Hey, since you're reading my profile, I guess you want to know a little bit about me.
I'm from the state of Michigan, one of the easiest states to find on a map of the U.S. (the only big exceptions are Alaska and Hawaii). After a discussion I had with someone from Florida, I feel I must point something out a few things about my state:
1. The upper penisula (UP) and the thumb ARE NOT PARTS OF CANADA! They are part of the state of Michigan, and therefore, the U.S.
2. Yes, snow is cold. You will need a jacket. Shoes are advisable.
3. No one knows better than Trolls (Michiganders who don't live in the U.P. -because we live "under" the bridge that connects the UP to the rest of the state... It's a Michigna thing, roll with it) how weird Yuppers (People who live in the UP) are. However, they do have electricity and running water. They do not live in igloos. I promise.
4. I don't care how big your lake is, we have the biggest fresh water lake. Period. Seriously, look it up.
5. Michigan looks like a giant hand. So when we show you where we live by pointing on our right hand, there's a reason for it. It's just easier than trying to explain geographically. This does not work for all states.
My favorite TV shows are CSI (GSR makes me happy), Criminal Minds, The Closer, Strong Medicine, Seven Days, Star Trek Voyager, DS9, and Enterprise. I joined this site to write Voyager fanfics, but we'll see what all I write.
I am a HUGE Michigan football fan, and some of that might slip into some of my writing. Just an FYI.
For those following any of my stories, I will be wrapping them all up soon. I'm enlisting in the Navy (I'm scheduled to leave for boot camp in feb, but I'm hoping for an opening in Nov) and I don't want to leave any loose ends.
