hi all!
well, I've written my first fanfic! I hope you like it. I've never been very good at writing so I was quite impressed I've got such great responses!
I'd like to tell you a little something..
when I was sitting my GCSE English at school I had a pompous, obnoxious teacher. he had written a book and it had been published and his head was stuck so far up his rear end about it... it honestly was unbelievable! anyway, this teacher of mine, well he really was only interested in those who were good at the subject. basically if you weren't already a grade A student going into his class, you were pretty much ignored. Me? I struggled to get C's, not because I didn't try, but because my brain just isn't wired that way - I'm more wired towards Maths and Science and Art (what you get for being born to two scientists i guess!)
anyway, I always despised this teacher of mine, he once even laughed in my face at one of my essays I had tried so desperately hard at. I frequently went home complaining about this man. Of course my parents thought I was just blowing it all out of proportion. It came parents evening and we sat down in front of said English teacher and he looked at my mother and said "if Laurie tries really really really hard she MIGHT just scrape a C"
so back to the point... for the last 10 years I've had such low self esteem about my writing abilities because of this man, and reading all the wonderfully amazing reviews from you guys really makes me so happy I really can't describe it to you! so, if you've taken a few seconds out to review my work, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, it does mean so much to me.
