Hi, TeenQueen. I plan to write a story that features characters from two fictional franchises: W.I.T.C.H. and ThunderCats. ThunderCats is a cartoon from the 1980s with 130 episodes to boot. Currently it's out on DVD. W.I.T.C.H. is going strong in the comic world, but its cartoon counterpart lasted for 52 episodes. I'm worried that I'll screw my story up if I don't have all the characters straight. What kind of advice do you have for me?

Well, my advice to you is that if you're doing a crossover fanfic, you should know about all the characters personalities first. Then, as you plan out and write your story, take it one step at a time. Try not to write a whole chapter in one day. Stories don't necessarily have to be updated until at least a week. Write a bit, then stop, and save it. If you have writer's block, save what you have and come back to it after a bit. Sometimes I go reread what I've wrote after a couple of days, and I can catch some mistakes and changes to be fixed that I wouldn't have caught the day I wrote it.

The trick is not to cram all your ideas in at once, which can cause confusion and have reviewers asking who, what where, when, why, and how? Focus on a couple of characters at a time, and you're guaranteed not to mess up. Character research doesn't hurt either.

And if in need for more advice, I'll be waiting to answer.

MISS UNIVERSE 2009 UPDATE! :D

In case you haven't heard, the Miss Universe 2009 pageant took place last night at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. It was broadcast live at 9PM EST and the telecast lasted for two hours. Congratulations to Stefania Fernandez - Miss Universe 2009 from Venezuela! :D It's the first time in Miss Universe history that a country won two years in a row!! :D :D :D
