DJ Kitsune is my handle but the person that I am really is a 24 year old resident of Springfield, Missouri who loves to write stories and come up with creative ideas. I have two book ideas in the brainstorming phase: "The Tale of The Journeying Races" and "MagiTech". As for my interests/inspirations, I'm a huge fan of comics and graphic novels especially non-superhero works (although I like to read Avengers, Spider-man, X-Men, JLA, and Teen Titans on occasion).
And now for the profiles of my stories in full...
The B and B/The B and B: Second Shift: This series started as an entry for the Neopets Story Contest that is on the Neopets site every month. When my account was frozen for some unexplained reason, I decided to finish the series rather than let it just sit around and collect dust. It revolves around two characters created by Neopets for three of their games i.e. Princess Fernypoo and Hannah (Hawthorne is my made up last name for her). Armin and Kanrik are also Neopets characters involved with Hannah and they help run their upstart bed and breakfast, hence the name.
The Prower Chronicles: Path of the Chosen One: I'd probably came up with 14-15 versions of this story before the one that eventually found its way here and it's the one I'm most proud of...and it seems 3,000+ others agree. It all revolves around the death of Cosmo and Miles Prower's attempt, many years later, to move on with his life. Little does he know the journey that it will take him on or that the soulmate he lost would return, marry him, and be the love of his life once more. I should note that I've learned a lot about not falling into writing potholes i.e. writing plot lines that I can't make fit with other plot lines...I'm a detail person, I'm afraid.
The Prower Chronicles: Crucible of Truth: This series introduces a villian straight from Japanese mythology and expandes my use, and the use of readers who fuss over details, of Wikipedia. It also gave me more writing potholes than the first one hence the two day hiatus of having to delete, and correct, chapter six of the story. The Swat Kats finally make their appearance after the death of Dr. Viper, one of their many...many foes. And I finally realized, at about chapter four, that this series could become an epic with a great finale...but you'll have to wait for TPC part three for that.
Star Fox: The New Rivals: This is one of the three substories that continues the plotline of 'The Prower Chronicles' while being a story that stands up on its own (in my opinion). Star Fox is one of the groups named by Inari, Miles Prower's ancestoral mother and the Goddess of Foxes/Fertility/Rice (in Japanese mythology) as being assigned the caretaker of one of the Chaos Emeralds. Unfortunately, Falco decides to let Fox's former girlfriend Krystal look at it with her new boyfriend Panther Caruso. They run off with it, of course, and the story continues as Team Star Fox tries to recover the gem before it falls into the hands of Andross, who seeks it, the other emeralds, and a group of seven strange and deadly parchments that are said to be able to summon the power of Order itself.
Swat Kats: Brothers In Blood: The second of three substories, the Swat Kats are entrusted with one of the emeralds but, surprise, their archnemesis Dark Kat and his new sidekick Hard Drive seek it and the other emeralds and parchments. Also, a romance between Razor and Felina Feral begins to emerge and Miles Prower is already thinking of hiring the Swat Kats for the corporation he hopes to create...if he ever gets any peace and quiet to do so.
Metroid: The New Assignment: The third of three substories, Samus Aran no sooner finds out that the race of Chozo which raised her, and was seeming exterminated by Ridley, may have survived then she arrives there and watches hundreds, then thousands of Chozo perish from the effects of a parchment that was found on the planet of Zebes. The Chaos Emerald that she carries protects her, and many other Chozo from death but the Chozo race isn't safe. Ridley seeks the Choas Emeralds and the parchments and will do anything to get them...even finish the job on Zebes that he started if necessary.
The Character Profiles for 'The B and B' and 'The B and B: Second Shift':
Princess Fernypoo: She not only co-owns "Hannah and Ferny's Bed and Breakfast" but she also 'donated' her castle as its building giving it a complete renovation/makeover, of course. She considers the 'B and B' as it is affectionately called her way of making up for being such a spoilt brat for so long. Her business philosophy reflects her new change in attitude: a home-like atmosphere, word of mouth advertising, and building excellent relationships with both customers and crew.
Hannah Hawthorne: About as completely opposite of Ferny as can be business-wise, Hannah's desire is to see the bed and breakfast expand to the point of becoming a franchise. Her financial worries from having endured poverty early in life and having the Bringer War destroy her treasure hunting enterprise fuel her desire to make sure her newest investment doesn't fizzle out. So far Ferny has successfully enforced her final say in the fate of the restaurant they co-own but that may soon change...
Kanrik and Mariko Crestmere: Friends from a very young age, Kanrik and Mariko both have former ties to the infamous 'Thieves Guild' which semi-redeemed itself during the Bringer War. A battle with Mariko's brother briefly strained their relationship but marriage, and Kazuya's redemption, has now made their bond stronger.
Anastasia and Armin: The much younger couple are still in high school but their friendship's strength mirrors that of Kanrik and Mariko. Lately, however, the strain of Ana's pursuit of acadamic honors and achievements have made Armin the object of Ana's scorn as he is desperate to show her that she is doing too much and is about to mentally burn out.
The Character Profiles for 'The Prower Chronicles' and its spinoffs:
Miles 'Tails' Prower: The death of his soulmate Cosmo when he was only twelve haunted his ever waking moment until, many years later, he decided to leave the team he'd been a part of for so long to try and come to terms with both his life and his broken soul. Joining up with Team Star Fox for a time, Miles discovered a plot by Andross, Ridley, Dr. Robotnik, and Dr. Viper to use a revolutionary drug called Regeneral to create an invincible army. Added to this was the revelation by Sally Acorn that Sonic had purposely let Cosmo die to keep him on the team. The shock put Miles into a coma which caused his soul to enter heaven where he found out that Cosmo was in hell for what the gods had ruled was a death by suicide. His rescue of Cosmo's soul allowed Miles to resurrect her through the seed that he'd grown to adulthood in secret. Together again, they now fight the real enemy who betrayed them: Tomomo Mae.
Cosmo Prower: Having spent nearly nine years in a torture chamber in the depths of hell, Cosmo has become something almost completely opposed to her soulmate. Vengeful, angry, and with her natural abilities and skills heightened, she has had to learn patience and temperment as her hatred for Tomomo Mae continues to boil. Her soulmate only hopes that when the final battle between them occurs, he is far, far, away.
Tomomo Mae: The nine-tailed demon fox, resident of hell, and sister of the fox goddess Inari. She was behind the framing of Sonic the Hedgehog for the death of Cosmo, the creating of the Regeneral armies, and now acts as a force of continued harassment for both Miles and Cosmo. Recently due to her apparent fear of Miles and Cosmo's growing strength, she released her control of the many thousands of Inari's children that had served her but in reality they may be still serving her as spies...in preparation for the enacting of plans even more sinister and dangerous than before...
