Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, Stargate: SG-1, Gundam Seed, and Ace Combat. I think it's about time I updated this information. AtrumUnas A short biography actually tells quite a bit about me. I'm fourteen years old, soon to be fifteen. My favorite passtimes are designing fictional technologies and writing fan fiction. Although, I've been doing more of the former than the latter recently, sorry guys. I started writing fan fiction on... December 15, 2007. Huh, that was the date of my first Nordic Ski Race... that race got canceled because we didn't have any snow... I also just noticed that the last time I updated my profile was a year after I finished my first story. man, time flies. Anyway, I guess I started writing fan fiction as a thirteen year old. I'll be honest, I wasn't very good starting out. But, people encouraged me, mostly because they didn't know me. The reviews I got in those early months helped me unbelievably to keep writing. Now I have Emancipation, which I took an hour or so out of my day to look all the way through the Harry Potter Sci-Fi genre and determined that, at the time, it was the second-most popular story on the entire site! I know I probably shouldn't brag about it, but Emancipation had over 600 reviews, which is second place in said department. It was only behind Fighting the Gods by Phoenix Catcher. Now the cross-over section had appeared and both stories have been transfered to it. I have no diea where my baby stands right now, but at the time, I was pretty proud of myself. Phoenix Catcher is practically a god at Sci-Fi writing; I hold no remorse being second to her/him. My self-stated specialty in creative writing is Science Fiction. I'm way better at it than anything else, though I do dabble in fantasy every now and again. I haven't published anything of that nature yet, but when I do, you guys won't regret reading it... okay, maybe you will but I'm getting off-topic. As I said, science fiction is my haven for writing. I can toy with all kinds of little ideas that may never work, try out writing styles any way I want without worrying about those inconsequential things like physics. My second story, Emancipation, is basically the place where I try out different ideas on my unknowing guinea pigs to see how they react. Alongside writing fan fiction, my main writing project is a science fiction novel I started writing about the same time I started fan fiction. You wouldn't believe how many ideas in that started out as ideas in Emancipation; I can think of a half dozen off the top of my head. I love doing this stuff; it's my respite from the rest of the dull world. Fan fiction, to me, is a place where anything and everything can happen, but only if you want them to happen. It's something you can do for fun and never really worry about consequences. No one is ever going to reprimand you for writing a fan fiction, unless you do one of those bad things in the DON'Ts section of the TOA. That's why so much of my life is dedicated to fan fiction. Hell, I've consistently stated that I read 100,000 words of fan fiction per week. That's a hell of a record if I've ever seen one, especially since I actually write during the week as well. Anyway, here comes the infamous favorite quote section. I don't really feel like looking everything up right now so I'll just stick with the bare minimum of what I can remember. Here we go! If life gives you lemons, make grape juice and then let the world wonder how you did it. - unknown to me Life isn't always about living your life. Sometimes it's about making sure that others live, even at the expense of your own life. - AtrumUnas Let me confirm; your shelter's shield is activated? There's no mercy in war; people live and people die, that's all there is to it. - Larry "Solo Wing Pixy" Foulke, Ace Combat Zero A name reflects its owner's nature. But, what if a name is merely a fake? If something goes by a false name, wouldn't it mean that thing is fake? False by nature? Is that what it would mean? - Gilbert Durandal, Gundam Seed Destiny Live every day of your life without regret. Then, when all's said and done, tell the guy at the Pearly Gates that that's exactly what you did. If that can't get you into heaven, why does it even exist in the first palce? - AtrumUnas Why torment yourself with "Eventually", "Someday"? How long have your thoughts been clouded by that brand of sweet poison? - Rau Le Crueset, Gundam Seed The road to hell is paved with good intentions. - Unknown to me Some say that 'evil prevails when good men fail to act'. It should say 'evil prevails'. - Yuri Orlov, Lord of War If you end up dying to save a life, will your life have been worth something? Or was your life worth more than the life you saved? Was your death then a waste? Or was it worth it to you that your life needed to be sacrificed so that another could keep on living? - AtrumUnas, never used in context Closing Statement I love what I do; I really love it. If I wasn't a writer here, I never would have had the state of mind to create the quotes you saw above. I never would have had the mindset to push further into the unknown, to try new things, to fight for what I believe in, and to find what it is I should be fighting for. Nothing has ever changed me so much as fan fiction has. So, I say this to you Fanfiction.net: thank you. | |||||||||||
