Author has written 59 stories for Harry Potter. My name is Katy, and my birth certificate says I'm in my forties, though my brain is at least 20 years younger. The fact that two of my daughters post on here (HaruhiXHikaru and McFlyFan101 ) might betray the fact that the birth certificate is right though. Me and my fics! I have been writing fanfiction in my head (mostly Elinor M. Brent-Dyer's Chalet School) for a scarily long time, but only started writing anything down a year or so ago. The catalyst for that was Fred's death in Deathly Hallows, which - though I had always said JKR would kill one of the twins - upset me so much I had to get it out of my system somehow (that's where my first story, "Bill's Story" came from). Now, I am hooked on writing HP fanfic... I'm trying to branch out a bit and write stuff that isn't Weasleys, though they will always be my first love, and my favourite thing to write. My ongoing fics are "Birthdays and beyond", which does have an end in sight (really) and my Bill/Fleur epic "Il faut que je t'aime" for the Aboard the Love Boat Challenge. But I'm a sucker for a challenge, so I have a lot of oneshots and shorter fics too! "I Bad Mum have challenged myself! I'm proud to be a part of the HPFC forum." Harry_Potter_Fanfiction_Challenges Favourite characters are all the Weasleys (as you can tell), but Bill is my all-time favourite, and Bill/Fleur my favourite ship. (I am part of the minority who likes Fleur!) I also ship George/Katie; Molly/Arthur; Lee/Angelina; Fred/Angelina; Oliver/Alicia; Percy/Penny; Charlie/bizarre Welsh OC; Ron/Hermione; Harry/Ginny. I also adore Lupin, and to a lesser extent, Tonks. I don't like George/Angelina, and never will (though I have read some stories where it "works", it never would the way I write them!), though I can cope with George/Alicia. And I don't mind reading post-DH stories that go with JKR's "official" pairings and next-gen kids, as long as no one expects me to write them myself! IOther favourite authors are Elinor M. Brent-Dyer, Jane Austen, Joanne Harris, Vikram Seth, Sebastian Faulks, Philippa Gregory. Mary Stewart... and I'm sure there are others I've forgotten. I subscribe to the Sober Universe (SU) aka the Sensible Universe! Reviews - please leave them. They make an author's day. I find it bizarre that people will take the time to add a story to alerts or favourites but never ever leave a review. Even "I am enjoying this" is an additional motivation to carry on!
