I constantly read fanfics, but I hardly ever write them. When I DO write or get an idea for one, it's usually something set within the canon, inside of a character's head, or one of those fun "what if" scenarios where the plot could diverge away from the canon. Fanfic writing for me is a way to flex my creative/analytical muscles...

Fav. Manga: Cardcaptor Sakura and Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of Clow

Fav. Anime: Naruto; Inuyasha (though I've only seen a few episodes), Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind, Tsubasa Chronicle

Fav. Games: Anything Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy V, FFVII and VII:AC (even though I haven't seen or played either all the way through), FFX and X-2, FFXII, FF Tactics, Pokemon (just the game), Zelda, The Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Valkyrie Profile 2

Fav. Books: The Harry Potter series, The Sword of Truth series, Eragon, Eldest, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, The Twilight saga

I openly accept constructive criticism because I am trying to improve my writing skills. I prefer to write fanfics based on games or tv shows because it feels too awkward taking a real author's characters away from him/her...plus it's more fun to build up on what you THINK characters are thinking rather than following a set pattern.
