Author has written 33 stories for Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls, Mentalist, Mercy, Degrassi, House, M.D., Catcher in the Rye, and Against the Wall. Hi! My name’s Potterworm (though since you clicked on my profile, I’m assuming you know that.) If you’re wondering where I got my pen name from, it’s actually pretty simple. I’m a Harry Potter fan and a bookworm. Hence, Potterworm. My Stories Cop is my first completed chapter-length story. It's also the first fanfiction written for Lifetime's TV show Against the Wall. Broken Eggs is a Gilmore Girls Kirk centric story. Not my norm, I know, but I couldn't resist. Running in a Circle is an alternate ending to The Catcher in the Rye. Bare is my first House MD fanfic. It's a one-shot. Never Feel the Break is a different type of Harry Potter one-shot for me, so I hope you all like it. My first romantic type Harry Potter story. His Last Chapter is a Harry Potter one-shot. Enough is a new fandom for me - Degrassi: The Next Generation. I've been watching the repeat episodes as they air, and I kept thinking about the story I really wish someone would write. No one did, so I wrote it myself. It's complete. Bad Spells is an incredibly short Gilmore Girls drabble. I may continue it someday, I may not, but for now, it's complete. Eventually is a Gilmore Girls one-shot, inspired by a Support Stacie Author Auction prompt from mag1. (And if you don’t know what the Support Stacie Author Auction is - you should do an internet search, or just PM me, and I’d be happy to explain it.) It’s rather short, I know. Candid is the Gilmore Girls one-shot I ended up writing for mag1 for the April Support Stacie Author Auction. Eventually didn’t seem to be working out as a longer one-shot, so I ended up switching to this story and writing it for mags instead. Her request, if you’re curious, was for a story about Lorelai, the night she finds out about April. Mags1, thankfully, loved this story. Candid is one-hundred percent complete. I have no plans to continue it. Four Names That Were Never Hyphenated and One That Was is a little series of Harry Potter drabbles. It will have - eventually- five chapters, one of which is already posted. I have no idea when I’ll finish this, to be honest. Kbinnz is my beta for this project. Chosen is a Harry Potter one-shot written for Southern Amateur for the April Support Stacie Author Auction. Southern Amateur gave me an open prompt, so I could write whatever I wanted. I’d been reading a lot of veela, Harry/Draco fics, and this was in response to those, and my cynical belief that Harry and Draco would not live happily ever after if forced into a relationship. Like Some Kind of Poetry is a Gilmore Girls one-shot. It’s definitely complete. It's been betaed by Schuyler Lola. (A Lack of) Happiness is a completed Gilmore Girls one-shot. Though I’m sure there’s a bigger story to tell here, I have no plans to continue this. Schuyler Lola looked this story over for me as a beta, but couldn't find any errors. How cool is that? Expectations is a completed Harry Potter one-shot. It’s a bit of a different writing style for me, but I like it. Shadows of Self is a completed Gilmore Girls one-shot. It’s actually one of my favorite stories I’ve written. It's been betaed by Schuyler Lola. Messages is a completed, drabble Gilmore Girls fic that I couldn’t resist writing. It’s honestly just a series of phone messages. If it wasn’t for my phobia of season seven Gilmore Girls, I probably would write a complimentary fic for it. Left Behind Pieces is my only Mercy fanfic. Mercy was a great little, under-appreciated medical drama. Science is a Gilmore Girls one-shot. Since it’s about April, and I really can’t take her in anything other than tiny quantities, this fic is definitely complete. Lack is my only Mentalist fanfic. It’s definitely complete. Bottle Understanding is a Harry Potter one-shot. It was fueled by my desire to see a strictly teacher/student relationship between Harry and Snape. Bonds is a Gilmore Girls one-shot. It’s complete. Coffee Sets and Kitchenettes is a Gilmore Girls one-shot. It was my very first foray into this fandom, so it will always be near and dear to my heart. Schuyler Lola betaed it for me. Drifting is a Harry Potter one-shot, told from Alice Longbottom’s point of view. It’s a rather different story for me, so I’m quite fond of it. I had it looked over by Indigo Seas and corpus_christi from the harrypotterfanfiction forums, but neither of them found any mistakes, so I consider this the final, completed draft. Deepest Fear Revealed: Rewritten is an incomplete Harry Potter story. I'm not going to call in abandoned, as I do still have the files for it on my computer and I might continue writing it someday. I don't, however, consider that likely. This was the rewritten version of Deepest Fear Revealed, which I started writing in 2007. I had almost no writing experience back then, and while I'll always be grateful for this story, I can't see myself finishing it anytime. My writing style has developed and changed immensely since then. The fic has been partially betaed by Lunicle, a member of the harrypotterfanfiction forums, and MetalCloud. (The betaed chapters are labeled with the beta’s name.) I still appreciate the reviews, favorites, and alerts for this story, and I still read every one of them. Much appreciation, because if it wasn't for this story, I probably would have never developed confidence as a writer. Masked is a Harry Potter one-shot, betaed by cedrixfan from the harrypotterfanfiction forums. Definitely completed, with no plans for a continuation. And I’m… (In Isolation) is a completed Harry Potter one-shot, from what seems like forever ago. It was my first step into a different writing style, so I’m always going to love it. The poetic feel to it and the grammar!fail, with starting so many sentences with and, was intentional. My beta for this one-shot was meeeeera from the harrypotterfanfiction forums. Disbelief to the Highest Degree is a completed Harry Potter one-shot. Most of you probably don’t realize this, but it’s a rewrite of a now-deleted fanfic I was writing on this site about the same time I first posted the original Deepest Fear Revealed. The story was Guilt and Grief and very bad. This rewrite, hopefully, is less horrible. It was betaed by cedrixfan from the harrypotterfanfiction forums. The Price of Existence is a completed Harry Potter drabble about Snape and Harry’s canon relationship. But It Breaks Your Heart is a completed Harry Potter one-shot. Despite being one of the first one-shots I ever wrote, it’s still one of my favorites, just because it’s so different than what I normally write, what with it being written entirely in the second person point of view, present tense. Corpus_christi from the harrypotterfanfiction forums betaed the story for me. A Child No More is a Harry Potter poem. It was my first and, hopefully, my last attempt at fanfiction poetry. Honestly, the only reason I still have it posted is because of all the nice reviews I got for it. I can’t bear to delete them. Deepest Fear Revealed was my very first fanfiction, and it was for Harry Potter. It’s… quite bad. In fact, if you’re feeling self-conscious and need a confidence booster and some hope that you can improve, read this story and then read my latest stuff. See - writers do improve! Don't you feel better now? I actually planned to delete this when I started the rewritten version, but people begged me to leave it up. (Though God only knows why, lol.) Plus, I can’t stand the thought of deleting that many reviews. Communities I have a community called Harry is abused. Blunt, right? I’m terribly obsessed with angsty abused!Harry stories, so I made this community to put them all in one place. It’s not just Dursley abuse either; it’s anyone. Sometimes it’s also abandonment stories or strong neglect stories. If you have a recommendation for a story to be included, feel free to PM me.
