Author has written 7 stories for Pokemon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Gundam 00, and Castle in the Sky.

I am a teenage guy from Wisconsin, but I recently moved to a town in western New York State.

I'm in high school in an incredibly pretentious district, which revels both assigning us enough work to either crush our lungs or cripple our spine and bragging about how this makes it one of the top-fifty high schools in the country. Certes, one can partially attribute this to my own decision to stock my schedule with AP classes, which can range from There's-not-much-homework-but-you-better-pay-really-close-attention-and-study-like-there's-no-tomorrow (AP Economics) to You-have-just-buried-the-corpse-of-what-leisure-time-you-once-had (AP Chemistry). This means that I have hardly any time to write my fics.

On the plus side, though, my school offers a superb set of engineering and science courses, which will be helpful to my pursuit of a career as an aerospace engineer. To common folk, that can be referred to as a rocket scientist. Some kids dream about being the first person on Mars or living on the moon or simply going into space. While I don't deny I'd also take pleasure in the first and third of those, any desire to fulfill such a dream of mine is overshadowed by my ambition to design the vehicles that are used in space travel. My goal in life is to help create the spacecraft that will ferry the first people to Mars, Europa, or Titan. I want to contribute to humanity's endless journey throughout the universe by leaving my mark on the technology used in the journey in a manner similar but not identical to how Tsar Peter the Great of Russia contributed to his empire's emergence as a naval power by personally building his navy's ships and instructing his navy's sailors. I plan to spend the remainder of high school learning about advanced physics, engineering, and even chemistry in order to give myself a basic understanding of the details of the career I am pursuing. I then plan to apply for a school renowned for its engineering program; Purdue University is number one on my list for a number of reasons. Other schools I plan on applying for are the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Cornell University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and perhaps even the Massachusetts Institute of Technology just to see how large and how red of a font they use to say "NO!" After I get into college, ideally Purdue, I will attend college until I receive a Master's Degree in aerospace engineering, however long that takes. After I earn a Master's, I will try to earn a job at NASA, or at least a government contractor, so that I can participate in the designing of the vehicles that traverse the greatest and widest sea, space.

I have a wide variety of interests. Deal with it. They're listed in an random order below.

Though my family owns neither a sailboat nor a lakehouse, I have notwithstanding developed a passion for sailing small vessels. The almost singular majority of my experience is from sailing JY 15s, which have taught me that sailing is the most relaxing, blissful activity in the world. Though my access to this activity is almost embarrassingly limited, I nevertheless pounce on every opportunity to skipper a sailboat and enjoy the freedom of one of the most ancient and, as such, perfected, sports in the world.

I've been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember, i.e., before the "Special Editions" came out. I am too much of a Star Wars nerd for my own good. I have an entire part of my room dedicated solely and entirely to Star Wars crap, even though only a quarter of it really qualifies as crap.

And...

Laugh at me if you want, but I am very into Pokémon, and have been since I got Yellow on the Easter after it came out. Though I only like it for nostalgia now, as its current quality is...lacking. Seriously. At least the anime, which jumped the shark a very long time ago.

Plus...

Running series I particularly like

Heroes (though unless Volume Five lives up to its title of "Redemption" my interest in this program could peter out to nothingness)

Star Wars

Ender

Fullmetal Alchemist

Gundam

Final Fantasy

Pokémon games

NOT the Pokémon anime.

I write Pokémon fanfiction is for two reasons:

1: Because I think the games are excellent. As anyone who's read Master Chronicles has noticed, I make my story more game-based than the anime actually is, because I like the games a heck of a lot more than I like the anime. Writing in the anime universe is really just a crutch I use so that I don't have to make my own setting from scratch for an OC-filled, game-based fic. Some people, like Emperor Kra Frostwing, are good at making their own settings. I'm not.

2: Nostalgia for both when the anime was good, and when I was young enough to enjoy it. I'm just not the kind of guy who lets go easily, so I'm very nostalgic. I've never seen a single, entire episode after Season 5, when it started to be a pile of bantha droppings (I've used that analogy to describe its current status several times), because I just...loathed it. I have seen clips on the internet, (such as this one scene with Hikari and Shinji), and I wanted to claw my eyes out. I wish the anime would just die already. Then maybe more people will respect the games, like I do.

One thing that bugs me is when people neglect the accent mark over the e in Pokémon. Some people don't care. I do.

Basically, I like a lot of things. Some might say I have too many interests. But I still don't have a life.

Lists

Some of my all-time favorite books, in no particular order:

- 2010: Odyssey Two, by Arthur C. Clarke

- Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer

- The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury

- Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury

- War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells (Regarding the movies, the 1940s version is pretty good, and the 2000s version was abysmal)

- 2061: Odyssey Three, by Arthur C. Clarke

- The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien

- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne

- Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

- The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer

- Vacuum Diagrams by Stephen Baxter

I also enjoy the following series:

- Lord of the Rings

- Rama

- Space Odyssey

- Anything by H. G. Wells, delightful pessimist that he is.

- Ender saga

- Artemis Fowl

- Harry Potter

- The Edge Chronicles, which I guarantee you've never heard of

- Star Wars EU

- Foundation

- History textbooks (sadly, I'm only half-joking)

- I used to like to "read" atlases, but eventually I came to the point where I didn't need to refer to them anymore. I had memorized the entire atlas of the world. Really.

Weirdest novel I've ever read:

I feel compelled to award this distinction to a book that is so unorthodox, so unique, so obfuscating, so bizarre, that I cannot rank it in the same system I use to judge whether I like a book or not, nor am I able to determine its quality in the same scale as I use to measure other books' quality:

- Shadowmancer by G. P. Taylor

Some video games I like:

- Xenogears
Beating this game is like my pet project. It's just taking so unprecedentedly long--I expect at least a hundred hours of gameplay at this rate. It's even more unending than the last level of...

- Portal
Holds the record for longest single level (No. 19), as far as I can tell.

- Pokémon--but only the "Main Sequence" games, as I call them: RBY/GSC/RSE/DPPt

- Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest

- The Legend of Zelda (NES)

- Mario, but not as much as others.

- Final Fantasy IV (and I - IX)
I consider Final Fantasy IV to be the best Final Fantasy. This is a case where IV > VI > VII.

- Tactics subseries within Final Fantasy

- Advance Wars series

- Metroid series

I dislike most first-person shooters, particularly Gears of War. Two exceptions are Perfect Dark and Goldeneye 007, both on the N64.

Some my favorite movies.

- 2001: A Space Odyssey

- Star Wars series

- Lord of the Rings series

- The Dark Knight

- Castle in the Sky

- Steamboy

- Moon

Honorable Mention: Spaceballs. It's just so ridiculous.

Some of my favorite anime:

- Evangelion

- Gundam

- Code Geass--but only the first season. The second season was painfully cliched.

- Outlaw Star

- Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

- .hack//SIGN

My all-time favorite manga:

1.) Fullmetal Alchemist

2.) Everything else is crap compared to FMA. The emphasis being on the words "compared to".

Manga that I like but cannot be compared to FMA:

- Code Geass

- Death Note

- One Piece

- Bleach

- Chrono Crusade

- D.Grey-Man

Shipping Notes

Here's something that I think is a big issue on this site:

Keep characters in relationships consistent with their canon sexual orientation. Though I long ago abandoned reading and writing shipping fanfiction, I am nonetheless disgusted by hormonal pre-teens who indulge their fantasies by manipulating one of the most personal and irrevocable attributes of one's person--and then posting it on the internet for all to witness.

Quotes I like:

"Highly advanced technology will be indistinguishable from magic." -Arthur C. Clarke.

"Nevermore." -The raven.

"You spoony bard!" -Sage Telah, addressing Edward the Bard in Final Fantasy IV.

My current projects are my myriad school assignments. When you get to high school, there's no escape. I'm probably going to cut Heirs to the Forest short. Not cancel, oh no. Just end swiftly. Master Chronicles may suffer the same fate, though that I cannot say for certain on the matter at the present time. I once had a Gundam Wing story planned for when I finished Master Chronicles, though I have since abandoned this draft after having written myself into a dead end. Perhaps I'll one day thoroughly revise the prologue and post it as a oneshot. I write chapters on a rotating basis. This means that for a few weeks I'll work on a chapter of MC, and after I finish and upload that, I'll work on the next chapter of HttF. Then it's back to MC, and so on. I promise I will finish every story I ever start, but writing takes time, and I mostly only write when I have inspiration. I'm not an eccentric writer who lives to update; I'm a nerd with many interests who does other stuff besides writing fanfiction in whatever precious minutes wherein I recognize that I have neither occupational nor educational obligations. So I don't update very often.

Additionally, as a high school student, I have severely limited free time. This year will be even more grueling than last year. If you expect nothing from me, I will fulfill your expectations.

Last note: I'm going to warn you: stay as far away as you can from my drabbles/oneshots. They are merely the dregs of my literary musings that I egested when I was bored. I don't even like them. Just so you know what you're getting into.
