ahead. To quote LordVoldemort7 (from twitter): "I enjoy it when people hate me. You're spending your time thinking about me & I don't know who you are. Whose life is pathetic again?".

My last point is concerning updates and my style of writing. I don't have an updating schedule. I write for fun and when I have the time. I post my chapters when they're finished, which means that, at times, updates will be fast, and at other times, updates can take much longer. Apprentice, for instance, has been on hiatus for a year in 2009 after which I posted nearly 18 chapters in three months time. I can never tell when the muse will go fast or slow. I will, however, not abandon a fic. I have all my stories plotted out before posting and know where they need to go. So even if it's been a long time since I last updated a story, that doesn't mean it won't get finished. I promise.

Masters of Manipulation

Completed. This was the first thing I wrote after ten years of not writing anything in English (which isn't my native language btw), so beware of homonyms and other spelling/grammar errors that still need editing out when I am no longer lazy and feel like doing the work.

This story I have fitted into canon's DH. It's time-travel, and when I say time-travel, I mean multiple time-travels. It's not just Hermione going back to Tom's time and then the travelling ends. There are multiple trips to different timeframes. Hermione and Tom are about the same age while being in their last year of Hogwarts during this story, and it's a relatively "sweet" story for my standards. It's adventure-based, but of course, there will be a romantic attraction between the two leads.

The Bittersweet Taste of Victory

Completed and still in need of serious grammar/spelling editing. The story is the same in terms of plot here as it is on AFFnet. Only there it has additional lemons, which have been omitted on this site.

For Bittersweet, I changed the ending of DH and had LV win. It takes place ten years after DH and Hermione's become Voldemort's obsession since she's the only one out there that he just doesn't seem to be able to catch. He's utterly bored until she comes into his life and puts it upside-down. He wants to turn her dark, and she fights him tooth and nail and learns more and more about him, his past, and herself during. They slowly become more and more attached to each other, and I hope you'll like the eventual outcome and find it believable.

In this story, I also played with the way reality is perceived and the "eye-witness" problem. I alternate POVs between chapters. One chapter will be LV's and the next will be Hermione's. Because of this, you see that things aren't always the facts that one character thinks they are when you reach the next chapter. LV's POV will be in the third person because of his manner of speaking about himself is often like that and it gives the reader the immediate knowledge in whose POV we're in because Hermione doesn't have that need/psychological disorder and will talk about herself in the first person.

The Black Veil

10-25-2011: Completed one-shot. Written for the Samhain 2011 Challenge at GrangerEnchanted.

This story takes place four years after the DH ending (epilogue not included). The Ministry of Magic is back to the ways of Fudge and decided to bring back wizards from the dead temporarily to stop the extinction of the ancient bloodlines. When they include Hermione into that program ... well, one word: Oops. The story has smut, which is completely omitted on this site due to the FFnet rules. Sorry.

The Prisoner

WIP. This will be a relatively short story for me or that's my challenge (to keep it short and not go into all the tempting details that pop up into my head while writing). I'll see how it goes. I have a version with extensive BDSM-type lemons on Granger Enchanted, adultfanfiction and archiveofourown. The lemon version of the story will be written first, after which I will censor the chapters for this site. This can sometimes mean that some relationship-relevant issues fall short on this site, but I'll try to minimise that.

This story also starts about four years after DH. Tom Riddle somehow resurrected again (physically younger and looking handsome again) after that duel between him and Harry in the Great Hall, and he's imprisoned in Azkaban where he starts to get visits from Unspeakable Hermione Weasley-Granger in exchange for knowledge. This is not a story for the faint-hearted. Hermione's not a saint in this story and Tom's as manipulative and evil as he can be. I also want to warn Ron lovers. Unlike in my other stories, I'm extremely evil to him in this story. His marriage to Hermione is an utter failure, and neither is handling that very well. Also, if you prefer Hermione to be the victim of an Arse!Ron and have no fault of her own to her failing marriage, this is not the story for you. Hermione is human and makes some very bad choices in this story.

June 2012: I'm terribly sorry for taking down 12 of the 14 chapters of this story. Alas, due to FFnet suddenly giving a second condition to their M-rating, I feared this story wasn't in compliance with their rules despite the censorship I'd already put in it. I'll make sure that those of you who have it on alert here will get a message when chapter 15 is posted on AO3/AFFnet/GE. As for the 12 chapters I've now took down, I'll have to look and see if I can censor them even further and if that is possible without making the story completely incomprehensible, I'll repost them. I have high hopes that there will be a way, though. For those of you concerned that they can't read it now, use the AO3, GrangerEnchanted or AFFnet link. Those sites have all the fourteen, uncensored chapters.

The Apprentice

WIP (and nowhere near the end yet, despite the enormous length already). This story has two very different versions. The plots differentiate between FFnet and AFFnet severely and not just in smut. I can't stress this hard enough. I wrote the smutfree chapters version first, and then, when it was time to update on AFFnet, I'd add in the explicit scenes everyone there was waiting for. However, those explicit scenes made the relationship between Voldemort and Hermione develop at a much faster pace and altered her and his reactions to events so much that I had to change things happening on FFnet to fit for AFFnet in order for the story to remain logical at AFFnet. Recently I caught up with FFnet on AFFnet and the story is at the same point again on both sites. I will continue on chapter 30/34 when I've finished "The Prisoner". After more than a dozen versions of chapter 30/34 that were ... "meh", I needed a break from The Apprentice and decided to write the above short story.

The Apprentice starts at the end of OotP and thus has a young Hermione and a much older Voldemort who becomes her guide into joining an ancient, secret society of extremely talented wizards and witches (including Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald and several OCs). We're talking student-teacher relationship, and of course, Lord Voldemort first tries to sabotage Hermione until he realises her true potential, and then, the fun begins and their relationship develops. Hermione has two other competitors for the position, but the primary focus will be on Hermione even though you'll see bits of the apprenticeship of other two, too, just not as extensive as you'll follow Hermione since she's the protagonist.

Masters of Manipulation: Part Two

WIP. Anyway, I restarted this story after I lost my first version of MOM2 with the crash of my old laptop containing all the plot-points. Don't worry, I learnt from that and now always keep an online Gdocs backup and a paper plot-outline version of all my stories. When I first posted MOM2, the only vampires I'd heard of where Dracula, Lestat/Louis, and the ones in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. However, for some insipid reason, everyone and their pets now writes vampire stories so I am kind of regretting using them in MOM2 since I am ... well, vampire-fed-up. I picked them because Rowling hardly touched on vampires in canon so I knew I had lots of liberties to tie them in and write them in a manner I'd figure would fit the JKR universe and my ideas for the plot of MOM2. I also needed a considerable threat besides Voldemort in MOM2, which I thought at the time they could provide me with and which I still agree upon. I just need to stop associating vampires with things that sparkle and whine now, so my muse doesn't want to vomit all over me.

MOM2 is the continuation of MOM and shows the development of the relationship between Tom and Hermione, and how time continues to mess with them. It's adventure-based again, but with a bigger emphasis on the romance between the two protagonists. Prologue excluded, it starts right after Harry brought Tom and Hermione back to life and progresses rapidly onward from there. Warning to Ron-haters: I'm not doing the "Ron is a moron" plot that you see so often in Tomiones. I actually like Ron (sorry guys). So, Hermione and Ron have a deep friendship in this one. Ron wants more, but he's got some stiff competition that he's not likely to beat with the existing bond between Hermione and Tom. However, when two dogs fight over one bone, then yes, Viktor Krum is there to the annoyance of Tom. And when you annoy Riddle, you're in trouble (to put it mildly). Also, as said before, there are vampires in this story (not the sparkling types) because they have a connection to the temporal plot, but that will become clearer later.

April 3th: Planning to return to this story (just like Apprentice) when I've finished Prisoner.

Victory

Completed one-shot with just TMR/LV. Basically a "what Rowling didn't show you that also happened after Harry defeated Lord Voldemort in the Great Hall" story.

I may turn this into a short multi-chaptered Tomione WIP in the future after I've finished some of my other WIPs, meaning at least Prisoner and MOM2 (since I know Apprentice is nowhere near the end yet).
