Author has written 12 stories for Tokyo Mew Mew, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gakuen Alice, Avatar: Last Airbender, Naruto, and Sailor Moon. About Me Hey, everyone! I'm Gingeh :D. I'm a girl, I turn sixteen on the 12th of June (Bleh, I hate growing up. I wish I could've frozen time for me at, like, six) and I live in Florida, the official State of No Snow - not that I usually mind, because it means I can go to the beach in January. But still, it's be nice to have about a week or two a year of snowy weather. I have two dogs named Brownie and Pumpkin (I was 7 when we got them, I wasn't very creative!), a sister named Rina, and two guinea pigs named Prize and Daphne. Before you ask, yes, I grouped my sister in with my pets intentionally. Don't tell her :P I'm a huge fan of anime and manga, and I watch and read whenever I can (which isn't often, let me tell you. School is evil). I've been obsessed since about August of 2007, so it's been a while now, and I've been through a lot of it. Name anything Japanese entertainment related, and I've probably either seen it, read it, or at the very least heard of it and put it on my waiting list. I love writing, though I'm probably not very good, and I like to draw, despite the fact that I'm pretty bad at anything other then people, and even those are just so-so. More then half of my life is spent online, and more then half of THAT time is spent here on FF.net =D. I like to think of myself as a friendly person, and I love to talk, so feel free to PM me anytime. ;D Blog September 29, 2009: I've been experiencing major technical difficulties D=. In August, my laptop broke. When we sent it in to be fixed, they replaced my harddrive - and I lost all my stories. This was extremely upsetting for me, and it took me about two weeks to get over that and focus on re-writing all my stuff. And then, my laptop broke AGAIN. Yes, I'm serious. So my grandfather bought me a shiny, brand-new laptop, which I love to pieces and have no problems with - except that we had to buy a new Microsoft Word edition, and that took a week, and then I had to re-type my stories ALL OVER AGAIN. So I'm really sorry that 'Secret Memories' doesn't have a new chapter up yet, but I promise you, I'm doing the best I can. May 14, 2009: I know, I know. The whole 'posting more stories' thing didn't really work out. I tried! Really, I did! But the end of the year crept up on me, and before I knew it, I was so worn out from studying and test-taking that I had absolutely no energy left, let alone that of the creative variety. I do have a Hana-Kimi thing written up somewhere, but it's not very long, only about a thousand words or so (no, it's not just a picture - sorry, sorry, bad pun! xDD), and it's also more chapter-y then oneshot-y. But don't give up on me! Once summer comes around, I'll be writing up a storm ;D March 26, 2009: I've read almost all the books in the 'Maximum Ride' series now - they were awesome! I mean, the first one was kind of dark and creepy in some places, but in general, it was okay. And everything only got better! Currently, this is my second-favorite series (I count all of Tamora Pierce's books as one series, though ;P). I highly recommend them =O March 11, 2009: I've started reading the 'Maximum Ride' series - Rina has been telling me to read it for years, and I finally got around to finishing the first book. It wasn't bad - very dark and creepy in some places, but strong characters, original plot...I've already requested the other three books in the series. ;D March 7, 2009: I have a new poll up, guys! It's a lot like the last one, but with a couple more choices and no 'something else entirely' option ;P. So vote, please! I could really use your help! March 3, 2009: I am so flipping out right now! Okay, so Rina was surfing the Web, when she suddenly stumbled across a five-minute preview for a HANA-KIMI JDRAMA SPECIAL EPISODE!! I had no idea there was one, and I freaked out. So Rina found the full version, and she and I watched it together. It took forever to buffer, and then it kept freezing - but it was so worth it. For one thing, they totally brought in Julia!! JULIA!! She was one of my favorite characters from the manga, and I was so disappointed when she didn't make and appearance in the JDrama - UNTIL NOW!! ANd there were so many other awesome bits - Sano with Nakatsu vision, Mizuki almost drowning (guess who preforms CPR...8DD), and even an epilogue where the dorm heads (and Hibari, for some reason O-o) graduate. Oooh, it was awesome -sighs dreamily-. I think I'm going to have to go back and re-re-re-watch the JDrama...and re-re-re-RE-read the manga. Yes, Hana-Kimi is that good. January 22, 2009: You know what I said in the 'About Me' section about wanting a week or two of snowy weather a year? FORGET. IT. The last few days here have been below 40 degrees, and, apparently, our heater is broken and, to top it all off, I've caught the flu, with a sore throat, coughing, runny nose, and a fever of over 101 -sniffles-. I couldn't take weather any colder then it is right now, even for snow. What's so great about that stuff anyway? Frozen water, that's all it is. I can find that in our freezer in the ice bucket. -huddles self in more blankets- January 18, 2009: Okay, so I first discovered Prince of Tennis a long time ago, when I saw it late one night on Cartoon Network - the dubbed version, obviously. This was actually so long ago, I hadn't really discovered anime yet, so I just thought it was a normal cartoon. I only saw one or two episodes before they moved it to a different time slot, and soon after actually removed it from the channel. Imagine my surprise when, over two years later, I discover the very same show was actually a very popular Japanese anime, and that I could watch it with voice actors way better then the ones I'd heard before. So I got to about episode 30 before discovering the Magical Girl genre of anime, and dropping PoT in favor of Mermaid Melody. Well, after I worked my way through the entire list of Magical Girl anime, I went back and began to re-watch it. SHortly afterwards I discovered that, like most anime, it actually had a manga! ...Only then, after reading several fanfictions and successfully spoiling the ending of both the anime AND the manga for myself, I found that I was very unsatisfied with the way they both ended and, once again, stopped watching. But recently (as in, yesterday), I found out that the manga is actually going to have a SEQUEL, beginning this March. After a bit of happy dancing, I began to continue watching the series from the episode where I left off. Wish me luck in actually finishing this time! October 3, 2008: I have another story out! It's FMA, with the pairing of RoyAi, of course. I know it's no TMM fic, but at least it's something, right? September 1, 2008: Guess what? I'm sunburned again! Yay! It actually doesn't hurt as badly this time, but apparently it's worse to look at then my last one. Both Mom, Dad, and Nica's mom gave me a lecture about how getting sunburned is very very very bad and I'll get skin cancer when I turn 34, blah blah blah. Rina averts her eyes, and groans, 'ewwww!' every time she sees my back/shoulders. Then again, she has peeling-skin-ophobia, so she's probably not the best judge. August 21, 2008: Oh. My gosh. HANA KIMI GOT A NEW CHAPTER!! -fangirl scream- -dies- It was supposed to be complete! But they added an extra chapter! -happydanceofdoom- It actually got added waaaaaay earlier in August, but since I don't generally check...I'm so happy! -dies again- August 15, 2008: Meiyuu has officially hit the 5000 word mark. Huh. I didn't mean for it to get this long...heh-heh. Oh, well. Too late now. It might end up being a two-shot instead of a one-shot, just because it's so long. And it's not even done yet! August 7, 2008: I finally have a new story out! It's a 500-word drabble, which is a new type of writing to me, as I've never written anything under 1000 words. It's an Avatar fanfic, focusing on Azula. Beware, though, there are spoilers for the final episode. August 2, 2008: Okay, July? Obviously not my writing-month. I've been working on Meiyuu a little (because that's currently leading the poll), but I'm having pretty bad writers block :(. June 29, 2008: Thank the Solstice, people, because I have another oneshot out! How awesome is that? It is Gakuen Alice, one of my favorite anime ever, and, -drumroll-, it has the most reviews out of all I've written so far! I've recently become re-obsessed with Gakuen Alice. If you haven't watched it, you totally should. Episode 16 is my favorite - Genie-Mikan is so cute!. June 9, 2008: Guess what, minna-san? It's officially summer here, the season of sunburn. Ow. This is what I get for 'forgetting' to wear sunscreen (I can't stand the stuff- it's all greasy and it smells bad, not to mention it gets all over everything! I don't know what I hate more, sunscreen or sunburn.) Rina finds my pain amusing, and keeps poking my shoulder and laughing when I scream. She's evil. I bet she's in league with the veggies. Birthday Calculator - This one kept me entertained for a few hours, typing in the birthdates of all my friends and family to see what their personalities were. Freakily enough, though the info it generated was mostly incorrect, I did manage to find at least one true piece of information in each bio. Pretty cool, ne? Harry Potter Puppet Pals - I love these. I love them so insanely much. My sister and I have watched all of them about twenty times :). These videos never fail to bring a smile to my face - but just a warning: as indicated by the name, you really need to have either read at least one Harry Potter book, or seen one of the movies, otherwise a lot of the humor will go right over your head. Random Info . I LOVE chocolate . My favorite color is blue . I love pixies, fairies, elves, sprites, etc. etc. . My favorite artists are (currently) Kotoko, the Jonas Brothers, Aiuchi Rina, and Carrie Underwood . My best friend, Nica, is so amazingly like me that it's scary . My favorite authors are Tamora Pierce, Gail Carson Levine, and Shannon Hale (although my respect for the last has dwindled lately, since I learned that she helped Stephanie Meyer with her Twilight novels T-T) . I am officially a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do - that's Korean martial arts. I've been training for about four years now. . I think 'shiny' is the best word in the dictionary. But they have it under the wrong definition...shiny can also mean 'awesome', not just 'bright or glossy in appearance'. Duh. . My favorite animal is a dolphin, my second is a monkey, and my third is a Florida Panther (look it up, people!) . I'm very flexible (I can do a full split on all three sides - right, left, and center. And I can touch my toes! ;O) . I love, love, LOVE anime, manga, and Japan in general . My favorite queen in history is Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. Look her up, she was SO cool . My least favorite queen was Guinevere, of King Arthur. Whether she was real or not, feel free to debate, but I hate her either way. I'll probably eventually type up a whole rant about her stupidity and general annoying-ness and post it here... . I basically live off of PopTarts, waffles, mac' n' cheese, and chocolate . I've moved three times since I was one, eventually ending up back in the same town I was born in . I'm usually very perky, hyper, happy, bouncy... . I never go anywhere without my iPod, even though I keep breaking the earphones (In the past year, two have gotten so worn out the wires started to show, three I stepped on, and two more the sound suddenly started only coming out of one ear O.o) . My sister calls me a hermit because I spend so much time in my room on my laptop . I find waving by your shoulder boring. Fun, hyper people wave BIG! . I think vegetables are creating an evil army that grows every time you eat one. Fruits are their allies, and together, they'll probably take over the world one day. Stupid plants... . When I was about seven, I randomly turned on the TV, and saw this adorable little girl fighting an elephant. Years and years and years later, I was watching Card Captor Sakura, and discovered the very episode I saw when I was little! ...I really wish I knew why that particular show stuck in my mind - I can't remember any specific episodes of any other stuff I watched that long ago... . I'm very polite, and I enjoy being so. And I don't really understand why everyone isn't polite - people are so much nicer to you if you are. The lady at the supermarket always gives me free cookies :D . I'm a friendly person - as long as I already have someone I know next to me. In a friendless situation, I tend to hide in a corner. In fact, that's what I did for basically my first three months of Tae Kwon Do...the corner I sat in is now forever known as 'my corner'. ;P . As a lifelong member of the Sparkle Girls, I have sworn eternal hatred against our common foe - Casey. He's not very nice, and one day, we shall destroy him! MUAHAHAHA!! . There are only three people I've ever met who I've actually disliked enough to have a real argument with (family doesn't count) . I totally have both a Pancake flavored and a S'Mores flavored lipgloss. How cool is that? . I am a Disney fangirl. I am sorry. Anime

There's just way too many to list here (184, by my last count, mostly shoujo). You'd get bored. If you really care (and probably are already bored, not to mention desperate xD), they're all listed on my Manga-updates account. Just click on the links towards the top of the page that say 'Reading List, Unfinished List' ect., to see the rest of the manga. Characters Favorite (not in order)- Chibiusa (Sailor Moon) - I absolutely despised her for most of Sailor Moon R, but I started to like her towards the end, and I loved her in later seasons. She's just so...I don't know. I just adore her for unknown reasons. Purin (Tokyo Mew Mew) - How could you not love Purin? Seriously. She's so cute, and peppy, and creative and funny, and just plain happy. She's the one you can always count on to make a dark situation light, and to make you laugh. She's friends with everyone, even her enemies (Taru-Taru! :P), and...she's the Monkey Mew! If I may repeat myself, how can you NOT love Purin? Chitose (Special A) - Does anyone remember Chitose? The little boy who invaded the S.A in Hawaii and dubbed Hikari the dog in his 'family'? Then Hikari was nice to him, and he loved her, but then he turned out to be Yahiro's little brother and we never saw him again. Well, I couldn't stop laughing when he made Hikari the dog and Akira the mother, and I thought it was so sweet when he finally ended up liking Hikari. I would love to write something about the two of them and Kei. It'd be fun... Noelle (Mermaid Melody) - Okay, technically, I haven't even really met Noelle yet, because I've only seen her in that one flashback when she sacrificed herself to save Rina. And a little bit in the final episode of the first season (yes, I skipped the unsubbed ones. I was bored! And I still want to watch them!). But from what I've seen of her, I can just tell. Plus, I've read her bio on Wikipedia about a billion times. She's fantastic. Nakao (Hana Kimi) - I know he's gay, and a total girl. He's wonderful, nontheless. So funny, and brave, and perserverent. Not to mention one of Mizuki's oldest and truest friends. And I can't help but feel sorry for him, because he's one of the only two in the entire serieswho didn't really get his happily ever after...poor kid (sniffles) Tsubasa (Gakuen Alice) - I love him for his hilarity. It seems like every other word out of his mouth makes me giggle. And when Misaki or Natsume enter the scene...I generally start laughing so hard, I start to cry. I'm grinning right now, just thinking about him. Not to mention he has just about the coolest power ever. Shadow-manipulation? Awesome. Tomoyo (Card Captor Sakura) - She is probably the sweetest girl I have ever seen. And talented, of course. She's right, Sakura-chan always looks...if not heroic, at least very, very cute in pretty much every outfit she has ever made for her. And she's always right there to catch every battle with her trusty video camera. Even if it means stepping into the danger zone (which it generally does), she's always filming. If that's not one of the sweetest, best-friendliest thing ever, I don't know what is. Kukai (Shugo Chara!) - He is awesomely awesome. I was so mad when he graduated, I almost ripped the manga. Almost. Anyway, he always knows just what to say, or to do, whenever someone is feeling down. He's probably the best friend out of all the Guardians, and he's one everyone knows they can come to when they need a good laugh. Rukia (Bleach) - She is just about the coolest anime girl I have ever seen. She's been through so much - I mean, she was this close to getting killed by her own brother! Yet, she acts completely normal. No moments of sudden depression, no crying into her pillow at night because she killed her captain however many years ago. Instead, she stomps on Ichigo's foot and tells him how incompetent he is. She has dignity without being a snob, she's an excellent fighter, she knows how to get what she wants...I could go on and on. Hani-sempai (Ouran High School Host Club) - He's adorable, he's sweet, and he loves stuffed animals and all things sugary. I think he's my soulmate. -huggles him- Really, though, there's nothing about Hani that you can't love. Trust me, and give in to the cuteness. Give in to the cuteness...give in to the cuteness... Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist) - This lady installs fear and respect into everyone she meets, man or woman. She's daring to go against the most powerful man in the world, simply for the greater good of the people. She's better with her weapon then anyone else in the entire military, no small feat. Riza Hawkeye is definitely one of the most amazing woman I have ever seen...even if she is fictional. Fuji (Prince of Tennis) - If you've watched Prince of Tennis, then I have no need to explain this one. But, for you poor, deprived people who haven't...I'll do my best. He's a genius at tennis, for one thing. Yet he's pretty modest about it, considering. He's smart, he's friendly, and he's always smiling. The smile is the biggest thing that makes Fuji, Fuji. That smile promises trouble. Fuji likes to stir things up - not that you can always prove that he's the one doing so. He's a strategist, he's a prodigy, he's...well, he's Fuji. Sunako (Wallflower) - Yet another character who can make me giggle my head off. Admittedly, she also scares me from time to time, but she generally scares me in a funny way. If that makes any sense at all, which it probably doesn't. Rinslet (Black Cat) - This girl kicks serious butt. She can think on her feet, and can blend in anywhere -the perfect spy. She can twist almost anyone around her little finger, and she's good with weapons. She is probably one of the most pwnsome anime girls of all time Hinata (Naruto) - Admittedly, she has a lot of classic 'poor little rich girl' in her, but that's not all she is. She strives to be strong, to live up to her father and her clan's high expectations. She works hard, and she always tries her best, even if sometimes her best doesn't amount to much. Her personality is so sweet. She tries to make everyone happy, even if it means some self-sacrifice, and if a friend is in trouble, she'll be the first one to help. She's hesitant, and often scared and/or embarrassed, and she faints and stutters a lot, but I just love her to pieces. Shippou (Inuyasha) - Um, hello? He's a mischievous, funny, cute little demon with fox ears and a tail. How could you not love Shippou? He's definitely the comic relief of the group, always showing up at the wrong place at the wrong time and intruding on some sort of embarrassing situation. He makes fun of Inuyasha, always worth a giggle, and loves Kagome like an adoptive mother, which is just so cute I could die. Ooh, I just want to cuddle him! Favorite Pairings (Italics indicate my favorite pairing of that genre) Anime/Manga: - Naruto - - Tokyo Mew Mew - - Mermaid Melody - - Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne - - Sailor Moon - - Card Captor Sakura - - Pretear - - Prince of Tennis - - Bleach - - Fullmetal Alchemist - - Ouran High School Host Club - - Gakuen Alice - - Black Cat - - Wallflower - - Inuyasha - - Hana Kimi - - Shugo Chara - - Spiecal A - - Beauty Pop - (~) These are the only two slash parings that I actually like (I tolerate others, and I understand and respect people who like slash pairings, even if I myself don't). Namba and Nakao I love simply because I adore Nakao-kun, and I think that he deserves a happy ending - and if Namba-sempai is the one who makes him happy, then that's who he should get. It's basically the same for Umeda and Ryouichi - I love Umeda (and his gayness) and he loves Ryouichi, so there you go. I used to kind of like Umeda and Akira together, but after much re-reading, I changed my mind (I love Ryouichi too, now, and he and Umeda go together much better). Emi and Akira are cuteness ;P Cartoons: - Pokemon - - Avatar: The Last Airbender - - Total Drama Island - - Jimmy Neutron - - Codename: Kids Next Door - - Teen Titans - - Justice League (Unlimited) - - Danny Phantom - - Kim Possible - - Xiaolin Showdown - - Magic School Bus - (~) Yes, I am aware that Jinx isn't technically in the Justice League. But whatever - Kid Flash and Flash are the same person, so I like them to be paired with the same person, whether she's 'there' or not. Books: - Harry Potter - - Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew - - Song of the Lioness (Tamora Pierce) - - The Immortals (Tamora Pierce) - - Protector of the Small (Tamora Pierce) - - Provost's Dog (Tamora Pierce) - - Maximum Ride - - Peter Pan -
Because, like everyone, I feel the need to monologue about the imperfections of the world. Oh, and by the way, before I start, let me just ask you to please not take anything I say here personally. I understand that other people disagree with what I think, and I totally respect that. These are just my opinions, and I don't intend to force them on you - you're allowed to make your own choices =P. Warning: May contain spoilers!! Least Favorite Character rants - Kikyo (Inuyasha) - I can't STAND this girl. She can't let go of her past, and she can't let anyone else let go of it either, namely Inuyasha. She's two-faced, and she can't seem to decide whether she's on the good side or the bad side. So, instead of doing the smart thing and picking, she flip-flops between the two until you're hopelessly confused and want to bang her head against something hard and scream at her to just CHOOSE ALREADY! She tries to act perfect, even though it's obvious she isn't, and she's constantly feeding off of dead souls with her little phantom-eel-thingies. Not only does she creep me out, but she's tearing apart my favorite potential pairing, for no GOOD reason! She's DEAD, she should STAY dead! And it just, just...ARRGH! It aggravates me to no end! If she could be killed, I'd kill her. (glares daggers) Aoyama Masaya (Tokyo Mew Mew) - I really hate him. First off, what are the odds that he would end up being three completely different acting characters? That was just weird, and annoying. I hated him enough when he was just her boyfriend, but they had to go add him as not only her magical protector, but the villain too? I was waiting for him to reveal himself as the sixth MewMew by the end of the series! Seriously, the guy is not that great. He did not need to be in there that much. Secondly, I absolutely can't stand his character - any of them. Making him perfect was a very bad choice. I desperately wanted him to do something remotely human, like stubbing his toe by tripping on the sidewalk, or discovering that despite all his animal rights stuff his favorite food was hamburgers, or maybe confessing to having a secret obsession with pro-wrestling, anything! But no, he is the incredibly popular, loved by boys and girls alike, human android who can do no wrong, and yet somehow still stay humble. For crying out loud, he was the villain, yet he STILL managed to end up the hero! ...Not to mention he broke up my favorite pairing. Now Ryou's stuck with Retasu. Great. (throws something sharp at stupid Mr. Perfect) Karin (Mermaid Melody) - She's so stuck up and annoying. Every time she opens her mouth, it's to blame someone, insult someone, or to just be arrogant. She has no sense of teamwork, and she can't let go of her resentment against Rina for allowing her sister to be captured. Her sister that, I might add, she had never met. Why does she care so much? And, for that matter, how does she even know it was Rina's fault in the first place? Was she there when Noelle got captured? Because from what I remember, Rina and Noelle were alone when Gaito sent his minions to attack them, and Rina went to the surface world directly after. And, out of all the mermaids, Karin has, by far, the worst voice. She can toot her own horn all she wants, she can not sing. Sakura (Naruto) - First off, she's a an overly-obsessed fangirl. Now, sometimes that's okay, because it adds a touch of humor to the situation. Ino is a good example of that: because she doesn't have too many scenes with Sasuke, whenever she does show up with him, it makes you laugh. But with Sakura, it's completely overdone, and it pops up way too often to be funny anymore. Secondly, she's weak. I mean, yes, she's got super-strength and incredible healing powers, she's the hokage's apprentice, yadda yadda yadda. But when you think about it, seriously, how much does she really do? I mean, she beats Naruto up all the time, but that's pretty much it. And she's emotionally weak and unstable. Any time something slightly bad happens to her, she either beats someone up, or bursts into tears. Not to mention that, for some obscure reason, Naruto has a crush on her, thereby destroying one of my favorite pairings, NaruHina. Sakura should go find Sasuke, kill him, then commit suicide from the guilt. Muahaha. Pairing rants - Jon x Alanna x George (Tamora Pierce) - To begin, I was incrediblely angry when in The Woman Who Rides Like a Man, Jon and Alanna who, may I remind you, had been together and/or in love almost since book one, split up. Jon lost his temper and patience - and who can blame him, since he'd been waiting so long and just recently assumed many of his tougher princely duties -, and Alanna, who was scared of commitment and afraid of what marrying Jon might mean for her country, lost her own temper. After that, Jon left, and Alanna returned to her tent. With me so far? Well, after getting back to the palace, Jon decided to take revenge by falling in love with someone else, to make Alanna jealous. To me, this says he still loved her, and was frantically trying to think of some way to win her back without endangering his feelings by going back to the desert and getting rejected for a second time. Unfortunately, his plan failed, and Alanna went to George for comfort, and then ran off to the mountains with Liam. That takes me to another point - why did Alanna move on to Liam so quickly? Simply because George wasn't there, and couldn't be there. I don't think Alanna loved either of them - she just didn't want to be abandoned twice. Skipping way ahead, to when Alanna returned with the Jewel, Jon appeared enamored with Thayet. I think this was merely a defense mechanism, used in order to prove to himself that he didn't love Alanna anymore (after all, she had already proved that she didn't need him - twice over, actually. Of course, by my reasoning, she wasn't really in love, but Jon didn't know that). This is further evidenced by the conversation he and Alanna have later, when Jon proposes to her for a second time. Alanna rejects him, again, saying it wouldn't be good for the kingdom. She says nothing about whether she wants to or not - simply asking Jon to imagine a country that she helped rule. The two of them are not mentioned as a couple again, and Jon marries Thayet, and Alanna marries George. In Wild Magic, though, when Daine first officially meets Jon and becomes a little love-struck, Ouna mentions to her that "he has this effect on most of us". Perhaps 'most of us' includes Alanna, hmm? I think she and Jon are still in love, but that there's really nothing they can do about it, since Alanna won't become queen and Jon can't step down as king. The two have moved on with their lives, but a little bit is stuck and simply won't budge. That's my opinion, anyway. Hinata rants - Hinata OOCness - Hyuuga Hinata is, by far and beyond, my favorite character in Naruto. However, on far too many occasions, I find people write stories that warp her personality. One of the most common lines in NaruHina fics is Naruto saying or thinking something along the lines of, "She used to be really shy and quiet, but she got over that." - as though her timid nature is a sickness or something that just 'healed' over time! I'll admit, even I think Hinata needs to overcome her shyness enough to not faint every time she comes in contact with Naruto - but I don't want her to completely lose her character. Shyness is part of her charm, what makes her, her. There are already plenty of strong, outgoing girls in the Naruto universe - in fact, practically every girl is exactly that! I love girl-power, but I don't want Hinata to 'mature' so much that she just becomes another Sakura. Surely, there's a way for Hinata to grow up and change without completely losing who she is right now. NaruHina Chapter?! - Okay, so anyone's who's talked to me about Naruto (or had me talk THEIR ear off about Naruto), knows that I am obsessed with Hinata, and that I think she and Naruto make the cutest couple ever, and that the main reason I can't stand Sakura (main being the operative word - there are many, many reasons) is because she is the only obstacle in their possible relationship. Now, anyone who reads Naruto, as in the manga, knows that recently Pain blew up Konaha, and we don't know who's alive or dead (besides Naruto, Shikamaru, and Team Gai, who were all out of the village at the time). I, of course, have believed in Hinata's survival all along (although I'm sure at least one of the less-important Konaha Eleven has died - Kishimoto positively delights in killing off characters T-T). In the latest chapter of Naruto, I was proved right when Hinata showed up suddenly to try and save Naruto from Pein. And then, SHE CONFESSED!! CONFESSED HER LOVE FOR NARUTO!! I was freaking out, shouting at the computer screen, giggling hysterically, etc. And then... STUPID, EVIL, I-HAVE-SWORN-ETERNAL-HATRED-TOWARDS-HIM PEIN ATTACKED HER AND NOW SHE MIGHT BE DEAD!! DEAD!! HINATA CAN'T BE DEAD, ESPECIALLY RIGHT AFTER HER LOVE CONFESSION! THAT'S WRONG! BAD! EVIL! STUPID!! Now Naruto's gone all Six-tails IN DEFENSE OF HER (you heard me, six!! SIX!! That means he was touched by her confession, right?! RIGHT?!) and he's gonna totally going to start a battle against Pein that'll probably last at LEAST ten chapters, TEN CHAPTERS WHERE I WON'T SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO HINATA!! I'M DYING!! No, wait, I'm DEAD!! Movie/Television show rants - Flash/KidFlash - Plothole! - Okay, so I’ve recently become re-obsessed with the Teen Titans. And, in turn, with the adorable/awesome pairing of Kid Flash x Jinx. Now, I love Flash. He’s easily one of my favorite characters in the superhero universe. But, in showing my love for him by watching every single episode of Justice League/Teen Titans/Static Shock, I’ve found a plothole. Now, judging from the outfit, hair color, and speech pattern (“I’m the fastest boy alive”/”I’m the fastest man alive”), Kid Flash is definitely the same person as Flash in the Justice League – aka, Wally West. Now, with Teen Titans and Justice League, that’s okay – you assume in the time between the two shows, Kid Flash grows up and becomes Flash. But then, you throw Static Shock into the mix. Virgil (Static), has met both Batman and teenage Dick Greyson/Robin (the same Robin as the one in Teen Titans), and the Justice League on separate occasions. Now, in one of the episodes with Batman, Virgil asks where Robin is. Batman replies, “With the Teen Titans.” Okay, so now we’ve established that Static Shock and Teen Titans are occurring at the same time period. Well and good. But then, Static meets the Justice League in a later episode - WITH FLASH! As in, Wally West Flash! GROWN UP Flash, not Kid Flash! How is this possible? Book Rants - Twilight (the series in general) - I picked this up because everyone I know loves these books. Everyone. I think Nica is the only exception. So I read the first book, thinking, Hey, it can't be that bad! I was wrong. I hated Bella for her humility-to-the-extreme, when we all knew she was basically as perfect as Edward (I'll get to him in a minute). Seriously, she was always putting herself down, she was obsessed with Edward to the point of fangirl (and not in a good way), and whiny. And she was so selfish! The whole of New Moon on, she was leading poor Jacob around by the nose - she put it exactly right, he was her crutch. He deserved so much better. And she somehow managed to not only completely shatter Jake's heart, but Edward's too, in her flip-flopping. And of course, she had to be the superheroine in the end. Pefection. So predictable. And then Edward! Arrgh, perfection again, only with an abusive side. He was so controlling of Bella's every move, to the point that it was insane and more then a little scary. I understand that he was trying to protect her, but seriously? To that extreme? And he kept going on and on about how Bella was such a temptation for him, but he never actually did anything. Bella had to start it all. Bo-ring. Jacob was wonderful, one of the only decent characters in any of the books. He was real, human (well, werewolf/shapeshifter, but you know what I mean)- and then the author just killed his entire character for me, in the end. "Oh, I never really loved you, Bella. I really loved your baby, because she's my Instant Soulmate, and even though she didn't even exist for the entire time I was in love with you...that doesn't matter." That is such an obvious write-off! I actually would have preferred Jacob to be desolate for a few years, rather then Stephanie Meyer push for his happy ending like that. Ugh. Emmet was great, and I liked Jasper (until Stephanie decided to make him a cliche and give him a more tragic past). Alice was lovely, although I felt her past was never really delved into - but then again, maybe that's best, because it certainly would have been just as predictably tragic as everyone else. Rosalie, I thought, was portrayed badly. Typical shallow, selfish, material blonde. With, of course, depressing past. She claimed it had changed her...but I didn't see it. Esme and Carlisle were both too perfect as well - I never saw either of them make a mistake. Also, Stephanie Meyer seemed to make everything up as she went along. No research at all, basically. And the things she came up with...they're afraid of sunlight because they sparkle?! Really? Are you serious? But, except for the characters almost all being perfect examples of Mary Sues, there being no plot until two-thirds of the way through each book, and the obvious lack of vampire research, the series was good. Maybe if I ever get past those parts, I could learn to like it. Hard to say, especially since I really don't feel like going back and re-reading. I do somewhat like the movies, though. Probably because Taylor Lautner is just so perfect as Jacob. Forgive me while I fangirl over him (squeals). Writing rants - Rival Pairing OOCness - Okay, after a few years of fanfic-surfing, one trait really begins to stand out. The love rival in whatever pairing you happen to be reading is almost always portrayed badly - as in, totally evil and/or stupid - and every other character hates him/her by the end. That really annoys me. This may be hypocrytical of me, because I hate most of those characters that end up being bashed. But really, it gets old fast. Let's use a Naruto example, shall we? Ahem...Naruto finally realizes he loves Hinata. Naruto and Hinata begin to get together. Sakura shows up, frothing at the mouth and screaming, "ZOMG NARUTO I THOUGHT YOU LOVED MEEEEE...!!" and proceeds to try and either a) hurt Hinata, b) kiss Naruto, or c) run away crying pitifully. Or, another scenario, Naruto was originally dating Sakura, until he suddenly discovered she was cheating on him (x-x) and runs to Hinata for comfort. OR, Sakura discovers Naruto is dating Hinata, and she goes on a long monologue about how she missed out on the best thing that could have happened in her life, blah blah blah. Now, all three of those scenarios are completely out of character for Sakura - they're just pointless bashing. Sakura's personality leans more towards denial that she had ever loved a dork like Naruto at all, or at least happiness that he has found someone special for him, because she is his friend, after all. I agree that it must be fun to write a whole paragraph about a broken, angry, more-then-a-little-insane Sakura - but I really don't want to read about it. I want to read stuff that's in-character, not OOC rage towards said character. Clothing Descriptions?! - Have you ever come across a fanfic that just went on and on and on about what everyone was wearing? Like, a paragraph for each outfit? With brand names, and specific details like the number of buttons on the jacket or something? And, if you have come across such a story, have you ever been drawn into it, pouring over each sentence and becoming enthralled by the lengthy description? I thought not. I'm been running into an increasing amount of fics like that lately, and it's killing me. No one actually cares what each character is wearing, let alone what the brand name of whatever they're wearing is! I mean, I can take a sentence or two, but when the first chapter includes a page long description of each character's outfit...I drop the fic. Off of a 90-foot cliff. And don't tell me you wouldn't do the same. I mean, I understand that the author of the story generally has a picture in their heads of how they want each character to look, and they're trying to share that image with the reader. But really, shouldn't the reader should be able to form their own image of what the character looks like? And, if the author simply must share their own image, post a link to a picture of the dress or the shoes or whatever at the end chapter. Easy solution, and that way the reader doesn't have to wade through pages of description in order to get to the real story. Friends On FanFiction: . Cherrie S. xx - the best Tokyo Mew Mew author I've ever read. ...Well, maybe she's tied with KittyKat K.O. and Kish's Kittie, but she's definitely up there in the top three. Not to mention she's such a wonderful person in general - she's so funny, and creative, and it's freaky how much of the same stuff we like. She totally inspires me. Whenever I have writer's block, all I need to do is run over to her profile and read a chapter or two. Instant Writer's Block Begone - like magic! Seriously, thought, she's 'fantabulous' ;D. Argh, I wish I had more time to read - I'm so far behind in all her stuff, and I'm anxious to know what happens next. If you're reading this, Cherrie-chan, sorry! I'll R&R eventually! . hissoritenshi - the only author I know in real life (unless you count Alexa, see below). She's one of the friends I can best relate to - we have a lot in common - small stature, a love for sarcasm (although she uses it a lot more then I do ;P), art, writing, Archie comics (xD), and anime and manga, of course. We even like the same pairings, usually =D. If given the time, I think we could talk all day long without ever getting bored. Though I think Tenshi's taste in anime boys is slightly off (-cough- Sasuke and Kabuto! -cough-), she's slowly swaying me to the dark side - she's very persuasive, and if you talk to her long enough you'll usually find yourself agreeing with her. She's pretty new to the site, but she's got some really original ideas, and her stories are fun to read. I'd check her out, if I were you ;D. . Lexaluff - the girl of the billion pennames (though perhaps she has broken herself of this now. We can hope!). This is actually Nica's twin, Alexa, but she goes by her nickname on FF. I, personally, don't like to read her writing, because it's a little too fluffy and descriptive for my tastes (and of course, there's the fact that she's never finished any story she's started...). But I know she has lots of fans who love to read her work. Lexa is also one of two people I know in real life who have watched Full Metal Alchemist - although she's a RoyEd fan, instead of a Royai girl like me, which makes for some interesting arguments sometimes.Lexa is also my sad-movie buddy. For example, me, Lexa, Nica, and Rina were watching that movie 'Hotel for Dogs' back when it was still in theaters, on a weekday when the theater was completely empty. At the part where the two main characters are torn apart to be brought to different orphanages, me and Lexa were in our seats practically sobbing.Rina and Nica were sliding down the banisters of the stairs and giggling excitedly. Yeah. Love ya', Lexa! . KARINRIN - Anita-chaaaan~! Maggie's sister, has finally gotten a Fanfiction account! And, as expected, she's wonderful. She's officially gotten me interested in Vocaloid (nods). Anyhoo, about Anita - well, she (and Maggie) are in my Tae Kwon Do class, for one thing. Both are red-black belts, which means they should promote to black belts next promotion :D. They, Christina, and Jaye Leen (whose name I'm sure I've spelled wrong) are the only girls in my Kids TKD class at this point. Also, Anita (and Maggie!) are Chinese. (They went to China for, like, two months this summer to visit relatives. I was insanely jealous, and missed both of them desperately.) This, of course, makes them bi-lingual (again, JEALOUS!!), possibly even tri-lingual, since I know they can read Japanese - they might speak it too. I should ask... Anyway, go check out her profile! Off FanFiction: . Nica - My best friend in the universe - and Alexa's twin. She's the kind of person who I can finish sentences for -giggles-. We laugh at the same things, are annoyed by the same people, love the same food...etc, etc. She's the shoulder I can always cry on, and I can always count on her to make me smile. She supports me in everything I do, and I like to think I do the same for her. She's also about the friendliest and sweetest girl you will ever meet - no one can hate Nica. ...Well, except Casey, Nick, and Sam, but they're all evil and don't count. And Duskeh, which I really don't get at all. Anyway, we've been best friends almost since we first met about four years ago, and I don't think we've ever really fought. Heck, I don't think we've even had a minor disagreement! We do basically everything we possibly can together. We even have an array of matching shirts, and get made fun of together. I am so lucky to be able to be so close to such a wonderful person like her. . Rina - My little sister. She can be a major brat at times, but no one can deny that she is probably one of the funniest people on Earth, if she's in a good mood. She's very creative, although she has too short of an attention span to stick with one thing for too long. She's actually Alexa's best friend, and together, the four of us are the 'Sparkle Girls'! -giggles- I didn't get to pick the name. . Tori - the basic definition of 'blonde'. We all love her anyway, though. She's a belt below me in my Tae Kwon Do class, but she would've been higher if she hadn't gotten sick that one year. She always provides a good laugh, and she has a love for jewelry and other sparkly things - and who doesn't? She can't play sports at all, but everyone always aims for her during dodgeball anyway, and makes fun of her when she gets hit. Ah, poor Tori...=P . Maggie - the biggest of us jellybeans. Maggie is probably the most mature one of our little Tae Kwon Do group. Technically, that spot should belong to either me or Tenshi, since she's younger then both of us by a couple months, but neither me or Tenshi are really capable of acting our age - me especially =P. Maggie is the one we all generally pity, mostly because of her height. Now I, personally, had always wanted to be tall - but that changed after I met Maggie and saw her trials. She's always put in the kicking line with the black belts, because she kicks too hard for us smaller lower belts to hold the bag for - last time they tried it, a kid stumbled back halfway across the room. And, since there are basically no girl black belts (Courtney and Morgan are the only exceptions, I think, and Morgan doesn't always come to class), she ends up in the scariest line, without even a friend to share the misery with. It's so sad... . Shannon - girl of insanity. I actually haven't seen Shannon in...over a year now, I think. She injured her ankle last year, then, just as it started to get better, she fell out of a tree or something and broke it again. Typical of her, but annoying. At one point, she was a belt higher then me, but now, whenever she re-joins Tae Kwon Do, she'll be several belts lower then me. It's a real shame. Anyway, Shannon is very random and hyper - so much so that a couple of people actually call her 'Naruto' -, but she's prone to major mood swings. . Duskeh - late-nighter. And when I say late-nighter, I mean it. One time, she woke up at 9 AM, and didn't go back to sleep until eleven PM the next day. I don't know how she does it. Maybe it's the time difference - she lives in Wyoming (I know, I didn't think anyone lived there either!), and I've never actually met her in real life. But I've been IMing with her for well over two years now. She's a wonderful author, although she only writes original stories and claims she doesn't see the point of FanFiction, and she usually writes more then 2000 words per day. That's pretty amazing to me, who barely makes that total a month sometimes. I haven't talked to her in a while now - not since summer, actually. I feel really guilty, but I really just haven't had time to get on IM ;_;. Book/TV/Movie Quotes

' Dawn began to settle across the skies of Konoha village. Bright streaks of orange and pink cut through the clouds like heavenly kunai. A light dew clung to the grass. The slightly chilly wind whistled through the trees. The field behind the old training academy was empty, save one solitary blond ninja slowly swinging on an abandoned tree swing. ' "Ah! Momo-chan-senpai, Echizen!" Horio waved him over. "Look!" He held out a box full of tennis balls. '“Pickles aren’t meant to be eaten.” ' “Sh-Shikamaru-san!” Shikamaru’s eyes widened for a split second before relaxing a bit when he realized who it was. He had to admit that he was actually delighted that it was only Hyuga Hinata whom he had run into. Ruka sighed. "Natsume, does it really still piss you off that Sakura wears the necklace Andou gave her?"
