Author has written 13 stories for Song of the Lioness, Harry Potter, Sky High, X-Men: Evolution, X-Men, and Fairy Tales. I WON NANOWRIMO '07! I shall post my novel (hee! I have a novel) on Fictionpress sometime in January, after I edit it. Hello, hello. I am Roxanne, otherwise known as Underlined Twice. I am a 16-year-old animation/computer graphics major who has never let go of her guilty love of fanfiction. Most of my stories are one-shots because I can't seem to finish anything longer (except my novel! hee!). I am working to correct this situation with my X-Men story "Base Noir" (and my novel!). ...I would say more, but I don't want to jinx it. So, onward! Favourite authors/books: Neil Gaiman, Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters/500 Kingdoms series, Eva Ibbotson, Tamora Pierce, Harry Potter (obviously). Favourite perfume: Dee from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, or Fall by WoobieBath. Seriously, people. Go check them out. (I smell like the best library in the world now!) Favourite bands/music-people: The Smiths, the Decemberists, Belle and Sebastian, Marit Bergman, Joanna Newsom, Jenny Lewis. Favourite ships: ...I'll read just about any romance that's well-written, but I'm not exactly fond of Sirius or Remus with Hermione. My favourite pairings, however, are Hermione/Snape, Sirius/Remus, Katie/Percy, Draco/Ginny and Neville/Luna. I'm also a fan of Tonda, Kiotr and Pietro/Anyone. And... yeah. That's it. "Fire In Winter" is on hiatus until I finish "Base Noir". I recently reread what I had so far (for all my outlines make no sense two years later) and I still really like it. I will attempt to finish it someday. Until then! Stories I Recommend (that are not on FF.net): The Shoebox Project: The best piece of fanfiction I've ever read. A series of letters, notes, photos and prose detailing the Marauders' time at Hogwarts from the summer between 5th and 6th year up to...well, as of now it's the summer after 7th year. Very funny. And finally with some Sirius/Remus action. Incomplete When Curiosity Met Insanity: It's like Shoebox in the pictures/narrative, but this also has comics and stuff. It's about Alice and the Mad Hatter and it's all set at Disneyland! It's hilarious and I can only hope to be as talented as these people. It updates about once a month. Incomplete Obscurus - Echo: The mainpage for the author Echo. Her work comes in at a very close second to the Shoebox. She has written Absolutely Spiffing, A Bit of the Dark Sinister and I Have Never Felt Your Fear. She has also written numerous Buffy/Angel crossovers, but I don't understand those because I don't watch the shows. She's recently published her first original novel "In Shadowside", which was very good, but desperately in need of a decent editor. Thanks you : bows : for your precious time. | |||||||||||||
