On Writing In a few years books will become a thing of the past. Say major assholes who don't believe in the value of a book. Humankind has always expressed itself through literature. Books are groundbreaking; they create waves and they shock people. Would people's eyes have been further opened to previous racism in the south if To Kill a Mockingbird wasn't published? Would some girls realize how good we've got it today if it weren't for books about a sexist society like A Great and Terrible Beauty? I believe in the power of a pen, paper, and mind. I believe that writing is the one thing that is keeping humanity from becoming soulless politically driven slime. If we didn't have writing, we wouldn't be us. Humans with minds and ideas. I will keep writing until the day I die. I have been writing for my whole life. Even at four, when I could barely hold a pencil, i was scratching out stories about tigers and dragons. Today, when I use the glory and horror that is a computer, I write about fantasies and realities. Life exposed and what I want life to be. I write of heroines who inspire and villains who we want to strangle. This isn't what I write in fanfiction, this is what I write as an author. As an author, I want to commend all writers for what they have done to the world. They have kept it-they have kept us alive. Ships I Will Go On Kyle XY Kyle/Jessi- Yin and yang, dark and light. Sweet and sexy. Josh/Andy- They're just made for each other. Plus, I love Andy's hippie skirts. Lori/Mark- witty banter anyone? Harry Potter Harry/Ginny- because it's candy corn sweet. Even I, who idealizes cynicism, was drawn in. Ron/Hermione- Because it's RON and HERMIONE. Maximum Ride Fang/Max- Crazy and Sane. Nudge/Iggy- Again, crazy and sane Twilight Bella/Edward- sickeningly sweet, but depressed Bella bores me. Alice/Jasper- Alice is awesome and Jasper is sexy. Who else would calm our favorite pixie when she got horrible visions? Emmet/Rosalie- Rosalie is...well, Rosalie. Emmett is Emmett. How could either of them be with another? Carlisle/Esme- That's like asking "Why do you want mom and dad to be together?" Gossip Girl Dan/Blair- Two worlds collide...and it results in explosion. They just have so much chemistry and I want to see a kiss! Blair/Chuck- Because he's Chuck Bass Jenny/Eric- Oh I wish he wasn't gay...it seems like he's a plot device now instead of Jenny's potential boyfriend. Serena/Brick Wall- Their personalities match PERFECTLY. A Great and Terrible Beauty Gemma/Kartik- I respect Libba Bray's decision to do what she did with him, but I was devastated nontheless. I love these two together. Pippa/Felicity- Could someone write a story about this tragically beautiful couple that isn't PWP? Ann/Charlie- Promise. I don't ship- Kyle XY Kyle/Amanda- Or Ablanda I suppose Kyle/Lori- Um, he's technically her brother now. I'm very openminded, but I draw the line at incest. Kyle/Declan- I like gay couples when they're done right. But from all the fanfics I've read, they'd be the smut couple. Kyle/Hillary- I'm all for opposites attract...but their IQ should be somewhat in the same range. Josh/Hillary- three words- Please. Shoot. Me. Andy would probably kill Hillary Harry Potter Draco/Ginny- Blech. Please don't start on the whole Romeo/Juliet theme. Romeo wasn't a pompous jerk, and Juliet didn't kick ass and take names. Draco/Hermione -Not unless Draco wants a black eye from Ron. See above for the Romeo and Juliet crap Harry/Hermione- I would get on the ship if I absolutely had to. But I just prefer them in a brother/sister relationship. Twilight Bella/Jacob- Personally, I would like to see them together. But like I said before, I want to shoot mopey Bella. Bella/Mike- Are you kidding...? Gossip Girl Dan/Serena- Poke my eyes out and stab me with with a Louboutin stiletto. I hate Serblanda that much. Serena/Chuck- Give me a break. Jenny/Nate- I don't like what Jenny's become and Nate isn't helping to ground her. Let her find a good old Brooklyn boy so Nate can flat-iron his manbangs some more.
