About Yours Truly

I'm more or less your archetypal bookworm who read and read until she compelled to write something for herself. I created this account years ago when I was about fourteen and just beginning to get to grips with the numerous ideas floating around inside my noggin and attempting for the first time to put them down on paper (or Microsoft Word which causes significantly less soreness to your wrist and fingers). Due to school and such like I abandoned this account but now I've came back to it hopefully a little bit older and wiser and a bit more confident in my abilities. I hope this is reflected in my work now, compared to what it once was.

My ultimate ambition in life is to be an author. It's just something I've always felt drawn too from the first time I picked up a Pippo book to the time my primary school teacher asked us to write a story in class. Whether it will happen or not I still plan to have a career involving literature and if I don't hack it as an author I don't mind going towards Journalism. As a person I tend to be quite scatter-brained, a bit of a dreamer and a little insecure in my own abilities ( I did mention I was your stereotypical book worm).

Favorite Books

As a child I loved Enid Blyton and the Chronicles of Narnia. I'm also a Harry Potter geek and I am partial to Twilight when the mood takes me although often reading about Edwards general Emo-ness makes me want to give him a kick up the arse. Nowadays I've recently discovered Oscar Wilde, the Bronte sisters, Austen, Terry Pratchett and quite a few of the Shakespeare sonnets along with Bridget Jones Diary. I used to read Mangas but not so much anymore but my favourite will always be Rurouni Kenshin.

Movies and TV Programs

Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Mamma Mia, Bridget Jones Diary, Shaun of the Dead, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Hogfather, The Tudors, Hollyoaks and more than I care to name.
