Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. Aariya Sohni Muktal Born July 20, 1986 O.o.O You'll notice that I have a new story that isn't Sleeping Serpent. I apologize for that, but I simply could not sit around without updating something and since HTVL doesn't want to cooperate with me and Sleeping Serpent is going to be too complicated to write on a whim, I've released Like Luminescent Dawn from the Shade of Night. I've been working on Luminescent for a while and I finally feel comfortable enough with posting it. The chapters are a consistent length and the ideas come easily to me so the story is not too hard to write. It'll have a much better update rate than HTVL, for sure. O.o.O HOLLOW THUNDER, VITAL LIGHTNING LINKS Chapter 7 Chapter 6 Now just imagine Hadrian like that except black and dark blue with gold scales and green eyes. The white part is the crevice used to trace the wand. Chapter 5 The seating arrangement of the 7th year Slytherins & Ravenclaws in the DADA classroom. I imagine all the Slytherins would get into the N.E.W.T.S. class since it is defense. I have no clue if there are twenty desks in the room for real (and I am NOT following anything that shows up in those stupid films). Also not sure if the Patils are purebloods but I've always imagined them that way and I imagine the half-blood side of Su Li comes from her mother. Okay, I admit I just needed more last names that weren't so made up. Chapter 4 The hierarchy on the 7th year side of the Slytherin Table and the 7th year boys' dorm room. Note: Hadrian always changes where he sits on the table but I stuck him there because that's how it would look if he didn't interrupt the arrangement on the boys' side since all the boys come before the girls. I know, so sexist, but what can you do (their Quidditch team is like that too, remember). I also imagine Tom would never sit at the end--they'd be like his body guards. I am 23 years old, married and a mother of three boys: five-year-old idential twins, Armaan and Jameel, and eight-month-old Reyhan. You might think that's a bit young for three kids but it's quite normal in my heritage. I was born in New Dehli, India, but only lived there for two years before my family moved to Virginia Beach. So it's understandable why my knowledge of my native tongue is rather sketchy. I get by, though. Ah! But my language prowess does not end there. Alongside my brilliant English and my grasping Hindi, I have an even lesser knowledge of French (which I took for three years before I got frustrated with my French/German-accented instructor; I could not, for the life of me, make heads or tails of what that woman was saying), and I can read and write Arabic, though I'm pants at speaking it (my mother is Arab). It's been a life-long dream of mine to someday become a novelist. I knew I was meant to write since the first book that captivated me. My great love for reading was, impossibly, surpassed by my love for writing and I was smitten. However, I am the worst procrastinator so I'm stuck with a horrible combination of creativity that won't leave me alone and a tendency to put things off. So, though I have many, many ideas, I take a while to get them out. You have been warned. Read my works at your own peril. All right, then, besides that charming synopsis of me, here's more getting to know me in the classical sense: through listing my favorites. Favorite Books: Harry Potter (equals love), and maybe Birth of Venus (if it weren't for that horrible ending) Favorite Shows: Heroes, Mad Men, NCIS, Smallville, Veronica Mars, Kyle XY, Desperate Housewives, Kath & Kim, CSI Miami, Law & Order SVU, White Collar, Burn Notice, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, The Tudors, How I Met Your Mother, Dark Angel, mostly supernatural and action/thriller stuff Favorite Manga/Anime: Fruits Basket, Hana Kimi, D.N. Angel, Vampire Knight, Death Note, Ranma 1/2, Ouran High School Host Club, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Fushigi Yuugi, Hana Yori Dango, La Corda D'Oro, Kichiku Megane, Gakuen Heaven, all of Ayane Yamano's works, and other yaoi stuff Favorite Artists: T.I., Aaliyah, Jay Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Sonu Nigam (Indian), Nancy Ajram (Lebanese) Favorite Actors (in no particular order, except the first one): Salman Khan (Indian actor; epitome of gorgeous...don't let my husband know I said that), Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Karisma Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar (all Bollywood actors again), Daniel Craig, Nicolas Cage, Clive Owen, Johnathan Rhys Meyers, Tom Welling, Chris Evans, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore, Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Hugh Jackman, Robert Redford, Clint Eastwood, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Eva Longoria, Mark Harmon, Al Pacino, Don Cheadle, Mark Wahlberg, Steve Martin, Channing Tatum, Jason Statham, Dennis Quaid, Cate Blanchett, Jim Carrey, Michael Weatherly, Anne Hathaway, James Marsden, Sandra Bullock, Benjamin Bratt, Halle Berry, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Jet Li Favorite Characters (in order; well, the first ten, at least): Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort/Tom Riddle, Severus Snape, Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Lily Evans, Hermione Granger (when she's not being a nag), Ron Weasley (when he's not complaining about being a sidekick and is more clever & Ron), Lucius Malfoy, Regulus Black (go read Lightning on the Wave's Sacrifices Arc; you'd fall in love with him, too!), James Potter (when he's not an arse to Severus; Sirius can get away with it, but not you Mr. James Potter), Remus Lupin (when he's not being all boring and nice-nice and lets his werewolf side come out to play, rowr), Cedric Diggory (such a sweet, tragic character; love him), Blaise Zabini (he's just so cool), Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Draco Malfoy (when he's not being a stupid bully or a spoiled brat and is more like his father, who is damn sexy; and, sometimes, I just can't stand him at all), Fred and George Weasley, Bill Weasley (such an underdeveloped character), Alphard Black (as vain as it sounds, I fell in love with him while writing about him in HTVL, though I've read more on him since and like him even more) Evan Rosier (I don't know why. I just think it says something that he was able to duel so long with Moody and take his nose as well.), Antonin Dolohov (Don't you all have random favorite Death Eaters besides the obvious ones? Evan and Antonin are mine.), Daphne Greengrass (also another underdeveloped character; much better than that irritating Pansy, at any rate), Fabian & Gideon Prewett (They sounded like characters I would have loved had they not died.), Barty Crouch Jr. (another Death Eater favorite; plus he's a fascinating, complex character), Least Favorite Characters: Pansy Parkinson (-shudder-), Dursleys ('nough said), Percy Weasley (Why couldn't he have died instead of Fred? He was standing right next to him!), Dolores Umbridge (is there anyone who likes her?), Bellatrix Lestrange (only occassionally, the other times I passionately dislike her; she did kill Sirius, and I cannot forgive that), Cho Chang (a.n.n.o.y.i.n.g.), Rita Skeeter (blgh), Peter Pettigrew (no brainer) Favorite Pairings (mostly slash): Harry x Voldemort/Tom (my OTP), Harry x Severus (very close second), Harry x Sirius, Harry x Regulus, Harry x Cedric, Harry x Blaise, Harry x Lucius, Harry x Draco, Harry x Bill, Harry x Charlie, Harry x George, Harry x Fred, Harry x Daphne, Harry x Luna, Harry x Tonks, Harry x Ron (I feel like this list has suddenly expanded. I actually used to hate Harry/Ron, but it's suddenly on my favorites.) Voldemort/Tom x Lucius (sometimes I like it and sometimes it grates on my nerves) Severus x Regulus, Severus x Lily, Severus x James, Severus x Lucius, Severus x Remus Sirius x Remus, Sirius x James Lily x James Dumbledore x Grindelwald Hermione x Ron, Hermione x Blaise Ron x Luna Draco x Blaise Albus Severus x Scorpius, Albus Severus x Hugo Least Favorite/Most Disgusted By: Harry x Hermione, Harry x Neville (eww; Neville is so boring), Harry x Percy (what possessed anyone to write this?), Harry x Cho (gross; Harry can do better than that vapid bellyacher) Severus x Hermione (soooo WRONG), Severus x Luna, Severus with any of the Hogwarts students (except Harry cause that's actually very hot) is pretty puke worthy Voldemort/Tom x Ginny (fucking serious?), Voldemort/Tom x Hermione (avoid like the plague), Voldemort/Tom with anyone other than Harry (and occasionally Lucius), actually Draco x all Weasleys (A Malfoy and a Weasley? C'mon! I'm a firm believer of their extreme incompatibility.), Draco x Hermione (I can't decide if I'm more disgusted by him with her or Ginny.), Draco x Pansy (especially when they're the antagonists because they're so frustrating together; plus I hate Pansy Parkinson and I think Draco can do better than that pug-nosed trollop. There I said it!) Blaise x Pansy (same reason as above) Fanfic You Should Definitely Read But Isn't On This Site: Tom/Voldemort & Harry A Single Love by Vera (A beautiful, compelling story. I read it in one sitting, though it isn't too long; but I don't have that kind of time so it says something that I neglected my other duties to finish it.) O.o.O Snarry Tea Series by Telanu (Seriously the best fanfic I have ever read! Telanu is a genius! I know HP/LV is my OTP and I'm being a bit of a traitor but it's really hard to find stories that compare to Snarry ones. DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING AND GO READ THIS NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T YET! YOU ARE MISSING OUT!) Civil War Series by Sushi (Gorgeous story. If I didn't have such a heart of steel, I might have cried...maybe.) If You Are Prepared series by Cybele (Exquisite. I've read this about three times. It's that good. The relationship between Harry and Severus is to die for.) The Mirror of Maybe by Midnight Blue All of Aucta Sinistra's stories, especially Scratch and its sequels The Holly and the Ivy and This Thing of Darkness The Paradox of Existence by DragonLight A Time To Change by Sansa (There is a sequel, Betrayal Can Only Happen If You Love, but I haven't put it here on account of I haven't read it...on account of the pairing of Sirius and Draco disgusts me. What can I say; I'm quite picky about who I accept Draco being paired with, and the ones mentioned above are the only ones that have passed the test as of yet.) O.o.O Harry/Draco Gryffindor Seduction 101 by jennavere (Very engaging and humorous. There's just a very tiny bit of Harry/Blaise, though it's a little one-sided...kinda. You'll understand if you read it, and it's totally worth it.) Background Secrets by Calaidi (Starts out very adorable and likeable and gets a little more serious and hot as they grow older. One of the first Harry/Draco stories I read—this was before I was a fan. It's very slow to update, though, so don't read it if you aren't prepared for it.) O.o.O Harry/Ron Two Households Series by Mad Martha That's the main story but there are a number of oneshots that spin off from that. They're all very good. You should check out the author's stories by going to the first link. They are not what you would usually see. O.o.O Harry/George The Unexpected Life by nolagal (Very potent; a good read.) O.o.O Harry/Various A Little Touch Of Harry In The Night by Amanuensis Be warned, this is not for the faint hearted--the sex is very graphic and the morality of it dubious. Harry is a bit of a bastard, in the author's own words (though I liked him, but I'm a sucker for the bad boys so that doesn't count). It's a take on Shakespeare's Henry V. Pairings include brief Harry/Colin, Harry/Ron/Hermione, Harry/Severus, Harry/Draco; and an implied long-term one between Harry/Severus and Harry/Draco. However, I enjoyed it and you should give it a chance, too. Normally, I wouldn't read something with Harry and Hermione even rubbing up against each other (or Harry and Colin, for that matter), but it turned out okay. Het Harry/Daphne Perfect Situations by Jeconais and its sequel Matryoshka Vignettes Non-Harry-centric Fabian Prewett/Sirius Black Ignatius Prewett/Antonin Dolohov Ignatius Prewett/Alphard Black Check Mate by Lee West (Anyone know where I can find any other good Alphard fics? I've searched but this is all I could find.) Albus Dumbledore/Gellert Grindelwald Thirty-Five Owls by Letterblade, aka Arkady or M'lah Sihfay (Breathtaking, sophisticated, delicious, and, ultimately, heart-wrenching. It did a wonderful job of making me forget this actually didn't happen in the books.) O.o.O Next Gen Albus Severus/Scorpius Peek At My Stories: WORK-IN-PROGRESS (POSTED) Hollow Thunder, Vital Lightning Pairing: Harry Potter/Tom Riddle Genre: Drama, Romance, Fantasy Summary: Life after Voldemort is ideal and perfect for everyone except the one who made it possible. Unbelievably bored and unhappy, Harry performs a spell that will take him to an alternate universe where he can be happiest with Voldemort. Even he hadn't expected the outcomes or how the spell would misinterpret his words. Length: 8/? chapters. It's going to be one of my longer ones, though. :slash; AU; Slytherin/!Harry; Dark!Harry (barely): ———O——— Like Luminescent Dawn from the Shade of Night Pairing: Harry Potter/Cedric Diggory Genre: Romance, Drama, Mystery Summary: Cedric just wants to know what the big fuss is about the new student but gets more than he bargained for: love...and a closely guarded secret of such great import that, if let out, could plunge the wizarding world into chaos. Length: I don't know exactly how long, but I'm thinking it will be at least 50 chapters long. There are three parts and I've outlined Part I as twenty chapters. If the other parts follow that, then the story will be about 60 chapters. But Part II is probably going to be shorter than the others so I'm guesstimating 50. I'll know for sure once I've finished outlining. :AU; slash; Powerful/Dark!Harry: O.o.O WORK-IN-PROGRESS (UNPOSTED) Sleeping Serpent Pairing: Harry Potter/Lord Voldemort Genre: Supernatural, Drama, Romance, Action/Adventure Summary: As the Boy Who Lived, coming from a LARGE, well-known family, and being the only Potter in Slytherin, Harry attracts a lot of attention and for numerous other reasons. One of the first people he catches the eye of is none other than the most powerful Dark Lord in a century. Length: Very long and very detailed. :AU; slash; Dark!Harry; Slytherin!Harry; includes Roman/Greek gods and goddesses, but not in a religious way: ———O——— Vicissitude Pairing: Harry Potter/Lord Voldemort Genre: Drama, Mystery, Romance, Action/Adventure Summary: Of all the children of his Death Eaters, the Dark Lord's obvious favorite is Henry Rosier, but no one can quite figure out why. Sure, he is the perfect pureblood—intelligent and crafty—but that isn't anything unique. When the Potters are found dead, however, and the Dark Lord seems to be the killer, something drives these two apart, and only the Rosiers know what. Length: Long. Don't know how long, but long. I consider this one my special project. It's my 100th story idea so I thought long and hard on making it as unique as possible before I gave it its mantle. Harry Potter stories are getting to be cliches twisted a little differently so I wanted to stray as far from those cliches as I could. I've never seen what I have planned for this done anywhere so I think I've done a pretty good job of that. :AU; slash; Powerful/Intelligent!Harry: ———O——— Heaven Beneath His Feet Pairing: Harry Potter/Alphard Black Genre: Romance, Drama Summary: Hadrian has changed but Alphard loves him all the same, and he is determined to show him just how much. Length: Currently I have five (long) parts planned. This is for all the people who wanted to see Hadrian end up with Alphard instead of Tom. Keep in mind, though, that it differs greatly from HTVL. In fact, besides the main premise that Harry performs the spell to leave his world and merges with Hadrian, there is not much else in the plot that is the same. But, as sceptical as I was at first, I have been sufficiently convinced by all those PMs I've gotten about how much people want to see Alphard finally get his man. I'm still all for HP/TMR, though -_~ However, I don't want this to be released until all the things mentioned in it that are also in HTVL but have yet to be seen are released first; can't be giving away parts of the plot, after all. :AU; slash: ———O——— Of Moon Frogs and Heliopaths Pairing: Harry Potter/Lorcan Scamander Genre: Romance, Drama, Mild Humor Summary: The only thing Lysander and Lorcan Scamander have in common is that they're both very intelligent and that they both think outside the box. So when his twin is moping over his recent break-up with a client and his boss is searching for a new artist, Lysander adds two and two together to solve both problems. Length: Part of my rare pairings one-shot collection. I have yet to see this pairing so I'm very interested in doing it. I've been intrigued with these twins ever since I saw a clever drawing of them at deviantart. Also—as I don't believe Harry would ever cheat on anyone (much less his wife) and I don't see him as the "divorcing" type or the type to have relations with younger people when he himself has children—this will be completely AU. It might be weird, but my vision of Harry cannot encompass anything beyond that. :AU; slash: O.o.O PLANNED BUT YET TO COME Untitled Pairing: Harry Potter/Severus Snape Genre: Drama, Adventure/Action, Supernatural, Romance Summary: Following the defeat of the Dark Lord, Harry's magical power soars, as though he's absorbed Voldemort's magic. Fearing his now unparalleled prowess, the Ministry sentences him to Azkaban, whereby a clandestine unauthorized "accidental" Dementor's Kiss is issued. What happens, however, is that two completely opposite but equally powerful Harry Potters exchange worlds—and the replacement is far from the kind-hearted hero everyone has come to know. Length: No title? No idea! (Probably fairly long, though.) :AU; slash & het; Powerful/Dark!Harry: O.o.O I have many, many other story ideas (107 in total), but I'll put up 7 at a time, as that's my lucky number. I hope from this brief look and from my favorite/least favorite pairings list, you can tell my writing style. I doubt I'll ever write a story where Harry isn't one of the main characters or at least has a significant role in a story where one of my other top favorites (Voldemort/Tom, Severus, Sirius) is the main. I like a Harry that is intelligent, Slytherin, dark, etc; just stuff out of the ordinary. I doubt I will ever write any non-magic Harry Potter stories. That's not for sure, though, I might yet have a change of heart. I do write het stories, though not as much as slash. There's only so many female characters that interest me enough to write about as main pairings. | |||||||||||
