Hey, Michikame here.
Besides writing FanFiction, I also like to amateur voice act (for no profit) which I really enjoy doing. I'm mostly on the computer watching anime or chatting on MSN otherwise.
I'm actually on FanFiction.net under another account, but it's far too cluttered for my tastes; please bear with another account.
I enjoy many genres of anime (horror, comedy, romance, fantasty, shoujo, shounen, supernatural, etc), and pretty much just dislike sport anime.

Harry Potter and the Shinigami's Death Note
Summary: At the age of ten, Harry Potter discovered the Death Note on the lawn of Number 4 Privet Driver. Time skip 4 years later to the Triwizard tournament where another notebook holder tracks him down...
Status: I actually have the prologue and first chapter written and am going to try writing more during the remainder of the summer. I love how Harry Potter and Death Note are so amazing and interesting, somewhat angsty and thrilling; I can't believe that there is such a lack of this crossover.

Rants:
1. Yaoi/Shounen-ai/BL/Boy love and Yuri/Shoujo-ai/GL/Girl Love
Personally, I am not opposed to two boys/men that have feelings for each other, but sometimes it's just ridiculous. It's wonderful that so many people all over the world (or FF.net) are so open-minded to same gender pairings, but if I go into a certain section, sometimes a good 40 (or more) of that particular genre is Shounen-ai/yaoi/BL. It's nice to have fluffy one-shots and gradual build-ups in relationships, but in the anime (or the series, such as Harry Potter or something), it is usually implied that the characters are straight and have no desire at all to be infatuated, then I just feel plain bad for the authors. Not to mention for live action actors who have their faces known instead of the illustrated characters acting out those... deeds. Also, a lot of what I see is just plain "smut", or sometimes a story just randomly starts with, "Ryuuzaki; I think I'm in love with you" or something (cookies if you know what I quoted from). Some authors simply start from the confession and just write down all the "steamy" bits of the story; save that for the adult website, please. I only imagine how many underage readers find their innocence unknowingly ripped away from reading such a story. I don't mind so much if a story includes an actual relationship BUILD-UP, but sometimes these stories are just ridiculous. And most of the Shoujo-ai/GL (Girl Love) is all hentai-ish/perverted and gross. I occasionally enjoy reading a well written shoujo-ai fic, but girls ARE quite able to control their hormones instead of jumping the first girl they see. Also, it's just sick to see siblings go at it or pedophilia in stories; I see stories with tags all the time in the summaries: "angst, rape, abuse, drug use, pedophilia, yaoi,", etc. Most of these stories may not have really bad plots, but the writing is just so atrocious (sometimes). I do see great stories that use most of those components and find them great reads; my heart really goes out to the fictional characters. I don't mind if people write these types of stories; I've seen some that have MaleXMale pairings that have many hundreds of reviews, but please control yourselves, everyone.
