Author has written 28 stories for Roswell, Dark Angel, Smallville, X-Men: The Movie, Stargate: Atlantis, Veronica Mars, Full Metal Panic, Ouran High School Host Club, Bleach, Dollhouse, Claymore, Glee, My Babysitter's a Vampire, and Inspector Lynley Mysteries. 10th June, 2012 NOTE: I have just found out two of my WOWP stories, that I haven't posted here because they're rated too highly for ff.net, have been plagarised by an... individual... calling themselves jalex_forever_and_beyond (account 3187110). I have contacted the moderators, and each person who was kind enough to give me a review. But I'm still royally pissed off. (At least partly because it's taken me almost a year to find out.) Updated 10 June 2012 Quote of the Decade, by Strwbrrygrl77: Fanfiction (the true definition): a fictitious world where the fans correct the colossal mistakes made by the writers of their favorite TV shows. I didn't have anything here for a long time, because I like to be mysterious... (grin) I'll say that I'm Australian, so almost everything I watch these days is hired or downloaded. I got so sick of everything I enjoy being cancelled after 13 eps that 80percent of my tv-watching is now anime, although live-action's making a comeback. I'm also well over the age of consent - the fic I don't normally post here will tell you that! However, I may very well start posting everything here as well now. I'm on Archive of our own, and need to get the lead out and work out how to post there! The best place to get my recent and current fic is my lj - just click on the homepage link. Aside from the occasional quiz-mania and tv/movie review, it's just for my fic and the occasional fanmix, and EVERYTHING I write goes up there. All my NC-17 and R rated stuff can be found there. NOTE: I have finally stopped procrastinating and joined Archive of our Own, under the name TaleWeaver Most of my writing fandoms are relatively small, or posted early in the fandom, as I generally like to have an impact when I write. If there's already lots of fic for a certain fandom, I tend to get so lost in reading fic that I never get around to writing any unless it's a rare pairing - but there are a few exceptions where I've been so captivated that I can't resist! Couples: I tend not to announce my shipper preferences publically, because some of them are... controversial, shall we say? Life's too short for flamers (see below). But if you check out my favourites page, you should figure it out fairly quickly! Current TV (in no particular order): Castle, Leverage, Covert Affairs, Glee, Haven, My Babysitter is a Vampire (season 2- finally!) and In Plain Sight (except for the goddamn finale!). Past TV (i n p o): Wizards of Waverly Place, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (stupid FOX), Buffy and Angel, Firefly, Forever Knight, Dead like me, Dead Last, Farscape, La Femme Nikita, Jake 2.0, Blade: the series, X-men: Evolution, Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis), Dresden Files, Veronica Mars, Blood Ties, Supernatural, Kim Possible, Doctor Who/Torchwood, Heroes, Dollhouse, The Middleman, True Blood, Lie to Me, Sanctuary, and Chuck. Anime (i n p o): Full Metal Panic! (totally captured my heart, still my number one!), Soul Eater, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, Ghost Hunt, Gokusen (both jdorama and anime), Princess Tutu, Nodame Cantabile (manga, anime AND live action), Earl and Fairy, xxxHOLIC, Vampire Knight, Gunslinger Girl, Bleach, Kuroshitsuji, Devil May Cry, Claymore, Black Lagoon, Fruits Basket, Cowboy Bebop (my very first anime!), Neon Genesis Evangelion, Read Or Die, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ouran High School Host Club, Spice and Wolf (novels as well), and Angel Beats. Books: Strange Angels (Lili St Crow), Jaz Parks (RIP, Jennifer Rardin), Dresden Files, Green Rider (Kristen Britain), Tamora Pierce, Young Wizards (for about 20 years now!), Alex Rider adventures, Amanda Quick/Jayne Ann Krentz, JD Robb, Mercedes Lackey, the Haunted Bookshop series, Agatha Christie, Ranger's Apprentice, Soul Screamers, Sister Fidelma mysteries, The Belgarion and Elenium by David Eddings (along with the sequels). I found 'Anna Dressed in Blood' incredibly well done and memorable - I'm just not sure I enjoyed it or not. I only get into the mood for Terry Pratchett once in a while, but when I do I absolutely devour him - same with Piers Anthony. I also recommend The Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger to anyone who's ever read a Regency-era novel or likes steampunk. Actually, I seem to be going through a steampunk phase; my favourite YA series of the moment is Kady Cross' the Steampunk Chronicles (loved 'The Girl in the Steel Corset'; so relieved 'Girl in the Clockwork Collar' lived up to it), though I think I may like The Clockwork Empire by Steven Harper even more (too bad 'The Dragon Men' will be Alice & Gavin's final book. But god knows they've earned a happy ending! Maybe they'll pop up in a cameo in 'The Havoc Machine'?). I may have an entry or two popping up in the misc books section in the future. Comics: I pretty much only read manga these days; faves include Maid-Sama (english language version of Kaichou wa Maid-Sama), Hayate the Combat Butler, Fruits Basket, Claymore, Vampire Knight, Gunslinger Girl, Secret Palette of 12 Colors, xxxHOLIC and Her Majesty's Dog. Not to mention everything ever published for FMP! and Ghost Hunt. CD's - Sarah McLachlan will always be my absolute fave. But I have long playlists of Nightwish, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, Trading Yesterday, Florence the machine, Breaking Benjamin, Abney Park, and various anime themes, as well as songs from Glee. I also have a long-running love of 1950's and 60's rock 'n' roll, especially Buddy Holly. Stop Flamers Now! No more shall we tolerate flamers that flame for stupid reasons such as for pairings, who wrote the story, and just because they can! By copying and pasting this in your profile, you vow to respect other pairings and the people whom like them. You shalt not insult them, explain why they can't be together, or say that they would rather be with someone else. You shalt have your opinions but shalt not insult pairings. You shalt avoid them if you hate them. You shalt keep an open mind about stories even if you despise the pairing. Copy and paste this into your profile if you want to join the organization called "Stop Flamers Now"! | |||||
