I'm 23, in college, and a HUGE band nerd.

Historian of the Gamma Nu chapter, at Florida State.
Member of the World Renowned Florida State University Marching Chiefs. (MCATDT!)
Play the Euphonium, among other, less important instruments. ;)
And completely addicted to Harry Potter.

I'm fairly new to the world of fanfiction...started reading in July07, maybe? In the midst of writing my first fanfiction.
I really only go for Harry Potter fics, although I haven't even tried venturing anywhere else.

My favorite character is Hagrid. HAGRID HAGRID HAGRID! (As if you couldn't tell). I also love George (and Fred, but not as much as George), Neville, Seamus, and Lee Jordan. And Luna, too. One of my best friends thinks I'm Luna...and I'm in no position to disagree :P

My favorite pairings are Hermione/George and Hermione/Charlie. Neville/Luna, Hermione/Fred and Hermione/Seamus are good as well...basically, I appreciate Hermione/almost-anyone-but-Ron. Also, I really dislike Draco paired with Hermione, Ginny, and especially Harry. I have no issues with homosexuality, don't get me wrong. I'm actually a big supporter of the gay community. I just think that Draco/Harry is very, very wrong.

I am a Hufflepuff, through and through.

I'm actually the captain of my university's first Hufflepuff Quidditch team...my friends and I have played Quidditch for over a year now. So far, we have teams for all four houses, and a really impressive rulebook courtesy of our founder. We generally play on Sundays, 2-3 matches each time, but we've been slacking a bit lately. Regardless, it's amazing!

Aside from Harry Potter, I love the show Bones. I'm a big fan of King of the Hill, Invader Zim, Family Guy, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Phineas and Ferb, and NCIS. I'm obsessed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers...they're the greatest band of all time, in my opinion (well, alongside the Beatles). I also love the Get Up Kids, the Barenaked Ladies, and have recently grown very fond of Flogging Molly.

I love Israel. I went there once, a few years ago, and intend on going back many times in my life...and maybe even live there for a few years. Who knows? Either way, it's beautiful, and amazing, and I recommend anyone and everyone to visit there.

I've also lived in Russia, during a study abroad at Moscow State University. I plan on living there again sometime in the next few years, hopefully to teach English.

I've just wrote my first fanfiction well, more poem than story, but close enough, and I'm just starting on a new story of my own well, sort of... I picked up an orphaned story from AlaskaRae3, and I'm working on updating it past where it was left off. Hopefully, my writing will be better in the world of fanfiction than it has been in previous writing endeavors...we'll just have to wait and see, won't we. -crosses fingers-

Okay, so I've decided to give you all a list of stories I'm in love with, because I feel like screaming to the world that they should be read. So here goes:

FAVORITE STORY OVERALL: Every Other Midnight by Kathryn's NomDePlume (James/Lily, and quite honestly, one of the best things I've ever read)
FAVORITE SS/HG: Hinge of Fate by Ramos (I don't generally like SS/HG, but this was the first fic I ever read, and it was one of the best. I only read it because someone suggested I should, and it's what made me decide to read fanfiction)
FAVORITE TIME ERA CHANGE: Deceptive Appearances by MillieW (It's CW/HG, but it takes place in America in the 1800's. I've never read anything like it!)
FAVORITE CW/HG: Only in the World of Dragons by atruwriter (It's amazing. Basically, just read anything and everything you can by this author. I've not been disappointed yet, everything is unbelievable)
FAVORITE FW/HG: Persistence Pays Off by atruwriter (Absolutely fantastic. It's not all mushy love, or fluff...but it's an extremely well-written tale of Fred and Hermione)
FAVORITE SF/HG: The Midnight Art of Finnigans Table by Nyruserra (Oneshot, but perfect. I think this is the fic that made me fall in love with Seamus)
FAVORITE DEATH FIC: Memento Mori by Lexie-H (Death fic, but it's not scary or creepy or anything. It's just beautiful and brilliant)
FAVORITE RL/HG: To Love a Werewolf by remuslives (Simply amazing and beautiful)
FAVORITE CHARLIE FIC: Dragon Tears by Jennie Chang (Takes place during GoF, but in Romania. Part I of a trilogy)
FAVORITE DRAGON FIC: Playgrounds, Balls & Promises Kept by Corrupted Desires (CW/HG, definitely different from anything I've ever read - it's fantastic!)
