One question. Is it sad that the first thing that caught your attention about an anime was a voice you randomly heard while flipping through channels? Well if it weren't for hearing a certain voice -coughfavoritecharactercough- I would've never began watching Dragon Ball Z which means I may have never read/watched any manga / anime…

1. Piccolo (How could I not love him?! His strong, handsome, overly protective of Gohan and best of all he's green! Who cares if he's asexual...)

This is the famous series which spawned my curiosity in manga of which I'm now addicted! This series has everything one can wish for - action, adventure, comedy, plot twist, romance, tragedy, etc…

I first came across this anime while randomly watching AMVs on YouTube, but I was quickly hooked! I just can't ignore all of the humorous moments between the Sohma family XD

1. Ayame Sohma (Ah my wonderful, over-dramatic snake...)

3. Ritsu Sohma (I really thought he was a girl at first T.T Although him being a cross-dresser is all the better!)

Fushigi Yuugi
This is the first anime I have ever read fanfictions about before even knowing anything about the series! Oddly enough, the fanfictions I read were all based on a certain character -coughchichiricough- who rather fascinated me.

Great Teacher Onizuka
This is an anime made for my elder brother! It's all centered around a 22 year old virgin male who becomes a teacher for the sole purpose of being surrounded by High School girls... however he gets stuck with a class who wants nothing more than to see him get fired and will try anything and everything to make sure that happens.
My favorites from this series are as follows:
1. Noboru Yoshikawa (The "runt" of class 3-4; the only one who doesn't want to get Onizuka fired which leads to him being bullied by the rest of his class...)

Kyo Kara Maoh!
I believe that I was addicted to this anime for about 2 years before it finally came to America... I had been researching shounen-ai/Yaoi when I came across a Japanese link with all of the info about this anime after which I began my search, sadly coming up empty for two straight years T.T I had nearly forgotten about it altogether when, while searching the new release section of SamGoody's, I saw the title. Everyone in the store heard my squeal XD
My favorites of this series are as follows:

1. Wolfram von Bielefelt (He's conceited and can be very dangerous while jealous, but he's one of the hottest anime boys ever created! Any male would turn gay to get a chance with him, and yet Yuuri still refuses the engagement...)

2. Ken Murata (He's so uke-ish it isn't funny!)

3. Josak (Strong, loyal, brave, can escape from practically anything... and a damn good cross-dresser!)

Ah sadly I believe the creator was against me on this anime / manga... All of my favorite character either die, turn out to be villains or has something terrible happen to them T.T

Ouran High School Host Club
This anime/manga is mainly about a girl who gets mistaken for a boy which leads her to become a Host after accidentally breaking an 8 million yen vase which was suppose to go up for auction.
My favorite characters of this series are as follows:
1. Umehito Nekozawa (President of the Black Magic Club who is seemingly terrified of the light and casts "curses" on anyone who gets on his bad side such as Tamaki who stepped on his Cat Puppet Beelzenef)
2. Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin
3. Tamaki Suoh (He's like the child Yuuri and Wolfram never had...)

Pilot Candidate/Candidate For Goddess
My favorite characters of this series are as follows:
1. Hiead Gner (Candidate 87, one of the three people free of atomic. He's a total jerk who ignores everyone except for Zero whom he regards as a rival and goes out of his way to anger. Can anyone say crush?)
2. Gareas (He's a perfect mix between Hiead and Zero's personalities!)

Rurouni Kenshin

This anime/manga is based loosely on the Chinese legend called "Journey to the West". It's chalk full of hidden shounen-ai moments!
My favorite characters from this series are as follows:
1. Cho Hakkai (A man who became a demon after murdering over one thousand demons while trying to rescue his sister/lover)
2. Chin Iisou (Ah I use to hate him so much until I saw lonelydragonswish's art... now I can't get enough of him! Why, oh why, did they have to kill him off?!)

Shuffle!

The basic story line of this anime/manga/game follows the romantic life of Rin Tsuchimi who finds himself being sought after a variety of girls. Rin soon finds himself as the potential marriage candidate for both the daughters of the Kings ruling over the gods and the demons... add to this his two childhood friends and another girl from the demon realm.

1. Forbesii (The effeminate King of Demons... he's so uke-ish I couldn't help but love him!)

One of my most watched animes and most read mangas _
My favorite characters of this series are as follows:
1. Hiei (Offspring of an Koorime and an fire demon, he was given the title of "Forbidden Child" and, as an infant, was thrown from the Koorime's floating island. He cares deeply for his younger sister though she does not know that he is her brother and he refuses to tell her otherwise; he even goes so far as to threaten those who know about them not to tell her.)
