Author has written 25 stories for Harry Potter, Robin Hood BBC, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Bridge to Terabithia, Beauty and the Beast, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Tristan + Isolde. "You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you." "For every man there is a purpose which he sets up in his life. Let yours be the doing of all good deeds." So, a little about me. My name is Lily, and while my head resides in the clouds the rest of me lives in a TARDIS. I am a humanoid alien, and I have touched the stars. I have previously fought for King Arthur, Robin Hood and Middle Earth. I have studied at Hogwarts, worked for Torchwood, and sailed under Captain Jack Sparrow on board the Black Pearl. I have acted in the Globe Theatre under the careful gaze of William Shakespeare himself, and I am currently in the employ of King Caspian X's army in Narnia. I do not care to believe in the existence of reality. It's just a conspiracy. As is the existence of England. (Ssh. Don't tell.) But you could probably tell, from that little autobiography above, that me and the 'real world' are not the closest of friends. Generally I get annoyed with it for vast periods of time, and then it gets all huffy, sulks in a corner and refuses to talk to anyone for weeks. Yes, reality is an immature little child, but don't tell him I said that. He takes everything very personally, and he already doesn't like me very much. Because of that, I spend a possibly unhealthy amount of time with my eyes glued to the pages of books old and new. Old here meaning falling apart because they're too addictive not to re-read, and new meaning only slightly abused, so the covers are still hanging on. (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire are not so lucky, but we don't need to go into that.) I also write too much, but tragically lack the ability to turn much of it into a logical story with some kind of point to it. When I do achieve both logic and point, said stories usually end up here - I think about Doctor Who and Torchwood and stuff too often not to come up with stories for them. The quality of such work can be doubted, but I try my best. A special mention now for two quite wonderful friends of mine - Lauren and Bobby, the former of whom is as amazing as it's possible to be and the latter of whom happens to be a sheep. Who's invisible. And plays netball. (Hey, what can I say. This is what happens when me and Lauren drink cola together.) I'm back at school now and into some pretty important work, so fresh work - specifically chapters of Lost and Found - will regrettably remain sporadic. Please take up any grievances with my teachers. (That is a serious request; they work me too hard!) Oh, and one final thing. My pen name was, until recently, Outlaw of Sherwood. Plainly, it has now changed - which probably doesn't matter to you because if you only access my profile by typing my pen name, you won't have been able to find it anyway and I am thus directing my comments at no one at all. (A frequent occurrence for me, no doubt.) Anyway - I'm on the run from a bunch of very tall, very mean men armed with pointy things that are somewhat more intimidating than compasses; ergo, the penname changes. Shouldn't have to do so again at least - these pointy-stick bearing types can usually be escaped without too much trouble. Wish me luck, folks. All that is gold does not glitter From the ashes a fire shall be woken When the Dark comes Rising, six shall turn it back "Friends of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. The day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship - but it is not this day. A day of woes and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down - but it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, men of the West!" | |||||||||
