Hi. My name's Potterworm. If you're wondering where the heck I got that name, like all my friends were when I told them it, it's actually quite simple. I'm a Harry Potter fan, and I'm a bookworm. Hence, Potterworm.

I write on multiple Harry Potter fansites. All my stories get posted here first though. If you see my stories on another site, it'll still be under this name. It's still me.

If you're looking for personal information on me, you won't be getting it. I'm happy to answer PMs about fanfiction and related topics, but I don't give my email address out. I do, however, check my email often, so I'll see PMs quickly.

A Child No More was my first, and hopefully last attempt at fanfiction poetry. Be warned, I'm no poet. I just don't have the willpower to delete it. I got quite a few nice reviews that I now cherish.

But It Breaks Your Heart is still one of my favorite stories I've ever written. It's a one-shot about Petunia's feelings towards Harry. It's written entirely in the second person point of view in the present tense. Corpus_christi from the harrypotterfanfiction forums betaed the story for me. She did a great job.

The Price of Existence was my first attempt at writing a characterization of the relationship between Snape and Harry.

Disbelief to the Highest Degree is a rewrite of the second story I ever began to post on this site, Guilt and Grief - which is now deleted. If someone came into Harry's room, claiming to be Sirius back from the dead, how would Harry react? This one-shot was betaed by cedrixfan from the harrypotterfanfiction forums.

And I'm... (in Isolation) is a one-shot written from Lily Potter's point of view, about the night Voldemort attacked. It's meant to be a bit prose-y with her thoughts scattered and moving all over the place. My beta for this one-shot was meeeeera from the harrypotterfanfiction forums.

Masked is a first person point of view story about Sirius running away from home. I find that the fandom often exaggerates events, so I wrote this story about it being 'the last straw' and not some big abusive dramatic event. It is betaed by cedrixfan from the harrypotterfanfiction forums.

Drifting is a first person point of view one-shot told from the perspective of Alice Longbottom. It tells her story, after she was tortured into insanity. Indigo Seas and corpus_christi from the harrypotterfanfiction forums looked it over for mistakes, and they didn't find any, so I consider this the betaed version.

Coffee Sets and Kitchenettes is my only non-Harry Potter story. It's a Gilmore Girls fanfic, and it takes place post series. It's about Lorelai coming to terms with the fact that Rory is an adult, all grown up.

Deepest Fear Revealed was my very first story. The plot had potential, but it just lost wind as I went. If you want proof that writers improve, read this, and then read my more recent stuff. (I was planning on deleting it, but I can't stand the thought of deleting that many reviews.)

Deepest Fear Revealed: Rewritten is my attempt at salvaging the concept of Deepest Fear Revealed. If Harry was abused, if Harry faced a different boggart, if Lupin took a bigger interest in his life, if... what if? It is still a work in progress. I don't update consistantly, though I have no plans to abandon it. (If I do, one day, decide I'm giving up on this story, I'll post a notice on my profile.) The prologue and chapter one were betaed by Lunicle, a member of the harrypotterfanfiction forums. MetalCloud is now betaing the entire story (and each chapter she betas will be marked with her name.)

Now that I've given my little self-pimping story summaries (it's my profile, what'd you expect?) I should mention that I've created a C2 called Harry is abused. It seems I mainly read angsty abused!Harry stories, so I decided to make a collection of them. It's not just Dursley abuse, it's a teacher abusing him, boyfriend abusing him, girlfriend abusing him, you name it. They're some of the best of the site, so please read. If you have a recommendation for a story, feel free to PM me. I may not add it, because it is primarily about my personal taste in stories, but I won't be a jerk about it either. I appreciate recs either way. Please give the title and the author and/or the direct link to the story. I'm not looking for any staff for my C2, however, if someone is interested in having me be on your own C2's staff, I'll probably do it if I'm interested in that type of story, so please just PM me.

My beta projects include having betaed all of chapter 1 and part of chapter 2 of pottercomplete's story, Harry Potter and the Ancient Shrine of Providence. Currently, I'm working with girlface on some of her Gilmore Girls stories.

Outside of writing fanfiction, I do work on original stories. I've been published in a nonprofit magazine, and I'm in the process of submitting a story to some other magazines. I also wrote a novel, last November, when I participated in National Novel Writing Month. I finished my novel at 54,610 words. Recently, I finished rewriting the novel from scratch - improving characterization, expanding on certain scenes, deleting unnecessary chapters, etc. That left me with a word count of approximately 59,000 words.

10-11-09 I am the worst updater in the history of updaters, I know... but I'm still here, and I still have an outline for DFR:R saved on my computer, so... I guess that means there's hope for an ending being written.
