Author has written 11 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh.

Hello everyone,

As you all might already know, I am Minou1992 as many people call me Minou as a pet(Like a cat!)name. As most of the people here on FF.net, I am a writer(An authoress!), a reader and a reviewer as well. Depending on how I find a story, whenever I review, I tend to encourage the other authors to correct their silly mistakes like misspellings and spacing or even like the characterisation. Rest assured, I'm partly the same as that as no one is perfect, right? Well, I'm rather truthful in my reviews and I also make sure not to insult someone's work. We, writers, all know how writing a story is a completely different thing from reading one.

I mostly don't read books actually. I always hated 'reading' before, so, sometimes, I really wonder where I've got vocabulary and other attributes to that. Frankly speaking, I don't know why but I really enjoy reading the fictions of others and they all inspire me somehow. Speak of someone who never wanted to have anything with reading. BUT, I have my own style and I think that each writer here is exceptional in his/her own way. Apart from that, I usually speak my mind, whenever there is but a bitter truth to say, I DO mask it but indirectly, I pass the message. My views concerning the way authors put their characters are varied. I do understand the fact that almost all the authors here when writing a fiction tends to make their characters be in character while at the same time, they a little bit out of character as well. I did that as well but somehow to rectify this mistake of ours, we associate this with the fact that the character's point of view and manners are changing as the fic proceeds. You all know that I write Yu-Gi-Oh! stories and mostly(not to say all the time), they are around Seto Kaiba and Anzu Mazaki(Téa Gardner). Another obvious point I just mentioned.

The other authors who post stories here are simply great according to me and compared to them, my contribution is almost nothing as magnificent as theirs. I read the profile of a fellow writer and a good friend of mine here whom you might know as ladydolce, with whom I completely agree concerning her views on the Azure pairing in Yu-Gi-Oh!, consisting of Seto Kaiba
and Anzu Mazaki(Téa Gardner for dub.) and her views on the Silentshipping(Seto Kaiba and Shizuka Kawai/Serenity Wheeler). Coming to a straight point, all my stories(till now) resolved around the Azureshipping. I absolutely adore this pairing and I think that its most weakest opponent is the Silentshipping. There can't be any competition between the two. I know Azureshipping would win, no doubt. No offence Silentshippers and fans but I give no credibility at all to this couple. Shizuka(Serenity) is the character which we saw the least in the anime/manga. At least, she did not do much apart from constantly thinking about her brother and calling upon him each time. She highly seems needy of a company and we can see how much she depends on others. She has absolutely no coherent duelling talent and we just saw how much of a duellist she was in Noa's Virtual World and also, her sweet voice was annoying since she spoke the same thing over and over again.

As ladydolce had said in her profile, Seto Kaiba and Shizuka had no interaction at all and if some of you want to refer to the scene on the blimp. I have one question for you, did you see Seto give a damn about what she had said!? I don't really hate Shizuka but I don't like her as well. Writers(Silentshippers) make Shizuka as a very strong-willed character in order to pair her up with Seto Kaiba. Well, wasn't she about to cry when she was duelling? Oh yeah, she did cry. I don't like character bashing. I won't bash any character in my stories, not even Shizuka Kawai but you would see me make her get some nasty remarks from Seto Kaiba. Not only her, well, all of them since it's Seto Kaiba. BUT, there is no apparent and real reason for which Seto Kaiba could fall for a girl like her. Not even because he is the enemy of Joey Wheeler(Katsuya Jounouchi). Oh come on, Kaiba calls Joey a mutt and while his distaste for him is gigantic, he had never acknowledged his sister's presence.

Leading to another point, another reason writers put Seto and Shizuka together is because Seto has a brother and well, Shizuka as well. How the hell does that make a person become a couple with another one!? Moreover, they do not even have that in common as well. BECAUSE, Seto looks after his little borther and Shizuka is the little sister that always needs to be looked after. You don't really see her... protecting her brother. DO NOT flame for whatever I'm saying 'cause I'm not being harsh and I'm writing on my own profile.

I don't have to start praising the Azureshipping else I'll never end. In the whole time I watched and read Yu-Gi-Oh! The only(actual) plausible couples could have been Atemu and Anzu, if he did not go, and Joey and Mai Valentine(Mai Kujaku). Not even Yuugi could have been with Téa because to her, he's just a friend, a best friend nonetheless. Forget the fits of jealousy that Anzu had when Rebecca was constantly saying and proving how much she loves Yuugi since no one would want somebody to cling to his/her best friend. Even I don't like that.

If I support Seto Kaiba and Téa Gardner as a couple, it's because they had some interaction together. Téa had always stood up to her friends. Not with friendship speeches but clear words which happen not to go unnoticed by Kaiba. Kaiba had saved her, remember? Though it was only a debt repaid. Though often enemies are made to fall in love, I think it's most of the time the girl which the hero(In that case, Yuugi) loves, tends to be noticed also by the anti-hero(Being Seto Kaiba in some way). Another way to put a story short.

I won't tolerate a Téa basher(It seems there is quite an amount of those!) in whoever's review. You don't see me bashing your characters whenever I review so do yourself a favour and don't tire your fingers. Anzu Mazaki is one strong-willed girl. She always talks sense. I know 4KIDS had changed the dialogues to words of friendship but they do have some meaning. Just listen in between the lines. If you even compare the one scene from the original and the dubbed version of the episode from Duellist Kingdom where she scolded(literally) Kaiba on the castle rooftop, I personally loved both versions of what she had said.

Speaking of Seto Kaiba, he is THE character which obviously has to turn out of character before he falls in love. So, that's why fics contain so much OOCness(which can be understand though as long as his "true" character was seen evolving) but thumbs up to those who can keep him in character(while he falls in love) and here, I'm talking about one of my favourite authors, Crystal Rose of Pollux. There are others as well but her fics are simply marvellous.

And the one who churns out so many oneshots which I highly appreciate, ladydolce, well she does keep her characters well but since she varies her ideas on Seto's personality, it tends to be a little on the borderline fall but her stories are very good(exceptional) as well. So I recommend you Azureshippers both of these wonderful authors.

Next time I get time to update my profile, I'll give more details on all my stories, the one already posted, the ones still waiting for an update and the upcoming ones whose ideas just drop by without me doing anything.

Till then, thank you for taking time to read my profile. Next are some details about my stories. I hope that'll help you.

About My Stories

My stories(for the time being)will be mainly focussed on Yu-Gi-Oh!. This is my all time favourite Manga/Anime and inspiration just come by itself for my stories. Basically, I've tried to diversify the plots but well, it'll always have a little bit of romance if not angsty romance since those are my favourite genres.

Upcoming Projects:

Multi-Chaptered Stories:

Death and Beyond:This story will still be a Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction.(As usual) And you can guess what the couple will be... It's a story which will have romance, angst, death, well, a pickle of emotions tied to our young CEO. Look forward to it as its first chapter WILL be posted on the 28th of January 2009. Why? Well, I want to gift myself something on my birthday. I DO have that right, nah?

Keep On Betting: The first chapter of this story will be re-posted as the current one had been bugged, I won't heed to a complete removal of the story, simply, a change of the chapter. The second chapter will then soon follow.

Forest Fright: Chapter two will soon be coming and a few changes will be done in chapter one as well.

Feelings Can Be Reversible: While I have the impression of tending to the previous chapters that I've posted just to make sure they have the, er, format and neatness that I want, the next chapter should be posted soon.

Change of Heart in Snow: Well, I have no idea when this story's next chapter will be done since my sister is still working on it. Yes, the first chapter had my idea, my plot but not my writing but then, I kind of changed and added some scenes that I wanted. When my sis will break the news to me, I'll let you know... for sure!

One-Shots:

Nuptial Night: Téa Gardner gets married to the man she loves... apparently. Why then does she go to someone else and spend her nuptial night with him? Should be posted soon.

Discovered: Prequel to Carried Away. The title says it all. Well, as soon as I think it's cool, I'm going to post it.

Confrontation: Sequel to Carried Away and once again, the title says it all and for those who read the previous story, you somehow know what I mean.

Fairplay, The Blue St Valentine's Day and Once Every Four Years: The three of them will be reposted and will be COMPLETE... I'll let you know.

Profile Updates

Thursday 29th of January:

Whoa, after such a long time, I've got to be here. Yesterday, I uploaded my new story called Death and Beyond which you might have taken notice of. The reason for my latest absence is because of the electrical storm which stuck the USP's locations, cutting my whole supply of internet for a whole week, to put it one way. I even had to update my account in school. Else, it was because of my anxiety about my results which came out pretty well as I was NOT expecting. Now, my other stories are going to be worked on and be posted rather soon, hopefully. And finally, I can get back to reading other fics that I was following, or new ones as well. Life is just bliss... for now.
